Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.

First day of work went pretty well. It seems the spreadsheets I have set up to do the bookkeeping will do the trick well, at least until we can get Quickbooks or something to make it even easier.

Mother's birthday is pretty much over now. Many amusing moments with family members were had, since they've always got stories to tell. One that sticks out in my mind is my cousin talking about her new boyfriend and his habit of angsting with her as the audience. Her first thought when he started navel-gazing was "Dammit, not one of these types again."
Hm. I feel like I may chop down my avatar line-up to 4 or 5.
Or extend the non-vandalism section so that the ones I have now can all fit.
