Ufotable have apparently forgotten how to draw noses since they finished Fate/Zero. Kara no Kyoukai's Mirai Fukuin and Extra Chorus adaptations displayed a similar shift in art style.

Though Rin (well all of them really) always looked off to me. Like is Archer in that screenshot supposed to look like a poor reskin of Gilgamesh? That's a huge chest he has there.

Canonically, Maiya only had a physical relationship with Kiritsugu. She wouldn't get hung up over such things, I believe.

... Of course, it's much more interesting for fanfics to go the fanon route and assume that she secretly ended up developing some measure of emotional attraction towards him, whether she realized it or not.

She already had that. It was just onesided.

When I saw that bit in F/z when Maiya was explaining her association with Kiritsugu to someone and somewhere used the line 'He can use me for whatever he likes', I felt the nigh-irresistible urge to recontext the whole thing as a harem anime.

Saber and Super Sonico crossdresser.

Never recognize Super Sonico but boy, that outfit sure fits for Saber.

Okay, so I just finished the part where Rin explains to Shirou what is the Holy Grail War.

The funny thing is that despite this, she may actually be softer and more idealistic than Shirou if Archer is taken into account. At the worst, he has the potential to be as pragmatic and ruthless as she constantly tries and fails to be.

She was lying in that case though. She was trying to force herself to do something she wasn't capable of, and it backfired in the worst way possible....in that Bad End.

Otherwise, she ends up getting shanked because she wasn't able to do it, and didn't realize it until literally a moment before she was about to actually go through with it. Even she calls herself an idiot for it.
