I had Stephanie Nadolny in my mind personally. and Josh Keaton as Josuke. And Grant Goodeve as Kira.
In my mind, Okuyasu is Christopher Sabat doing his Kuwabara voice. .... and in hindsight, I think that's pretty much the only Jojo character I've ever really given a voice to in my head, possibly barring Jamieson Price (Kirei Kotomine; Lordgenome) as Pucci.
And by now we all know I always saw Dio as Cam Clarke. Something overly theatrical maybe.
Y'know, I think I can actually see that.
@Eva Unit 01: strangely enough, the voice i used for Pucci was Laurence Fishburne.
and i had Josh Keaton for Young Joseph. also, perhaps subconsciously, i had Yuri Lowenthal as both Caesar Zeppeli and Bruno Buccelati.

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.I need to think someone British for Young Joseph. I guess...Adam Howden if he can't make Jonathan?
JYB (Lelouch- and Izaya-style) was my mental voice for Giorno, come to think of it.
So, gonna crowdsource here.... I need some help coming up with powers for a certain Stand in a fanfic I'm planning out...
Anyone want to help?

http://vocabulary.com/dictionary/ Just click that button that reads "Random Word" and create an ability around whatever word you get. It's an almost guaranteed method to reach Araki levels of randomness.
Speaking of Stands, Jobin's has been revealed. It's pretty fucked up lookin: http://volavolavolavola.tumblr.com/image/103016118242
dude, me too! -high fives-
... it looks a bit like John Lennon.

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.Well, I'm starting on volume 2 of Steel Ball Run now. It's nice to have a break from the Stand craziness for a while and go back to non-Psychic Powers wierdness.
Now coming on the end of SBR vol3. Still enjoying it.

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not. What's the best starting point for reading/watching?
From the beginning, Part 1, chapter 1.
At this point I honestly wouldn't begrudge anyone if they wanted to just watch the first two parts. The art in Phantom Blood especially has ... not aged well. Plus out of the first two parts the only thing that I think was ever left out was a tiny scene in Battle Tendency that was of little importance to the plot.
I'd still say read it if you can, but if you want to just watch, then that's cool. However you want to get your Jojo on.
yeah, i'd recommend starting from the beginning too. though that might be because Jonathan is one of my favorite Jojos.
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.x2 I agree, but this sort of thing peeves me. Would you start a book on the seventh chapter or a movie twenty minutes in? ...I guess some people do that sometimes, or just skip ahead a bit to gauge the general writing quality before going back to the beginning, but I can't. Jojo might be more suited to this due to the separation in its parts, but I think it deserves to be read in its in entirety, honestly, even if it's so damn long.
I'd say watch the anime for the first two arcs, read from then on, and come back to read the first 2 arcs if you want to, after you're caught up.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyThere were a few things left out of the anime. Phantom Blood is condensed into nine episodes, after all. For instance, we never see Jonathan's (first) brief fight with Wang Chung.
Thanks for the advice, everyone. I think is the best, so I'll go with that. But before I start watching, should I watch the subbed or dubbed version?
I'd go subbed, as the dubbed version has a severe lack of existence.
Of course I'm the best.
The sub was also quite good, anyway. And if after watching where they're at in part 3, and reading part 3 (yes, I recommend you do both), if you still can't get enough of that story arc, there's still the OVA.
The sad, REAL American dichotomy
re-reading Part 4 for the heck of it. Koichi's voice in my head somehow defaulted to Cathy Weseluck doing her Spike voice.
