@Epic Bleye: Her appearance can pass for someone in early adolescence, so no, "visibly a child" is not something that is applicable to her. And an adolescent having a childlike mentality is possible; we have a more extreme form in the Manchild trope, after all.

I am not "defending the character design", I am just pointing out that people are seeing sexualization that isn't necessarily there.

Seriously, just because she's a highly sexualized character doesn't mean that every single thing she does that could possibly be interpreted as a form of sexualization is indeed that. Like I've said, that shot in the concept art is little to no different from similar shots in other works involving much less controversial characters of a similar age bracket (that is, "at the very least ambiguously adolescent").

I detest selective condemnation, as it reeks of hypocrisy to me. That's my beef here.

Not really useful as an argument. In many places and cultures, the Western world among them, adolescents are often considered as being still "children".

Not as disgusting as sexualizing prepubescents, at the very least. And the difference is significant enough that this site's own Content Policy acknowledges it in its guidelines on assessing the skeeviness of any given work.

So when you read "passes for an early adolescent", the only thing you see is "she's actually a child but happens to look like an adolescent"? I'm starting to think you're one of those "adolescents are still children" people.

Seriously, she looks like a child, acts like a child and is fucking LABELLED as a child. The early adolescent thing is purely your invention, you might have some argument if there was any evidence anywhere that that was intended.

She doesn't even look like an early adolescent, clearly a young child. And the sexualization is definitely there, as there's no other reason to have that pose in her concept art.

How old do you think an 'early adolescent' would be? That's 12/13/14 years of age here, which is still disgusting. And that's besides the fact that she can't be confused with someone of that age unless you have no idea what an adolescent looks like. And what does me thinking "adolescents are still children" have to do with anything? Even if it were true (it's not), it has nothing to do with me saying that Jack is clearly a child that acts like a child with the features that children possess and that sexualizing that isn't alright.

Yeah no, Jack is clearly supposed to be a child. It doesn't matter one bit if she "technically" is or isn't one, she's clearly supposed to pander to that group.

Her design is basically trash. I say basically because I kinda like the knife-skirt-thing, but literally everything else is "nope".

Changing the topic- I read how Fran, Edison, and Tesla all have the Galvanism skill. It works by absorbing ampiant Prana/Mana/whatever you call it, and converting it into bio electricity/drama that the user can use to heal and fight. What I'm wondering is if it would be reasonable to suppose with the right resources a magus might be able to do the reverse, That is to say, convert electricity into prana? I just have this mental image of a magus connecting such a contraption to a bunch of Solar panels and starts churning out Mana Prisms while a more traditional magus is looking and ripping their hair out
