If Oscar Wilde had lived in our time, he would be a /b/tard.

Actually, scratch that. He does, and goes by Jethro Q Walrustitty.

I love that the Katawa Shoujo Shimmie has a "Slander" tag.

My parents ask if I realize how profound the video I made about the war veteran is.

I say no, I don't see how an AMV about a character(s) from a cartoon about cutesy animals being maimed could be profound. My parents are weird.

For anyone who is curious, this is the video

The code for the Web site I'm trying to design isn't agreeing with me and I really don't want to be doing this right now, but I'll probably get chewed out if I don't.

Well...The school I was dreaming of just posted the list of people who could try their luck at the entrance exam...

24 people. What's the point of making an entrance exam if you already reduce the list of candidates like this?!

I was confident in my chances to pass the exam. I'm pretty good in French and English, having much more vocabulary than most people I know in either language - well, except for native English speakers - and my computer skills might be a bit rusty but certainly good enough to handle the role of Webmaster...

Except I won't even be able to give it a try. Seriously, only 24 candidates selected! Over a thousands candidatures! For a goddamn exam that's supposed to reduce the numbers to about fifteen people!

Fuck it.

EDIT: About half an hour later, I'm fine. The benefits of having a mental whirlwind for a brain.

Pop songs tend to be overused to the point that they are used with no regard for its content. To the point where romantic dances play songs with lyrics like "WE ARE NEVER NEVER NEVER GETTING BACK TOGETHER! WE ARE NEVER NEVER NEVER GETTING BACK TOGETHER!"

That's a common effect with modern songs, I've found. Set something to a peppy beat, and it doesn't matter what the lyrics are, people will dance to it. Even if it's about murdering people.

This really reminds me of an issue I have with a lot of music now. There have been far too many songs where I enjoy the beat or the tune, but simply can't stand the lyrics.

I think I lost interest in dollmakers. They used to be a guilty pleasure and something I'd play around with when I was bored. I had folders saved with my characters and everything. Now the idea of doing it just bores me.

Is there a way to say "I detest calling most companies for customer support because I have extreme difficulty understanding the customer service representatives due to the fact that they have accents I'm not familiar with" without sounding like a racist? Or rather, without sounding like I hate people who don't speak "AMURICAN"?

There's a reason I don't tend to watch gaming shows or gaming videos.

...I hate that I can't afford those games that I want.

This last E3 alone makes me want Super Mario 3D World, Bayonetta 2, the new Halo, Grand Theft Auto 5, and Destiny and Kingdom Hearts 3.

Even though I hadn't planned on getting a PS 4 and I haven't played Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2.

Is anyone here any good at Web design, specifically HTML and CSS? Do we have a thread for this? I'm having a bit of trouble getting the Web design I'm doing for the family business to play nice and I don't want to make an account on some web designer forum just to ask one question.

The big silver/gold rollovers at the top are supposed to be links. The rollovers work, but they're not linked, even though the HTML code for the links is in place and I've (as far as I can tell) written everything correctly. It's probably something really obvious and stupid, because it usually is. Here's the stylesheet.

Okay, looks like your hover stuff is fine. You don't seem to have anything for an on mouse click event, though, so that might be your issue. It's doing all the hover stuff fine, but it doesn't have anything it can do when you click on the lettering. At least, as far as I can tell.
