@Clarste: Saying that the success of Bakemonogatari disproves the importance of Moe is a bit misguided as Bakemonogatari has plenty of Moe.

Lol but seriously despite what I just said I'm probably going to watch the second season of K-On! anyway. It's very much a Guilty Pleasure for me, since despite all my complaining about moe, I love that crap - and I'm a huge music geek.

Haha, Bakemonogatari has beaten K-On in first week DVD + Bluray sales... immediately after K-On broke the record for its timeslot by a significant margin. The market has spoken!
...Sorry for being a bit too happy about this. At least it proves that the traditional two pillars of Moe and Mecha aren't everything.
