This needs a link to a reliable source that mentions that people see something as offensive. The Compendium link not mentions that someone see the Aperusa as offensive.

Citation means exactly what it sounds like; the idea is to prove the example is an actual criticized issue and not just one individual troper complaining about a personal soapbox. If there's a dozen articles out there - and I think I've actually heard of this myself, so I'd assume there are - just link one or more and the first entry should be fine.

(Dunno what to do about the second one, though - that sounds horribly cringeworthy but Spelljammer is a pretty forgotten setting, so there's probably not that much analysis of it out there of any kind).

Oh, I wanted to ask; in issue #25 of the original run of Thunderbolts, when the T-bolts ambush and steal the costumes of five members of the Masters of Evil, African-American Charcoal complains "Sure, sure, go ahead. Put the black kid in the monkey costume. That's reallll PC." Would this count as a Lampshade Hanging on M'Baku's racial controversy?

The second bullet entry violates Example Indentation.

These three ones seem like the only Vistania cites that might count; the others are forum threads or tumblr posts. These three are blog posts though, so I'd get more feedback before using them.

Once you get the citations sorted out, you submit the edit request to the Locked Pages thread, in the FAQ forum. Write it up exactly as you want it posted, including formatting; the mods can open the post to capture everything.

Whether a blog counts as a good source for a citation depends on how long running it is and the reputation it has. Otherwise, it comes across as just one person's gripe, rather then a representation that a lot of people would see the examples as UL.

@Candi: That's not necessary, none of the pages WanderingBowser wants to edit are locked. Right now, anyone can edit the Unfortunate Implications page and said works YMMV pages.

We've kind of had this discussion before.

I think the community decided stuff like Tumblr and forum posts aren't really citable sources for this trope and you need to have at least a couple write-ups from more reputable sources with some level of cred in discussing the medium.

^^Argh! Not at you. It's been hard to keep track of some of this stuff.

Hopefully I'll be better at it -and more involved- now that I'm on a new contract with a net provider that doesn't have a data cap.

That's going to be problematic; most D&D fans agree that the Vistani and Aperusa are some really nasty Unfortunate Implications, but neither TSR nor Wizards of the Coast have ever issued a formal apology for them, so it's impossible to point out on the pages, then. But thanks, I can at least add the note about M'Baku.

Find stuff from popular news sites like Kotaku, etc.

There's gotta be some publication that reviews tabletop games?? Or Dnd?
