Disgea comes to mind, where political finagling is necessary to unlock some classes/items/abilities/et cetera. Other than that, I'm sure there are others, but my brain is basically shut down at the moment x_x
Twitchin' Dem' Gamez.Dragon Age Origins has you trying to decide the result of a "Landsmeet" near the end of the game.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Are there any metroidvania games whose primary feature is exploring a large school building or school complex? (The way the Castlevania games are about exploring Dracula's castle, for example.)
I actually have a game that was good. It is actually a SPORTS game (not exactly going to beat Smash in a what is more fun to play contest). It's called NHL Hitz 20-03 (yeah it's old too, on Gamecube, PS 2, and Xbox). But it's actually very fun and crazy for a sports game. It is a 3 on 3 hockey game and all hitting penalties (except for hitting the goalie, unless you turn it off) are revoked and you can check people to your heart's content, and if you get in a fight, you play a fighting game mini-game (not just a first person slapfest like in 2K XX).
Not content with just checking? fret not, amass enough points in a meter at the bottom, you can set one of your players on fire, or wait until it is fully charged to set the whole team on fire (increasing their performance).
Not satisfied with licensed teams set on fire? Well you can also play as fantasy teams, including Knights, Zombies, Aliens, and even people made of wood. AND You can make your own team in franchise mode.
We Wear the Mask that grins and lies, it hides our cheeks, is shades our eyes.Hello, I was looking for a good RPG, but there are some things I need from it. I hope not being too picky, but I have problems finding something of my liking.
- Nothing against JRP Gs, but I need total control over my character, maybe all the way to stats if possible. Some limits are fine, -Class race and gender are enough-.
- It doesn't have to be class based. However point-based level up feels just too dry. (Nothing against power increases, this is about "You level up and your reward is math" and "More damage!", feature-based level up is better)
- It can be any genre, though I enjoy fantasy the most.
- No action RP Gs nor button mashers.
- Low on grinding.
Some things I prefer that aren't that needed but welcomed:
- Open-wide Multiclassing. A big plus.
- Minor nitpick, Spellcasters feeling more like Witch Species than Robe and Wizard Hat, more Cute Witch less Wizard Classic. Bonus points if there are no mentions of Wizard Academies, scrolls, spellbooks or magic libraries.
- Using a White Mage -a buffing non aggressive one- as your principal character being viable.
Is there a chance? (PC/Android is fine)

Forgive me for not being a walking stereotype. Saint RyougaThey don't fit all your criteria, but you may want to look into some Obsidian games. Neverwinter Nights 2 (you don't have to play the first one), Pillars Of Eternity and Fallout New Vegas would be good picks.
There are also Bio Ware games like Dragon Age Origins or Mass Effect.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Don't forget Baldurs Gate II, though you'll have to live with traditional witches&wizards and spellbooks. (When it comes to picking which spells to use, you'll even use one.)

Well, I never touched 2nd Edition D&D once, but I got through the BG games just fine. I'd recommend BG to anyone who's into Western RPG's, with just a bit of warning that it's not really for newbies. (And if it does prove overwhelming for them, they can always just open up the console and spawn a few Kill Swords; problem solved.)

Thanks for the suggestions. Baldurs Gate is close to what I want in some way, (and BGII has sorcerers so an alternative to traditional wizards, BTW I really like 2nd edition DND) it is just it can be quite overwhelming -I tried the original and Pool of Radiance at some point, I really don't understand the autopause function and I get killed pretty fast in BG-. Something more newbie friendly maybe?...
The thing with D&D based games is that well I like D&D, but I particuarly don't care about certain D Disms, the cleric doesn't feel like a White Mage and the D&D Wizards, I just hate them. (Neverwinter Nights 2 looks good I guess)
Dragon Age, Pillars of Eternity, Fallout New Vegas, Mass Effect, how do they tick on the list I provided? -it's just complicated to know that kind of information from blurbs alone-
Forgive me for not being a walking stereotype. Saint RyougaDragon Age Origins might be within your list. It has Mages but most aren't old Wizards and are social outcasts due to being targets of demonic possession. The sequels are actionized though and allow less character costumisation.
Little Big Planet sounds like what you're looking for.
Ah we already played that.
Is there Terraria for PS 3?
Are there any platformers where you can customize your appearance? I know Kirby and the Amazing Mirror had a bunch of Kirby color.
The Protomen enhanced my life.Yeah, Terraria is on PS 3, and that might be what I'm looking for.
Anyone know of a game similar to Naval Ops: Warship Gunner or Warship Gunner 2? They were on the PS 2, and I loved the hell out of them. Kinda seems like World of Warships might be the next best thing.
Honestly, Koei should really make another one.
Guys, there are A LOT of space 4x in the market right now, and honestly, Im a little overwhelmed. Which one would you recommend the most?

A wannabe story tellerEndless Space is pretty rad.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."A huge playstation flash sale with lots of stuff under 5$ what do ya think I should pick up?
Only able to get 2 or 3 of them right now, sadly. Thinking about Freedom Wars. Borderlands Bio Shock, Okami HD, or Burnout Paradise.
How does Borderlands stack up to the second one?
How is Freedom Wars?
The first Borderlands is not as good as the second one. It's pretty good gameplay wise(I bought it for fifty bucks on impulse and still don't regret it), but it's not as good as the second, and the plot is practically nonexistent.
I hear Freedom Wars is basically Monster Hunter through an anime filter. So, basically Gods Eater Burst. The plot's a mess, though.

What are some good, unique score-centric arcade-style games that are freeware? Keep in mind that I already know about the freeware SYNSO games and Forget-Me-Not. I would ideally like games that aren't twin-stick shooters or Minter-style seizure fests.

"I'll show you all of Paris, I'll take you on a tour, we'll go up and up and up so high they'll long for an encore!"
Are there any story-centric games that feature an election that one or more player-character(s) participate in, either as candidate or active supporter?
