Heya! Used to be a server admin years ago, now I'm just a regular player. is there a troper server I oughta know about? Who runs it?

RedWhitenBlue runs the 'vanilla' server now. "New Ravendel". Hit her up for ip and whitelist access.

There's also the heavily modded server, run by me. Speaking of which, I should announce that the server is now up and running on 1.7.10 after a bit of a hiatus.

Has the New Ravendel End Portal been discovered yet? Because I just accidentally uncovered a stronghold a short distance from my storage pit.

I think another stronghold was discovered much earlier. Unless I'm thinking of the previous map.

Unless there was a new map while I am away, pretty much yes. The one by Raichu's place. Also has a XP grinder.

So I just checked my New Ravendel Mc MMO stats, and I can punch for more damage than a normal diamond sword.

Wow, I just lucked out. Building my new tower base and I dug out a long mineshaft with rails rather than just a hole and a ladder directly under it. I'm finding silverfish blocks now. Which means my new base and the mine shaft are right on the stronghold.

Actually, it means you're in an extreme hills biome.

I am. Silverfish spawn outside of strongholds? That would explain why I'm not finding the thing.

Yeah they do. I found the things all over the place when carving my bedrock level mine.

Yeah, outside of getting to the perfect elevation in the first place, they're really the only con I can think of when it comes to building homes in those biomes.

My villagers have vanished and I don't know why. I've built a tower for them to live in and installed balconies, since I recall that a house needs to have an exterior door. Does it need to be under direct sunlight, meaning I need to stagger the balconies?

There is a known issue where villagers just disappear. Could be that instead of them just running off.

Minecraft: Story Mode is a spin-off game made by Telltale. It's not a joke, and it's a brand new game. Incredibly horrible name.

Tin-foil hats and Microsoft bashing aside, don't we normally have snapshots and suggestions of pending updates by this point after a patch? Has Minecraft finally ended development?

No, we normally would not have gotten snapshots yet. But, they just released 1.8.2 prerelease 1 today, and 1.9 snapshots will begin in January.

Sounds like it's going to more or less story mode of how minecraft usually goes, but not in the minecraft engine. Fucking weird but hey, at least it's not Minecraft II- Mine Harder.

Holy crap! I really did not see that coming.

It's possible that you can pull off an adventure with Minecraft, but compared to some of the other licenses Telltale handled, this comes across to me as an odd one out in terms of story.

I'd like a story mode for Minecraft, even if it did come out bad.

I just like new things, whether I use them or not.

I foresee the story of a foul-mouthed child and his quest to build crude penises out of every imaginable substance.

Following him as he grows and his exploration and art skills improve so that he can build masterful penises?
