Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
I hear you, that's one of the most controversial episodes of the show, and one of the biggest complain magnets. When the Simpsons cleanup thread was made, that episode was the very first thing that was brought up. Still, if they undid your edits after you deleted theirs, that's an edit war. And complaining is still complaining.
Edited by Shadow8411Do I have permission to undo these edits?
I'm not able to answer that, but if you don't get a consensus here, here are links to The Simpsons cleanup and Removing complaining, bashing and other negativity from the wiki forum threads.
Bumping, as an Edit War occurred and should be addressed.
TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup Of Complaining | Troper WallArticles should always be written from a neutral perspective. Avoiding Complaining About Shows You Don't Like is a must.
I'd like to apologize for all this.It looks like complaining to me, and I'd say go for reversion.
The troper is already edit warring, and you did bring it in for discussion. You could try PM'ing the troper to work it out if you're comfortable doing that.
I didn't choose the troping life, the troping life chose meI just sent them a message.
This feels like a premature edit war complaint. I'd pull the examples in question to the discussion page for the time being.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIn this case, the examples were already removed, but added back, so it seems there was already an edit war.
Edited by costanton11I commented out the examples and started a discussion thread over whether or not they should stay.
The recap page The Simpsons S18E18 "The Boys of Bummer" has a big complaining problem. A while ago I noticed that a troper named Noob Master added a bunch of edits complaining about the character Joe LaBoot, calling him evil. I removed those entries or moved them under tropes that were more appropriate (i.e. Even Evil Has Standards to Everyone Has Standards). Recently, Noob Master edited the page again and undid some of my edits. They re-added Evil All Along and moved the Everyone Has Standards back to Even Evil Has Standards. They also moved Hypocritical Humor back under Hypocrite.
