This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

~Luc, you unilaterally removed the examples from Sell-Out. Why did you do that? An Example Sectionectomy requires discussion beforehand.

Mainly because the example sections already exist: Money, Dear Boy for real world examples and Only in It for the Money for fictional ones.
I saw it as not a full Example Sectionectomy, as all the examples were of Professional Wrestling, which implied only one person was behind it, so I figured I'd just cut it, and note what the previous policy was—and if there was ever an entry that demanded caution with an example section, it was Sell-Out.
I saw that a moderator was a believer in the section, and figured "not going to argue here if more then one person thinks this is a good idea".

I was wondering about the reason for my suspension, and if and when I would be able to start posting again.
@Luc, as-is all examples are about people being called "sellouts". That is not the same thing as the tropes you mentioned. This kind of error is another reason why we don't want such unilateral moves.
@almightyblue, I suspended you for an edit war on Super Smash Bros. regarding the Did You Just Punch Out Cthulhu? entry. When disagreements arise, one settles them by discussion, not by insisting with an edit until the other side is exhausted.

Sorry about that. I really should utilize the discussion page more instead of using the reason for edit section to talk it out. I promise to not be so quick on the edit button in the future when someone disagrees with my edits.
Regardless: Could I please have my editing privileges back, given that the situation is due to a double misunderstanding on my part?

I'd like my suspension to be removed, please, as well as the reason why I was suspended in the first place so I know to avoid it.
I got a suspension from editing; i'd like to have the suspension removed, please. I think that I was removed because I sometimes added stuff to articles that was debatable, and I will try to not do it.

So, I've recently been suspended, and I am here to find out what I did wrong, and also what I can do to fix that. I notice I do tend to make a few lapses in my edits (like when I make new pages, I have to be frequently reminded to index them...), but I wonder if there's anything more to it than that. Earlier, I was given a message to fix another error I'd made...and yet I was suspended before I could even bother to try, which was a tad confusing. More to the point, I really would like to be able to edit here again, so I want to do everything I can to resolve this

I'm not sure about exactly what happened, but maybe I don't should have referred to a certain character of indefinite genre as him, and insisted on it. Some people said that was transphobic, even if it wasn't made clear if the character was really a male transexual or something more.....complicated.
I can still edit, though. I only can't post on the forums.
