Is there anything like the opposite of Dolled-Up Installment? Something like In All But Name maybe? To Trope the fact that Brazil is Gilliam's Nineteen Eighty Four, he just couldn't get the rights to the real novel, so made his own. I guess Nosferatu would be like that for Dracula also. Captain Ersatz doesn't seem quite right, since it's referring to an entire work, and at least in the case of Brazil it took on a life of its own, independent of the framework/story of the original.
