How is this trope any different than Easily Forgiven? What constitutes as insane come off as YMMV. I can think of some objective criteria that distinguish it from Easily Forgiven:
- It's called out in-universe as absurd.
- They prove forgiving them was wrong.
- It otherwise backfires on the forgiver(s).
Any thoughts?
