Ooh! Ooh! I want to be one of those Vote for the Worst people!
May I be a judge?
Sure! Credentials? (JK, you may get the job, of course, but make some things up for fun! =D)
Any ideas for the position of judge, by the way? I know for certain that judges can be creative with their criticisms (since no one will actually be "singing"), but that's as much as I have down so far.
Also, added note: hosts can be different every round, so mulitple people can be hosts if they want to. Probably ten hosts will be good.

Credentials? How about a singer turned judge for a different talent show turned celebrity television judge (like Judge Judy or something)? That pretty much covers all bases!

Midnight Velvet—Ok, works with me!
Cliche—I don't remember having elimination voters. Could you explain that to me please? (Although I like to sing, I don't really watch American Idol, so that's why I'm asking for advice.) Thanks for any comments!

Oh, that's just a site encouraging people to vote for the most So Bad It's Good contestant. Here, it will simply be a "Public" role.
Can I be a judge, too? I'm a big fan of Judge Dredd so my experience can be quite useful, I believe.
Cliche—Okay, thank you. That makes sense now.
Sean Murray I- Sure, if you want. Credentials? (just for fun—make them up...or was the Judge Dredd experience your credential?)
Any comments on the whole system? There are still a few loose ends that people might be wondering about.
Another thing: How many forum pages of Troperville Idol should there be? I don't really like the idea of making so many pages (voting page, results page, judging page, etc.) that they flood the games topics! I was thinking maybe have one page solely for the main game "story" (as though you were watching it on TV-results would be here), another for the voting, possibly a competitor profile/status page, and that would be all.

I indeed want my hours of trained experience reading Judge Dredd to be my credentials, thank you.

Okay, then, that works with me!

Can I be the third judge? I was in choir class in middle school.
Full picture here.◊ Drawn by Saemus!I'll be a participant. I can sing well IRL.
gentlemanorcus—All right, you may! Verification—choir class is your credential?
I Love Dogs—Just out of curiosity-would you be using your avatar or would you prefer to make a character up that you would role-play? I'm still in the process of contestant development.
Also, how about prizes? Or should the winner just receive the honor of being Troperville Idol?

Sure, whatever.

TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerWe already have three judges.
Full picture here.◊ Drawn by Saemus!"Three or four judges are preferable"
Oh. I'm sorry.
Full picture here.◊ Drawn by Saemus! That's all right, gentlemanorcus.
As of now, here are our judges:
Midnight Velvet (the singer-turned-celebrity-judge)
Sean Murray I (experienced in Judge Dredd)
gentlemanorcus (the choir member)
Bisected 8, you are a potential judge. If you don't mind, could you state your "credentials"? (make them up—just for fun!)
It wouldn't be bad to have two British judges. If fact, it would be funny to see them battle their opinions out (strictly game-wise, of course).

I want to be the other Mean Brit! And my credentials trump yours, Sean!
Kidding.
Full picture here.◊ Drawn by Saemus!- I am British.
- I often steal my flatmate's food.
- When I use voice chat in online games I am immediatly identified as British (...usually).
- I can bake. However, I often burn gingerbread.
- I can scientfically prove that being able to bake makes me an excellent judge.
- Fool!
- Seven is a lucky number.
- This is the eight point on my list, I feel that speaks for itself.
- Everyone's like the rest — that's what makes them 'the rest. I am not like the rest.
- All well rounded lists need at least 15 points on them.
- I cannot be shaken, no matter how bad the singing or song.
- I am 10 times more British than the next leading European.
- I own an umbrella.
- I drink tea...when I've ran out of coffee.
- See 10.
- I also like bangers and mash.
- I know why they're called "bangers".

TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerWow, a lot of competition for the Mean Brit. But Bisected 8, I think you just stated your credentials as the Mean Brit anyway.

I submit. I'll be Randy, AKA the guy who's still a little bit snarky but not as much as the Mean Brit.

9/15 Update:
If you want to sign up or learn more details about Troperville Idol, go to the RPG Signups ("Troperville Idol Signups". This is for a planning committee—I don't watch much TV television competitions, but I like music. Any input would be great!
