In Master of Orion 2, just beat the Guardian with a single ship armed with only laser cannons.
I theorized some time ago that this might be possible. The Guardian's class V shield + hard shields blocks a total of 8 damage, and laser cannons have only 4 base damage. However, by making the laser cannons heavy mount (+50% up to 6 damage) and equipping the ship with high energy focus (+50% up to 9 damage), you get an edge of 1 damage over the Guardian's shields. This in turn should be tripled by autofire and doubled again by structural analyzer.
As it turned out, this didn't work. The ship still did no damage to the Guardian, and I still don't understand why. However, after I put a +25 ordnance leader on the ship, the lasers became powerful enough to damage the Guardian, and with 197 of them brought to bear, I destroyed it in two combat turns.
Join my forum game!In my newest playthrough of Digimon World that I just started today, I cleared about 40% of the game just on my first Champion. And then on my second 'mon (WHICH I SOMEHOW LUCKED INTO GETTING METALGREYMON), I've cleared the next 50%.
And now the majority of what's left is dependent on getting specific kinds of mons (a Vaccine-type mon, a mon that can't stand cold, need Numemon before I can tackle anything in Toy Town...)

How big was the class of ship you used to achieve this? This sounds crazy, but I didn't think a spam of "small enough" lasers was gonna cut it for anything, ever. This is so cool!
Would that sort of thing ever work on Antares, though?

My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!Hard to say whether it could be achieved with any smaller ship. My doom star finished off the Guardian quickly, but it wasn't very well protected and would have died in a few turns if the Guardian hadn't died first. To do it with a titan, you'd probably need much better protection to keep the ship alive, but that leaves less room for the lasers, raising the question of whether you can damage the Guardian faster than it heals. Alternatively, time warp facilitator + phasing cloak might be more space-efficient than protective equipment, although it only gives you 4 or 5 turns of firing before the Guardian gets to shoot back. I could give it a try.
EDIT: Did it with a titan, using TWF+PC. But only with ship initiative turned off; turning ship initiative on seems to screw with the TWF+PC combo somehow.

Join my forum game! The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth - cleared Greed Mode with Azazel, thus unlocking Lilith. Hooray for Sad Brimstone bombs!
Don't stop, just proceed, 'cause this is what you need-proceed, just proceed, 'cause this is what you need! The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth: beat Hush with Samson (as well as somehow beating that boss on my first try).
Somehow you know that the time is right.Just finished Nosferatu The Wrath of Malachi, on (I think) easy difficulty.
Despite the constant creepiness and jump scares (the game is 100% pure, refined gothic horror), it wasn't actually all that hard. I screwed up in the middle of the east wing and had to waste time going through the same area twice, but in the end I still managed to rescue 13 out of 15 relatives with almost ten minutes left on the clock. The final bosses were easy, I beat the count without taking any damage and then killed Malachi very quickly with holy water (and then, because that felt a bit cheap, I reloaded and did it with the machine gun too).
Join my forum game!Beat Hazard Ultra - unlocked all perks. Also got to Shadow Elite.
Life is Strange - got about halfway through Episode 4 and finished my ventures in the alternate universe, ultimately choosing to euthanize AU Chloe.
The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth - Unlocked the Keeper, and managed to clear Greed Mode with all characters including said Keeper.

Don't stop, just proceed, 'cause this is what you need-proceed, just proceed, 'cause this is what you need!Just finished Total Annihilation Kingdoms The Iron Plague.
In gameplay terms, I'd say Iron Plague was better on average than Book of Darien. Many of the levels were way easy, but it had some genuinely challenging levels as well. I didn't even beat the two Creon defense levels near the end 'legitimately' (they just seem way too hard), instead I did them by walling myself off completely and taking advantage of the AI's inability to understand walls. Aside from those, the most difficult level was probably the final one. The enemy defenses are ridiculously powerful, but fortunately the victory condition only requires you to kill the sage, so I ended up just massing a giant swarm of sky knights and then flying them right past all the defenses; a good 20 - 30 of them reached the sage and killed him almost instantly.
Join my forum game!Beat Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon, including the epilogue. As always, I fully evolved my starter and partner (Bulbasaur and Totodile, respectively). Too bad they didn't get the same stat boost as their Harmony evolutions.
Welp, gotta recruit 'em all.
"Rarity, are you okay? We gotta get you and your friends outta here soon!"I beat Tiresias in Elemental Story in two turns, thanks to using Helios with its double hit skill instead of Amaterasu's healing. However, the score records suggests that there a lot of players who one-shot the boss.
Completed all Steam Achievements in Risky's Revenge.
My fingers now ache after doing a speed run on a keyboard.
Puzzle And Dragons: Got Medjedra by beating the dungeon twice on Legendary. GZL team (my GZL is +297 and max level but unskilled), friend Awoken Bastet (+297) the first time, and after several frustrating failures (being only 80% skill-bind resistant sucks when you need to resist it twice, including on the first floor) I did it again with +276 GZL friend.
If I can beat Sphinx when he descends this week, I can finally get Awoken Bastet. Okay so I can't actually awaken her yet due to needing to evo the materials, and also I lack jewels, but I can buy those and in any case, I'm still plus-egging both her and Vishnu. Kinda regretting prioritising Vishnu since I wasn't expecting to be able to beat Medjedra yet, but then there's no guarantee I can beat Sphinx anyway.
Hopefully by the time of the next 3x Normals plus egg drops, I'll be in a position to power grind (using a stone or two, if I have to) Vishnu to +297 and switch to Bastet.
Skilling up those two however, will be living Hell.
To blow off some steam, I started doing the campaign of Supreme Commander on Hard. First UEF mission wasn't harder than usual, fifty tactical bombers to the Cybran commander's face and he was a goner.
The second mission, though... good God. The objective, for those not playing Sup Com, is to kill an extremely heavily fortified base. On easy, it's tough but doable, due to the fact that the base has minimal defenses at the rear and blowing the generators there causes the base's Deflector Shields to flicker from the lack of juice. On Hard however, the whole base perimeter is ringed with heavy defenses that can two-shot anything you throw at it AND they rebuild everything between attacks AND you have neither the resources nor pop cap to kill the base in one go. After an our and a half of having massed gunship raids repelled over and over again, I had enough and sicced 144 bombers at their commander, bonus objective of whacking their factories be damned. Still almost failed to kill her, even with that many.
I earned all 48 medals from Batman: Arkham Asylum's Challenge Mode. Now all I need to do is beat Hard Mode for the plat.
Pokémon Picross:
Completed two mythical Pokémon puzzles without any support Pokémon. They were Manaphy and Celeby.
Not too sure about the spoiler tag there, but it might be a bit big of a hint for the puzzles, so I'm just doing that to be safe.
Fallout New Vegas: Dead Money:
- Cleaned out the Sierra Madre vault and escaped with all 37 gold bars.
- Broke the bank at the casino...with a Luck stat of 2. So much Save Scumming...
Cleared Ace Combat Zero for the first time.
...also on on the verge of clearing Disgaea 2 for the first time, come to think of it.
Won a battle arena match in Elemental Story via triggering death revival twice on the last surviving monster and then turn the tables with an attack all monsters skill.

I just earned the Batman: Arkham Asylum platinum.
- Cleared Keiji Maeda's story, and unlocked Okuni.
- After far, far too much effort and general oh my god WHY, finally managed to clear Date Masamune's story (wound up being the lower path final mission, "Odawara Campaign", and let's face it, I despise castle infiltration missions...)
Only characters I haven't cleared at least one ending for yet (that I actually have unlocked) are Noh, Kunoichi, and now Okuni. ...still haven't unlocked Oda Nobunaga or Goemon Ishikawa, though.
(About a week or so ago)Pokemon Insurgence:
- Got done with the current storyline up to this point.
I defeated the Demi-Fiend.
You gotta start somewhere.Got 100% in Batman Arkham Knight on PS 4.
Addendum to : And now I have both of the aforementioned costumes for Shamal.
