Odds are certainly against it. It's already too long to be guaranteed a full adaptation, but too short to get a full story to mine out. It has the Akamatsu Adaptation Curse Precedent all over it. It relies too much on a previous series that, anime-wise, never had a single major hit to be remembered. It's too bloody and has too much fanservice to be left uncensored unless it's shown by midnight, but that's not the time slot for Shounen adaptations.

Cue an adaptation based loosely enough on UQ Holder that it actually doesn't suck.

Thing is, you pretty much need to discard Touta as a protagonist in order to make it not suck, because UQ Holder's main problem is Touta and the fact that the story revolves around him like a bad fanfic.

Just posted the rewrite of the first chapter of Magic is what you want it to be and added the second chapter. I might restart work on it this week.

... OK, call me crazy, but I just had this idea pop into my head about a Negima AU.

In an alternate world, His Royal and Imperial Majesty Negius Albinus Theopandorus Ambrosius Entheophysia (he prefers "Negi", though) is the Imperial Crown Prince for the throne of Vespertatia, a small island country somewhere in Europe, with his mother dead, his father missing, and his older cousin Nekane as his de facto regent until he comes of age. Though very polite and precociously intelligent, he is still very much a child... which manifests in his odd, nigh-compulsive habit of seeking out young girls and women from around the world that resemble his mother in some way or the other, to fill in an emotional void in his heart that not even Nekane was able to fulfill.

... Well, that's quite correct: It's not so much that he seeks them out, but rather that many girls and women from practically all walks of life tend to become enamored with the adorable child for one reason or the other, and the only ones he could not find in himself the will to decline their desire to join the Imperial Household are the ones that do bear a resemblance to his mother. And then Nekane found the whole thing cute enough that she started to recruit girls with the requisite traits on her own, further adding to Negi's embarrassment.

It's the same type of idea Marq has been trying to push around since I first saw him.

Marq seems moderately good at coming up with starting points, but now that you mention it, I can't think of a single time I've ever seen him suggest an ending.

It ends with a sucession of fast forward vignettes showing single panel epilogues for everyone after the Big Bad is defeated offpanel, of course.
