I try to go the long haul when I publish a fan-fiction. If I want to write it enough, I'll write it and I will have it published, regardless of quality.
Such is the case of my current one. I'm not going to win Author Of The Year from anywhere, but the fic's message is important to me, so I'm putting it out there.
Come sail your ships around me, and burn your bridges down.Yes, I do.
I just got into Total drama fandom, so I had wrote a little about them. But they are one shots.
I try, as I'm still a novice. Damnit, I struggle at showing as I cannot tell what it looks like, especially in my writing.Any assistance?
Quite seriously, I write everything off the top of my head. For two of my fics*, I am basically writing somewhat novelization of the game with changed circumstances, so I have to write situations that fans are familiar with, without making them sound boring or plagarized. For my other fics* I have nothing more than a vague idea and a couple of random scenes in my head. So far, they seem to be working out pretty well.
That’s the epitome of privilege right there, not considering armed nazis a threat to your life. - SilaswNovelizations are theoretically easier to write because you already have an outline given by the source material and you have to concern on how your story is going to add or do different than the original. But Writing by the Seat of Your Pants may be consuming in the long run, one hour you'll have to stop to think.
My work is here. Current main fic: Tengen Toppa Gurren Solvernia@Nitro 836: Just write the story at first however is easiest for you. THEN modify it to suit a more general audience. Ask yourself "how does that look/sound/smell/whatever?" and add the answers. If possible, have someone else read the story and ask him what he or she feels needs to be made clear.
I write pony fanfiction, but I guess that isn't appropriate to discuss here since it already has its own thread?
Mache dich, mein Herze, rein...Depends on if you want to discuss the specifics of writing, or the specifics of ponies.
Check out my fanfiction!I understand researching the specifics of ponies is illegal in most states.
I wrote a few, but they're mostly Old Shames, for me, anyway.
Time grows thin, the past's a riddle; The Tower awaits you in the middle.I'm Full-Paragon, and these are the fanfictions I've posted on the Citadel.

So yes, I write fanficiton. I may or may not be addicted to writing fanfiction. I'm starting a support group on Monday...

Ah. I'm getting pretty popular now. My other stories for other fandoms seem more successful than my Soul Eater fanfics. For example, my Chobits crossover Eternal Flowers, which is part of a whole string of fics that are part of a whole. Puella Magi Yuuko Magica is the prequel. And Parallel Souls and Bakamonogatari are all part of the same universe. It's...complicated.
I'm not sure if it's very good... But I made a fanfiction with my best friend about what the next installment of the Persona series should be like: http://tikitanker4.deviantart.com/gallery/ I would appreciate any comments or constructive criticism.
I write Ragnarok Online fanfiction only, I just can never muster up enough courage to write canon characters because I have a feeling I'll never get them right. I tend to stick to MMORPGs in general.
i'm working on my first fic now. a MLP/KH crossover piece.
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.I write one, for Puella Magi Madoka Magica, it's in my sig, and it's absurdly long. Projected estimates for length are three times my initial expectations, and the final wordcount is bound to be even longer.
Whatcha gonna do, little buckaroo? | i be pimpin' madoka ficsI posted a new Mass Effect AU fic yesterday. I didn't think it was all that impressive, but in under 24 hours it's my third most popular fic* and had several reviews saying, "I've never seen this done before."
Apparently, my mind moves in mysterious ways.
That’s the epitome of privilege right there, not considering armed nazis a threat to your life. - SilaswYou know I want to write fanfics but most of them had been done already. Being on TVTropes has also made me aware of certain tropes and patterns that I often find in stories and fanfiction in general. Maybe I should have gone to Spacebattles before I come to this but ironically enough I only knew of Spacebattles after I came to this place. I'll read fanfics but I don't know if I want to make any myself.
"Analay, an original fan character from a 2006 non canon comic. Do not steal!"Well, so far I'm writing Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Reflecting Balance, which is currently at 17 chapters, and I'm currently working on the first draft of chapter 18. I'm also trying to write a Winx Club fanfic, but I've been having some difficulty with the first chapter seeing as I'm here having to write about a canon character and certain canon events that happened off-screen in the original show.

My fanficI posted a few weeks ago (sorry for not thinking of this sub-forum earlier) The Date at the End of It All, a short Nyarko San fic.
I consider it nearer to normal fanfiction than the other two I have posted, mostly because it started not as an idea for a story but a wish to ship the lead couple a little closer. But above all I tried to copy the style of the show in writing and use shout-outs from the works I am familiar with. You may think it is closer to a mass crossover than the flood of quotes and vignettes that is the original.
Have fun picking out all the references.
A blog that gets updated on a geological timescale.I'm writing a pokemon Fan-fic at the moment, mostly centered around Mossdeep City.
I've got plans for a megacrossover, but nothing coherent yet.
Yes, yes I do. Most of them fluffy one-shots, except for Twilight's Final ( http://www.fimfiction.net/story/97122/twilights-final ), my one dark (but not grim) story.
I am currently writing a Crossover Parody Humor Fanfiction Series in which all the Fanfics are connected to one another. They all have an OC named Paul Garner in the Fanfics.
The first one I wrote was "Paul's Apartment" which is about Paul letting Elmo stay in his apartment after Elmo gets fired from Elmo's World and Sesame Street. (I wrote it back in March 2012.) He also has a friend who is a penguin named Henry Penn that was a former SNL Cast Member and a Sith Lord Neighbor named Darth Bost.
The Second One I wrote takes place way after "Paul's Apartment" and is called "The Lame Adventures of Paul". It is about Paul saving his friends from various fandoms like "The Hobbit", "The Simpsons", "Doug", "Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids", "Veggie Tales", and "Garfield", from villians like Darth Bost, The Borgs, The Terminator, Lex Luther, The Care Bear Cousins, The Joker, Barney the Dinosaur, and The Emperor of the Night. Paul is also joined in his quest along with Captain Planet, Andy Taylor, Steve from "Blue's Clues", Sonic the Hedgehog, and Sebastian Star Bear.
The Third Fanfic I wrote was a Arthur Fanfic called "Binky Learns a Lesson" which is a Prequel to "Paul's Apartment". It takes place when Paul lived in Elwood City. It's about Arthur and Buster not wanting to play video games with Binky because they would rather watch "Bionic Bunny" so in Anger Binky writes a Hatefic about "Bionic Bunny" with Arthur and Buster as bad guys to get back at them. In the end after talking to Arthur, Buster, and their friend Paul, Binky realizes that writing Hatefics is wrong and never does it again.
The Four Fanfic I wrote is a "My Immortal" Parody called "He's Secretly a Muggle" which takes place in between Chapters 4 and 5 of "Paul's Apartment". In this Harry Potter Fanfic, Paul goes into what he doesn't realize is a Time Machine at a Harry Potter Convention and accidently goes back in time to 1996 in Hogwarts. He bumps in Ebony Darkness Dementia Raven Way and decides to lie and say that he is a Wizard and a Hogwarts Student and later meets Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Then after a while Paul tries to go back to the Time Machine but a Giant damages it and Dumbledore saves Paul from the Giant and decides to cast a Spell on Paul so that he can temporily use magic while he tries to quickly get the Time Machine fixed. Paul later briefy dates Ebony Way but breaks up with her because she spent too make time putting on her Make-Up.
I'm planning on also making a Powerpuff Girls Fanfic and also a Sonic the Hedgehog Fanfic which will both take place before "Binky Learns a Lesson". They will describe the origins of Paul Garner.
I'm also planning on writing a Sequel to "Binky Learns a Lesson" which will take place in between some future Chapters of "Jonathan's Apartment".
And last but not least I might write an Abridged Fanfic Parody of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door.

There use to be a time where I felt that I can write about anything but nowadays, I can barely put any words down on paper.
"Analay, an original fan character from a 2006 non canon comic. Do not steal!"
I scribble out a paragraph or two out, and then it slowly fades away.
