Do you need any help? Also, would it help you if a notice not to add any new WMGs until the split is complete were put on top of the page?
Yes a notice would be a big help, as that will ensure that no new WMGs are lost in the shuffle.
In the past i've found that it actually works best if I do the splitting myself, as if multiple people are editing you run into a situation where people are either locked out or editing over top of each other, which can get a bit messy.
The best way to help would be to review the new pages after I'm done to make sure I've put everything in the right place.

Great! I will let you know when it's ready!

The open pages should have plenty of room now going forward. Down the road, if either of them start to approach the 400k mark, we can simply make a third open page to relieve the pressure.

Regulated fun - the best kind! I don't make the rules, just enforce them with an iron fist.

Long story short, if a split isn't done, this article could end up locked. To fix this, I plan to split the current main article into the following sub-pages:
This setup has worked pretty well for other WMG pages, and should give a lot more breathing room while at the same time solving editing and folder-breakage issues.
It will take me a couple of days to sort all of the entries into the correct sub-pages before I change the main article. In the meantime, please let me know if you have any objections to this strategy.
