So my brother sent me a thing about a Mega Man fangame.
Specifically, this one.
I watched a blind playthrough of it.
And there's some cool analysis thingies.
So yeah. I think it's a pretty well-designed fangame.
With pastel-colored miniature horses.

The minute I saw pony my brain was like NOPE.
I was really hoping that had died out by now.
We need a Megaman's bizarre adventure where the robot masters are Jojo villains.
That would be awesome. As would a Megaman/Sonic crossover game.

I can't say I'm a fan of ponies either, but there's some genuinely cool stuff in there. It's genuinely one of the best fangames I've seen in ever, and one of the better Classic-Style Mega Man games.
I'd put Mega Pony ahead of Mega Man X Street Fighter and Mega Man 10 pretty easily.
And the crossover elements work. They're integrated very damned well. Make some unique enemies and boss designs. Level design.
...I'm having trouble figuring out how to get a Mega Man and Sonic crossover to even work. The gameplay styles are really different.
Keep an open mind and stuff.
I mean, I can't say I like ponies more now than I did before. Still don't really consider myself a "fan".
But still. Cool thing.

I am of the belief that cool things should be appreciated whatever form they take. And Mega Pony is kind of a cool thing in my opinion.
I mean, it has more care put into it than Capcom's put into this series in a little while.
Trailer. Has a link to download in the description.
I admittedly haven't played very much of it, but what I have played was fun. And watching other people play showed me some cool things.
I really can't see how one of the slowest platformers and one of the fastest platformers would work together.
Mario and Sonic has a better chance of working together. Or even Rayman and Sonic.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page. The more I think about the fan film the more problems I have with it, especially the Dull Surprise acting. Good acting can save even the cheesiest of scenarios.
The Protomen enhanced my life.I'm not a pony guy but my brother is and he is appreciating the video.
Forever liveblogging the Avengers(x4)
Let me introduce you to Super Mario Crossover. No, Sonic isn't in it, but it's a good display of how differing gameplay styles can still fit the same setting.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).No offense, but was it needed to put it in a link like that? You could just directly link, or maybe use LMGTFY, if that's your thing, but I'm not here to judge.
Not to derail (or cause a ruckus), but for those who've been following the team (or supported the Kickstarter thingy), how do you think of the not-exactly-recent news of SAS being on hiatus?
Let it be known that I would totally judge for using LMGTFY.
@FOFD: That's because Mario occupies a versatile middle ground that can accomodate many styles of platforming.
Sonic and Mega Man occupy the opposite extremes, so it wouldn't work.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Ow, that thing in my chest.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersWouldn't he be saying "Good Morning" to Patch instead?
But damn, the feels man... Who Wants to Live Forever? indeed.

...ehehThis might be just when Lan dies.
And even if that is the case, this is Game Megaman Exe, is as we know, is Lan's brother.
Patch is kinda his nephew, and he'll take care of the kid to the end, but losing a brother is still a punch to the gut for an immortal being like Megaman
One Strip! One Strip!Eventually, perhaps. But it doesn't change that Mega Man outlived his brother. Presumably by the largest of margins. Let 'im grieve, man.

I think it would have more of an impact if in the end he had said "Good night, brother". Still, ow.
At least Megaman will have Roll with him.
Aside from the depressing ending, I do like the fact that they made Old!Lan look like Dr. Light/his grandfather.
Hub.bat could always ask to be formatted when Lan dies or something.
I mean, he's got to be horribly obsolete by this point. He might consider it a mercy.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI actually kind of thought about the fate of most of the Net Navis between Battle Network and Star Force. I mean I know they still exist by Star Force 1 at least, but you have to wonder what happened to Mega Man.EXE and the rest.
Stella ~Part 3 (Atelier Shallie)Megaman Exe still exists in the Megaman Star Force series.
He makes a brief cameo in the first game
One Strip! One Strip!
So do you think that any Mega Man series that has not been properly resolved or transitioned off of has been Cut Short?
EDIT: Actually, the latter two seem more like examples of Left Hanging than just plain Cut Short; at least in the X series, the initial plotline's been Wrapped Up (albeit with said potential Sequel Hook)...
