I'll add more beard in when my drawing of my grandma stops looking like Winston Churchill.

in an unrelated topic, does anyone know what I can do to make my comic better? I'm doing something horribly wrong, but I'm not sure what.[down]

Doing what wrong?

If it doesn't involve Hermione/Ginny I'm not interested.

Well, for one, what's the first "mission" about?

Before the first mission you'll get some in-character exposition and some straight RP time, and than you'll be whisked away to London. Sort of a pre-game lobby, but in-character.

The first mission will a major undertaking by Muggle forces, having been tipped off about the secret platform they'll move on it immediately, but King's Cross will not be entirely evacuated. R&U will spearhead the search, while the Wizarding force (you guys will have the oppurtunity to decide on a name) will be looking to buy time for the Wizarding evacuation.

I'll have the exact parameters good to go in time. I didn't sleep so well, so this may be a tad disjointed.

Oh, and just so it's explicitely stated: All characters are currently approved.

I would, however, like to say that my personal prefernce would be to hold out for a Dark wizard and a commando from a non-english speaking nation (or at least female), but I'll leave the Play/Wait choice up to a majority vote.

I wanted to keep it IC, but I'll give you a rough sketch.

It all starts when a wizard screws up trying to extract a magically inclined child from North Korea. About 5 years before the start of war he gets himself captured. Kim's attempts to weaponize magic all fail, but the CIA, MI 6, FSB, Mossad, and several other Foreign Intelligence groups all find out about it over the next few years. Eventually a raid is mounted and they get their hands on some general secrets about wizarding.

The Wizard responsible for preventing the President of the US from making a revelation is smoked out by the FBI and is caught in the act of attempting a mine wipe. In a trial that may have been of dubious legality he's tried and executed for treason. The American Gov't demands that all magical secrets be revealed, but does so publicly.

Wizarding America, which never declared indepence from the Crown and, while mostly its own entity, still defers to the Ministry, asks for guidance.

Deciding to put the whole thing off as mass hysteria they ask the PM to discredit the President. He does so, but finds himself out of office a week later when a Conservative MP dissemenates info given to him by the various intelligence agencies and pushes through a vote of no confidence. Before he can take office he is publicly assasinated by a small group of radical wizards, most of whom had ties to the Neo-Deatheaters.

With the US's claims publicly confirmed most every state jumps on board with the notable exceptions of Romania, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Switzerland.

Romania has had a veritable Iron Curtain drawn around itself, and it's suspected that Wizards have taken over and will soon declare this openly. Iran and Saudi Arbia are both attempting to root out as many Wizards to execute for the mere fact they're wizards. Switzerland, well, it's Switzerland, it wouldn't be much of a global conflict if they weren't neutral, neh? (The DPRK was occupied by the ROK in 2018 and is being re-integrated, but except for the northern most and southern most zones, under Chinese and American jurisdicition respectively, the area is mostly lawless.)

Riots by muggles and fearful lashings out by wizards have caused martial law to be declared in many areas. Civilian militias traded fire first in the US, but most of the Wizards lacked documentation and were considered foreign nationals, making it an act of war.

This is very America centric, but like I said, this is a Tom Clancy - Harry Potter crossover more than anything.

You need to make it mandatory that one of the British guys at R&N have a handlebar mustache. So how many people do we have?

No, because the only person badass enough to pull that off in a modern setting is Captain Price. I don't think we have anyone that badass.

I'm actually planning on having some cameos. I'm open to suggestions for who people want to see.

I'll be off for a few hours, but I expect we'll start within the week. I just had my life considerably simplified by a certain acceptance letter, so things are looking good.

I think 3 on 3 is enough for starting at least. We have no idea when any new players might show up, but certainly there will be ways to get more characters in after it's started right?

Also, interesting time-line, I must say. evil grin

For Muggles it's pretty simple: OI! THIS SCRUB'S YOUR NEW TEAMMEATE. GET USED TO IT.

Wizards won't have the same command structure.

  1. Name: Jakob Elsritter
  2. Nationality: German
  3. Gender: Male
  4. Appearance: A blond kid with blue eyes that have a dull look to them, and which make him always look really freaking scary. His mouth is always curved a little in a smile, this is Technically a Smile, and even when he is acting like he is frothing with rage at someone stealing his kill, he always has that bemused little smirk. He is a big guy, muscles over muscles, and looks like a typical Nazi thug. He wears a military grade jacket, a black underarmor shirt underneath. His stride is constantly confidant and makes him really popular at school.
  5. Backstory: He was implied to have been born the way he is, a person with a Lack of Empathy. He experimented from the time he was a young boy with the fact he was strong. He liked hurting things, hurting people, just to see if their pain could get a reaction out of him, and when he beat someone up, he always let them get in the first hit, just to test and see if he gets an emotional response. He has never done so before. In his teenage years, he joined the conflict by flipping a coin, heads said he goes on with his life and ignores it, and tails said he fights for the normal humans. He promptly declared himself The Chosen One, the representative of normal humans...let that sink in. He does not believe it himself. He thinks he is a Complete Monster and that nobody normal can empathize with him. Thus, he is seeking out wizards and seeing if there are any wizards as depraved as he is.
  6. Attire: 1x 9x19mm Grandpower K100, 1x Taurus Millennium series PT 145 pistol, a Katana blade, mostly for when he wants to fight up close or when he wants to torture someone, and one FAMAS Assault Rifle slung across his back.

Sawed off handguns? Is he planning on hitting anything more than ten feet away with those?

Also could you elaborate on "military grade rifles"? That could mean a lot of different things and a vague amount of weaponry for just one guy to be carrying...
