I kind of want to see him do I Feel Sick, which has a segment in which the main character meets a wannabe-vampire...and his friend, a wannabe-mummy with a bee fixation.
Granted, there are scarier Vasquez comics out there, but the Brick Joke would be totally worth it.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.gotta admit this one perks my interest
" I did the right thing, didn't I? It all worked out in the end." "In the end? Nothing ends, Adrian. Nothing ever ends."superman and batman vs vampires and werewolves
" I did the right thing, didn't I? It all worked out in the end." "In the end? Nothing ends, Adrian. Nothing ever ends."I remember when that first came out. I thought it sounded ridiculous then, but now I might give it a shot.
Groovy.WHY AM I ONLY JUST LEARNING OF THIS COMIC'S EXISTENCE!?

What are the chances he'll review the comics where Batman became a vampire?
Edit: Never mind that, Today's LBOTD is Uzumaki. I love Junji Ito, his stories are genuinely creepy and scary, and leave you with a sense of just being uncomfortable.

I can't have you close, so I become a ghost and I watch you, I watch you.I just finished watching the "Entity" storyline, which I missed out on last year. And while the Entity itself was really cool, am I the only one who finds it really annoying how Linkara can just talk himself out of any situation and set up a Logic Bomb for any and all villains he goes up against? His "perfect logic" convinces an "Outer God" to commit suicide, as if a literal deity thinks the same way as a human. Because Linkara is always right. About everything. It's kind of obnoxious.
And yes, I know about the "turning evil" plot more recently, and I know the way he treats other characters shows some flaws, but he still beats every opponent with a big dorky speech where he systematically tears them apart, and it's getting a little old.
Groovy.Technically, the speech he gave to Vyce was just icing on the cake while he wrecked his armor. He didn't really talk his way out of that one.

Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987Similarly, I'm pretty sure he just blew Mechakara up.
If there's one thing that bugs me about the storylines it's Linkara taking the time to answer every goddamn question that could possibly be a . It results in way too much dialogue, and dialogue that feels stilted and unnatural.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Eh, he's still learning. I'm just glad that he now has the sense to separate the review portion from the storyline portion as much as he can.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987Eh... I just dislike all the "I'm so awesome" moments. I get it, the character is a righteous badass. I don't need to hear him keep speechifying about it.
Groovy.I've bored everyone with my rants over his storylines, so I'll say this: Doug gave the spoiler that Lewis is writing a Malachite's Hand plot, and that has the potential to be interesting for me.
I cut up one dozen new men and you will die somewhat, again and again.I heard about that as well. It sounds pretty interesting to me, too.
But if it ends with him giving a great big smug speech to Malachite, there will not be enough ::rolleyes:: in the world.
Groovy. The Thing from Another World #1.
"It's just like... a series of overlapping curses." - Flower Knight Dakini... Linksano's the most likely to die!
Persona 3 Portable LiveblogHis stories are hit-or-miss for me, and it's really hard for me to take all his exposition dumps, but when they're good, they are good. I did think the ending of the Entity arc was a bit...iffy, though. I don't think you could trick a being so powerful that easily.
RE: The review: Having not seen the movie, I can't really say it was that interesting to me, but I will say this—relying on stock characters and not doing anything to develop them into something more unique =/= good writing.
'Twill be interesting to see where this goes.

Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.Huh. I was hoping for that, but I didn't really expect him to spotlight any manga.
Bio Meat would be a good choice for another scary, but not as surreal, manga.

"It's just like... a series of overlapping curses." - Flower Knight DakiniSo, Linkara won't review comics where the major flaw is continuity issues with other comics, but he will review comics where the major flaw is continuity issues with a movie. That makes perfect sense.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. How many The Thing comics are there?
Enough for it to be this month's theme.
METAL GEAR!?Actually, after the second issue of "The Thing from Another World" next week, he's doing his usual Clone Saga review (this time, Power and Responsibility) followed by Bart Simpson's Treehouse of Horror #2.
Unless that Simpsons book has a story related to The Thing, then this "theme month" is more like "theme three weeks".
@Wack'd: What, comic doesn't have other major flaws? .-.
creepy 9 he is really embracing his inner horror host in this one...
