Sounds like Art Shift or Art-Shifted Sequel.

Animation Bump can be for a random episode being better than average or Off-Model can be for a random episode being worse.

Is there a trope for where the animation is wildly different from the regular animation for a particular episode?
This is an episode from The Pink Panther (1993 TV series) with typical animation style: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HGLhtrbaTo
However, the 1995 episode Hamm-N-Eggz looked wildly different: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HGLhtrbaTo
as did the 1995 episode The Texas Toads (compare how the humans look in the first episode, A Royal Pain, to the farmer guy with the beard and Tex Luthor in this episode, their Lex Luthor Captain Ersatz): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKmbhjIbTLc
Is there a trope for where, depending on which character is the focus of the episode, a different animation style and type of drawing is used?
