One hat again? People really need to let their You Know That Thing Where propositions sit around longer for further review. For one, the description suggests less sophisticated monsters are being turned away from as the fiction of yesteryear. Fine, but consider the Asura class. The Rakshasas in particular were man eating monsters expelled from Brama's realm after he created them on accident, yet they also studied vigorously, meditated, grew gardens and developed a sophisticated society. Ravana, possibly the biggest bad in Hinduism, was honored for his respectable points after Rama, the avatar of the god of the universe, killed him.

Okay, so that example is not considered "fictional" but "cultured warrior" monsters are not exactly a recent concept, and if it stuck around little before launch it may have been launched with a better description...more examples too. Vali, Bali, Jatayu, Tripurasura, they are all featured in the same work Ravana is and might be worth mentioning too.

This predates the hat system, so it was launched with zero hats technically. IAT, we've been over this.

I must have missed where you explained it because where I see it, there is a link to the You Know That Thing Where and it only has a single hat. So, you can point me to where you already proved me wrong, prove me wrong here or argue that the description is not in need of help and might not need to go back through you know that thing where.

YKTT Ws that predate the hat system retroactively got a hat (yeah, it's weird, I know). It's why so many of the tropes you've rallied against all got launched with specifically one hat; there was no other possible alternative.

I'm not saying there aren't issues with the tropes themselves (the entire reason we GOT the hat system was because there was no way to know when a YKTTW was "ready" for launch so they're hit or miss) but I'm just trying to correct you on that specific fact and you keep ignoring me.

If your issue is with the trope, then list what the issues are, not just say "one hat again?"

Which I see you've now done, so cool.

Just sayin', focusing on the hat thing undermines your (very legitimate) other points. I'm trying to help.

Fine, from now on I will just point out my problems, I did not realize old topics were just given a hat retroactively.

So I guess we might as well break some things down here. The last line says Sub-Trope of Monstrous Humanoid but does it always have to be a humanoid? (taking the knight part kind of literally). Granted, I cannot think of many non humanoid examples that are not outright xeno fiction or from mons series. I suppose Xeno fiction does not count because there are no humans to contrast with and intelligence to follow human instruction is kind of expected of mons so that might not count either. (still, the secret Victree Bell societies described in the Pokémon Red and Blue, the trainer hating Bulbasaur and Bulbasaur evolution gatherings from Pokémon, the wolf-like Tiger bandits from Monster Rancher and Tiger's expy Dorulumon from Digimon Xros Wars seem to indicate it would be possible to pull off non human monsters societies and warrior culture even if they would not work as examples on this page in particular.

Maybe No-Name The Gladiator Brood from Planet Hulk would be a straight example since the brood were considered an evil swarming hive but this one was trained as a gladiator and teamed up with the Hulk to liberate the planet? (So it was a brood forced into the role rather than a product of its own culture but it seems "honorable" and more importantly, is not humanoid)

Can you alter your examples to fit the page? They're better then most of the current examples in it.

Okay, I was going to do so earlier today but I could not find my copy of the Ramayana. I'll work out the other propositions next if you think they are okay.
