Sword and Claws is a puzzle platformer browser game published in 2019 and developed by Colonel Lazuli. The game takes place in the universe of naturist anthropomorphic animals. The game is a part of franchise of the same name that also includes a spin-off browser game Stone Idol and a spin-off webcomic Swords and Claws - Scars.

The game begins with a young adventurer Nicholas returning from his everyday training and finding out that his family and all other villagers are gone then he starts the searching...

While being technically simple, this game is among very few games depicting casual-nudity. The game was created when its creator, Colonel Lazuli, couldn't find a naturist game and decided to make his own.

The gameplay consists of primarily platforming segments with some casual fighting elements and simple puzzles.

The game can be played here.

Swords and Claws has examples of the following tropes:

  • Artificial Stupidity: Enemies can be lured into bottomless pits where they will die. If enemies are walking towards the character and are quite far away, they can be spammed with attacks and they can be killed without them even fighting back.
  • Big Fancy Castle: Three final levels take place in the three floors of the castle Mordhul Holt, which has a pretty complicated internal structure.
  • Bizarrchitecture: Some locations, especially three final levels that take place in the three floors of the castle Mordhul Holt are plain ridiculous with bottomless pits in pretty random locations.
  • Black-and-White Morality: Nicholas, Felicia and Doramun are good guys that want to release kidnapped villagers vs. Arzumak who kidnapped those villagers and his minions who executed his orders.
  • Bottomless Pits: There are quite a bit of them. They do have bottom, but character and enemies are instantly killed after touching the bottom of a pit.
  • Character-Magnetic Team: The game begins with one single hero Nicholas but later two more heroes Felicia and Doramun join the team.
  • Collision Damage: There are spikes tiles in all levels that do damage on contact to the character but not to the enemies.
  • Damage-Sponge Boss: Arzumak, the final and the only boss in the game has pretty much health and his attacks are powerful completely unblockable and not so easy to evade.
  • Fighter, Mage, Thief: Nicholas is medium-stat fighter, Doramun is powerful and slow mage and Felicia is fast and weak "thief".
  • Fragile Speedster: Felicia is the fastest and has the highest jumps of all heroes but has the weakest attacks. Enemy white panthers can be taken out pretty quickly but they are the fastest type of enemies.
  • Full-Frontal Assault: All characters in the game fight in the buff.
  • Glacier Waif: Doramun looks just as heavy as Nicholas does, but he is slower and has more powerful attacks.
  • Heroes Prefer Swords: Nicholas uses a sword.
  • Interface Spoiler: The main menu shows all three heroes even before the start of the game, although the player has to complete some levels in order to unlock Felicia and Doramun
  • Jackof All Stats: Nicholas has all-medium stats.
  • Life Meter: There is a red line in left top corner of the screen that serves as character's health.
  • Male Frontal Nudity: Both male and female human-like genitals of anthropomorphic animals are always fully visible because all in-game characters, both allies and enemies are always nude but there is no sexual content in the game and nobody comments or reacts to it.
  • Male Might, Female Finesse: Slow and powerful male Doramun and fast and weak female Felicia. Also big, slow and powerful male bulls and weak female squirrels with weak and fast female white panthers.
  • Mechanically Unusual Fighter: Doramun is the only character that utilizes energy and is the only that can block bulls' attacks.
  • Medieval European Fantasy: The Lands of Aniethia, the kingdom where the game takes place is a typical fantasy kingdom, but with anthropomorphic animals instead of humans and with no nudity taboo. Characters use blades and magic.
  • Mixed Animal Species Team: The heroes in game are all diffent anthropomorphic animals. Nicholas is cat-like, Felicia is rabbit like and Doramun is wolf-like.
  • National Geographic Nudity: The Lands of Aniethia, the kingdom where the game takes place has no nudity taboo. All in-game characters, both allies and enemies are always nude, wearing only equipment belts, but there is no sexual content in the game.
  • No "Arc" in "Archery": Squirrel-archers' arrows fly without fall off.
  • Not Distracted by the Sexy: All in-game characters, both allies and enemies are always nude, wearing only equipment belts, and nobody ever comments or reacts to it but there is no sexual content in the game.
  • Our Minotaurs Are Different: There are minotaur-like enemy bulls in the game. They are depicted as bigger than other characters, slower than other characters, both in attacking and in movement, they also wield two handed double edged battle axes.
  • Rush Boss: Arzumak, the final and the only boss can be taken out pretty quickly, but he can do the same with the character even faster.
  • Sibling Rivalry: Arzumak, the final boss imprisons, among other, his own younger brother Karagor.
  • Swap Fighter: After freeing Felicia player can swap between her and Nicholas at will. After freeing Doramun player can swap between all three heroes at will.
  • The Ghost: Karagor, brother of the final boss Arzumak is only mentioned but never makes it to the screen. The villagers are mentioned, but they never make it to the screen too.
  • The Hero: Nicholas trains with his sword to become a great adventurer in the exposition and saves the kingdom at the end.
  • The Red Mage: Doramun is modified version of this trope. He has the best defense and the best attack, but energy meter needs to be full for him to use his attacks.
  • Wall Jump: It is sometimes possible to perform a wall jump but it is likely to be a glitch.
  • Youngest Child Wins: After Arzumak, the final boss is defeated and his younger brother Karagor is freed this brother takes the throne.
