I'm not wholly convinced it's going to be amazing, but nor am I automatically pessimistic about it—just curious as to how they're going to work with it.
It's too early to jump to conclusions, anyway. That's the sort of silliness that comes with the first episode.

(Seriously, though — Dragon Ball is fun. The manga, at least. What I've seen of the anime suggests that even in the beginning, they were trying to stretch out chapters to fill a whole episode each.)

I'm not fond of any of those either (except the Journey To The West characters — actually, colours probably aren't too bad either). The main reason I'm not interested in it is that I'm just not into million-episode shounen, but the names do not help.
