Just binged both "seasons" of Rosario + Vampire (manga). Overall, it felt a little rushed and rough around the edges in the way the plot and tonal shift were executed (although part of it was probably due to reading it all in one sitting), and it was a little generic both as a harem romcom and as a battle shonen, but I can't find too much to complain about. Thought it was a great read.

Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation.I have two episodes of Scum's Wish left to watch.
Did anyone catch this Pluto announcement? Slipped my radar.
"Curry killed the pussy hoping that I could kill the hate in you" - Curry, D. "TABOO | TA13OO." TA13OO, PH, 2018Romance of the Three Kingdoms had been adapted many times and is a super influential work. I'm looking for a way to experience the story. What are some good adaptations? What are ones to stay away from? Oh, and I'm not going to play Dynasty Warriors. It's just not my style.
Dynasty Warriors 7 tells the general story the best IMO and only DW 7 out of the DW games. Dynasty Tactics is a good overview.
As for other media adaptions umm really unsure, the 2009 Rot K anime maybe?

Nothing beats the original, but the original Chinese version is hard to read for me, so get a reliable English translation (Moss Roberts' is good, but C H Brewitt-Taylor's is in the public domain).
To the best of my knowledge, the most faithful manga / anime adaptation of Romance of the Three Kingdoms is the manga Sangokushi by Mitsuteru Yokoyama, which is based on a Japanese retelling by Eiji Yoshikawa (very famous historical novelist). Our site only talks about its anime adaptation, though, and apparently the anime was bad. Doesn't help that the manga was published back in the 70's, so the art might look a little dated.

Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation.I saw something indicating that it would be the case a while back but it didn't say anything about the studio or Urasawa being involved. Knowing it's MAPPA makes me excited, but the thing is I don't know about it being only 8 episodes. I mean if each episode was like an hour long then that would be about perfect I think but we don't know right now either way.

MAPPA is seal of quality, yes. 8 episodes is worrying on paper, but what makes me confident is that it's getting two years to bake in the oven. One hour episodes would be nice, though.
Even if they fuck up 90 percent of the story, as long as they get that story's bellowing, bombastic, and perfect final act right, it would be worth it.
Man, it's cool that anime studios are digging back and giving long-done manga an adaptation. If Teppu doesn't get this treatment in like six years or so....Well, I wouldn't be surprised, but there would be no justice on this earth.
Unrelated: Kine-San no 1-iri de Cinema a bunch of short stories about an office-lady who's a closet hardcore film buff, and her day-to-day experience dealing with "normies", and it's fantastic. Only nine chapters have been translated but they're all a blast. You get stories like the Star Wars chapter, which is just her desperately avoiding spoilers for the Force Awakens, and you also get the Ghibly chapter, where her office acquaintences are bugging her to see at least one Ghibli film, because she hasn't seen them yet. It hits close to home for anyone who's felt passionate about fiction, which I presume is most people on this forum.

"Curry killed the pussy hoping that I could kill the hate in you" - Curry, D. "TABOO | TA13OO." TA13OO, PH, 2018Second binge in 2 days: Assassination Classroom (manga). The premise originally put me off because it was so bizarre, but I didn't find the juxtaposition of the Slice of Life parts and the action / darker bits all that jarring. (Those kids are disturbingly blasΓ© about the whole assassination / end-of-the-world scenario, though.) Also, I guess I don't feel the pacing issues readers complained about if I'm reading the series from start to finish at one go.
That last roll call was heartbreaking.
...Also, the problem with reading Assassination Classroom and watching Nichijou at the same time is that I'm starting to suspect that Nagisa is really an alternate-universe Mio.

Ah, the napping princess made it in.
Secret SignatureHuh, quite a few names I recognize surprisingly.
"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobI mean, you are more likely to hear about series that are popular, so it makes sense.
Can't say any of those sound familiar.
Kaguya won, praise to our pair of baka geniuses!
Also glad to see Ane Naru Mono ranking so highly, it's unusual for an NSFW doujin series to be made into a full-fledged manga and have the author still publish continuation to said NSFW doujins in separate events.
Also I need to get around to read Juliet.
Randomly decided to check out the latest scanlated chapter of Golden Kamuy.
wtf why is that guy raping a bear
...I think I should have started with another chapter.
Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation.Well this is different.
Japanese Publisher Plans 'World's 1st Christian Light Novel'
If you want to get into ROTK and don't want to just read the novel (or play Dynasty Warriors), the 2010 Chinese live-action series has a pretty solid rep. I think it's available subbed on You Tube.
What's precedent ever done for us?I've never been less hopeful, and more excited.
"Curry killed the pussy hoping that I could kill the hate in you" - Curry, D. "TABOO | TA13OO." TA13OO, PH, 2018I don't know, nothing really beats the classic LN, "Trapped in a dream world, I must now hitchhike to Heaven?!"
Latest binge: Last Game. I'm a sucker for romance, but I swear, the romance is as fluffy as the main couple are dense. Also, contrary to my expectations, there was surprisingly little family-related drama throughout the manga, and even the character whom you'd expect to be the stereotypical hyper-successful, cold, calculating businessman of a father who's always away actually turns out to be pretty considerate and nice.

Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation.Christianity isn't strong in Japan, so I predict it will be a hit there. In America, it will cause even more controversies.
For US tropers, have you seen In This Corner Of The World?
It's based off Fumiyo Kouno's work and it's fantastic. Woman's story during WWII leading up and after Hiroshima
It's currently in theaters and if you have a good opportunity, you should definitely go see it
I thought a certain other Napping Princess was getting an anime for a sec.
