M Night Shyamalan pulled a Race Lift for The Last Airbender so the fact that Guillermo's Mexican really shouldn't mean anything.

But yeah, I wonder if this would help the anime in any way over here. Viz apparently only released one set before stopping completely.

Apparently? They DID. The whole dub ran on Sy Fy though and was legally streaming for a while, but not now. :(

Like I've been saying, chances are they're just being lazy (like Steven Foster directing a non-comedy anime dub most of the time).

Apparently there's a group in Russia that's trying to appeal for a ban on Death Note... because it's one of the works people are linking to a recent wave of teenage suicides among other anime.

Okay, I get the logic behind why some people say video games should be censored^note I obviously don't agree with it though., but this just sounds ridiculous.

In other news, there's a third Bamboo Blade manga starting next month.^note Bamboo Blade B, Bamboo Blade C, can't they come up with more creative titles?

So that commercial really was for a TV series and not just some random commercial that just happened to get a TV series because of the overwhelming buzz.

I'm also surprised that they aren't going to label this as a Animation Do title rather than Kyoto Animation.

I think so.

Although I do tend to give some fujoshi-bait titles a shot, this is definitely not one of them as the girls of tumblr got really obnoxious when the commercial came out.

It was supposed to air this summer, but got delayed. The current air date is "probably not 2014."
