I felt this page needed cleaning up, so I did. Two reasons:

1. The page had a lot of rudeness and ridicule towards the fanfic community, which is not what we do. Did you read the front page of this wiki? We don't bash things here.

2. Many of the examples were blatantly disregarding the fact that Sailor Earth is supposed to stand for not messing up universe continuity.

I'm sorry.

Much appreciated. There are plenty of pages infested with negativity and complaining, disregarding also that Tropes Are Not Bad.

As a fan of Fringe esoteric conspiracy stuff, I once constructed a "Sailor Nibiru" named for the infamous "Planet X" as an evil Dark Sailor scout. I never actually wrote a story featuring her though.

Her Costume was like Mars but replacing the usual White with Black. But her hair was Red.

More recently I've become a fan of the Theory that the Asteroid Belt used to be a Planet (Often Hypothetical named Vulcan), I wonder a Senshi has been written based on that.

Yes, there have been "Sailor (Planet That Later Became The Asteroid Belt)" characters. "Vulcan" was actually the planet between the Sun and Mercury, and there have been "Sailor Vulcan(s)" too. If you look up 'fictional planets of the solar system' on Wikipedia, you'll also see Counter-Earth, Nibiru/Nemesis, etc.—and I'm willing to bet there's at least one fanfic writer who's created Senshi for each of them...

I do like the idea of an evil Sailor Nibiru, though. I may have to use that one myself sometime... ^_^

At the top: "Please don't list this on a work's page as a trope. It just defines a fan-speak term. No examples, please."

Down below: "Examples..."

Is this a case of left-hand-right-hand or what?

That's gone now. Now we get a "No Personal Examples, Please". I thought there was No Such Thing As Notability

It is funny that no Power Rangers team ever simply used all 6 Primary Colors.

But speaking of Power Rangers, I remember a Youtube Video that has Geno Disguise himself as a Sixth Axem Ranger Blue was the Color I believe.

I've heard of a Mario Fandom character named Yoshette, I assume that's supposed to be the Pink Yoshi.

Back to the Trope Namer's comment on Tuxedo Mask, I would actually have Considered the Sun more logical for The Moon's Husband, based on Mythology.

I'm surprised there are no Batman examples. If there is a Batman, a Batgirl, and a Batwoman, what about Batboy?

For a work like Silent Hill, the only consistent "character" between all games is the distortion of reality that emanates from Silent Hill (even the town itself isn't consistently in the games...) so shouldn't a Silent Hill fanfic be EXPECTED to have almost entirely new characters? Just characters called to the town / to the town's extensions the same way that Harry / James / Heather / Henry / etc have been?

Given that Pokemon Special is an adaptation, I think that this qualifies:

  • Incidentally, Pokemon Special has two Sailors Earth* among the Dexholders: Yellow* and Emerald

Reason being is that they satisfy the rubrics of:

  1. Conforming to a limited team condition and
  2. Being created wholecloth by the mangaenka, and not by the game staff.

And, yes, "Sailors Earth" is the proper plural.

Just so we're clear, how is this trope related to Original Flavour?

Why is Sailor Earth listed as a sub trope of Mary Sue? It's not always a bad thing to have one of these in a fanfic. I'm writing a FMA fanfic that includes an eighth homunculus; Of course, she's a chronic Buttmonkey, and prone to being a victim of Slapstick Knows No Gender, so would that still make her a Sue?

Because many Sailor Earths are Mary Sues. So it is right to include them in that index, because that is where people often find them. It makes it clear in the trope description that it is often used for this. Remember, even "negative" tropes are just tools and not necessarily bad in and of themselves. There are actual well written Mary Sue tropes out there.

Regarding the Fullmetal Alchemist example, I've sometimes toyed with the notion of four homunculi named after the Horsemen of the Apocalypse: War, Pestilence, Famine and Death.

It says there's no [[Claymore]] #48. Anyone care to explain why?
