It is not friendly fireproof. I watched my first master assassin clutch his skull and drop to the ground from the apple. It could go under YMMV, under both, perhaps?
Well, one thing is for sure: Using it the first time you get it will cost you full synchronization for that memory.
This troper's with Awesome But Impractical. It wouldn't be a problem if you could just use your Hidden Blade (for crying out loud, you have two of them) while holding it, but no. When guards start surrendering and kneeling in submission (meaning that the Assassin recruits no longer attack them) but your objective is to kill them all, the only way to finish them off is with the Apple? Makes no sense.
It's neither...you're forced to use it and the situation you're in when you use it is appropriate for the kind of damage it does.
No historical source contains the information that Cesare Borgia died by "falling from a ledge". The most common theory is that he died in his bed during the siege of Viana during the malaria outbreak. Historians argue if he actually succumbed to the sickness or if he was poisoned.
Hide / Show RepliesThen change the example and give this as your reason.
"We're still flying." "That's not much." "...it's enough."Leonardo never designed anything even remotely resembling machine gun. Sure, he designed many multi-barelled organ guns but these were well known for almost a century. Also, the tank design is real but no prototype has ever been built.
I take issue with Ho Yay being in the YMMV tab. Leonardo is all but explicitly stated to be gay. His bio states that he 'might' be gay and the DLC has many, many lines from Leonardo, Salai, and Ezio heavily suggesting that Leonardo and Salai are a couple (including Salai's bio). My understanding of Ho Yay is that a line, taken out of context, makes it sound like people are gay, but these lines, in context, STILL show Leonardo as being gay. I would just delete it, but I want to make sure I'm not alone in thinking this.
Hide / Show RepliesHo Yay is not about lines out of context, but about gay subtext. Still, I do think it shouldn't be in the YMMV tab, since, like you mentioned, the game openly mentions the possibility of him being homossexual, and goes out of it's way to indicate he really is without outright stating it.
Wait wait wait, is what I'm hearing right, that everything is Lost Forever after the Point of No Return?
Ezio seems to have realized that something is going on with Minerva and her ilk. At the end of The Da Vinci Disappearance DLC, he just shrugs off that "the message was not meant for us." And given that Ubisoft is going to make more AS:B Dl C, he's going to get more just like it! I want to say butt monkey, but that's not quite it...
Other Crowning Moments of Heartwarming?
So far, there is only one entry in Brotherhood's CMOH subsection. Isn't there anything more we can add to it? Is the reunion of Bartolomeo and his wife heartwarming enough to be "crowning"? Anything else come to anyone's mind?
Hide / Show RepliesAll the crowning tropes have decayed to "moments of funny/awesome/heartwarming" rather than specifically crowning moments, so you can basically put whatever you want in there anyway.
Hey, would anyone mind if I were to start up a page for Project Legacy?
Hide / Show RepliesGo right ahead. Just be sure to index it properly.
Unclouded TJ: Taking Bunny-Ears Lawyer too literally.Right. I'm gonna get to work on this then, especially now tat we've got this new set of Holiday memories
Wow I didn't even notice they put in the Holiday Memories Set. I thought the blurb was just saying happy Holidays.
Anyway you need any help just ask.
Unclouded TJ: Taking Bunny-Ears Lawyer too literally.Concerning the female assassins thing... we have three different tropes all referencing the matter, including the Sisterhood cheat: Amazon Brigade, Harem Seeker, and The Squadette. Should some kind of trope merger take place (Amazon Brigade / The Squadette)? Should some of them be removed? Maybe use "trope-in-text" for some, like put "Harem Seeker" in the text referencing the Sisterhood cheat?
Edited by Kimarous Hide / Show RepliesAgreed. Pulled the Harem Seeker example, because the definition of the trope was completely different from what the example stated. It's about a character who maintains multiple love interests, not someone who recruits an Amazon Brigade.
THE APPLE OF EDEN: AWESOME BUT IMPRACTICAL, OR IN-UNIVERSE GAME BREAKER?
Awesome, but Impractical: The Apple of Eden is Cast from Hit Points, you can't use any other weapon while holding it, nor can it be used to hit specific targets.
Game-Breaker: You just have to know it's a Charged Attack. Activate it, and it acts as a pseudo-Smart Bomb - yellow and white rings spread from your feet, the yellow ring brainwashes guards, the white ring makes them lose their minds completely. Each time you activate it, it triggers Bullet Time - just wait until the rings hit your target, then release the button to watch guards either slaughter each other or collapse into whimpering wrecks. It's Friendly Fireproof - it has no effect whatsoever on Assassins, ether old guard like Machiavelli or the ones you recruit. It is Cast from Hit Points, but it also provides a powerful Healing Factor - giving it Bottomless Magazines.
