There wasn't so much a "Quest Bed argument" as a few arguments involving Quest Beds, and a number of subarguments to the first one. The last time it cropped up wasn't even an argument, just a minor discussion about what exactly was up with Aradia's godtiering, for the purposes of ascertaining exactly what she implied about the possibility of limitations on Quest Crypts. This kinda petered into "She's s0rt 0f a special case, but probably demonstrates Quest Crypts can be used with two extant selves, I don't know, did anybody even imagine otherwise even if we can't necessarily rule it out?"

And before that was a discussion whether or not dreamselves are necessary to godtier on a Quest Bed, (ruling: yes, explicit confirmation was found), followed by me going "oh hey actually I can win the 50% statement argument we already dropped" in a tongue-in-cheek manner.

Before that was a listing of silly but not actually impossible potential manners for the nongodtiered players to godtier, followed by a discussion of whether a player who wouldn't use their Quest Crypt not having a Quest Crypt would constitute unfairness by the game's rules, that kinda fell apart because Imp and I were misunderstanding what Red meant.

There were plenty of other discussions in between and to some extent during these exchanges, and they weren't really very contentious arguments, by and large.

Now, before that was the extended discussion about whether someone godtiering through (fully?) realizing themselves without dying on a Quest Bed or Quest Crypt was possible, with a long and silly tangent about whether it would be contradictory to Scratch's suggestion that Rose had a 50% chance of godtiering, that almost kinda subsumed the actual argument, but didn't, which deserves to be called The Quest Bed Argument, but really everything I listed above this wasn't the same thing.

And barring that one spot where misinterpretation and accidental rudeness transpired, it never really got ugly, so, yeah, that's probably why we were all still arguing; arguing can be pleasant, informative, fun in and of itself, can remind us of things we forgot and help us realize when we're wrong, and is also one of the few ways we can actually be on-topic anymore.

Also, I'll graciously accept this monarchy, that I wasn't actually given. I promise to reign with honor and insanity. ...Integrity. I'll just add this onto my list of titles acquired from Blognomic; Speaker of the House, Baron of Greystoke, Baron of Tattershall, Baron Lisle, Earl of Essex, Earl of Northumbria, Duke of Exeter, Duke of Sussex, King of England, Potentate of Known Space.

Idk, I thought Scott pilgrim movie was a decent adaptation, even if I didn't agree with all the changes.

I'm going to take this opportunity to point out that Hussie made a sneaky reference to a very obscure religious movement called the Abecedarians during the whole trickster mode section the Alpha kids went through. Which is both RIDICULOUSLY FUCKING OBSCURE, and very well placed given that this was cherub induced at least partially by Caliborn, of all people.

This isn't leading up to a theory or anything, it's just something I figured out very recently and it amuses me a lot.
