7.3/10 A nice, whisky ballad that probably won't stick around in my head.
Ezra Furman and the Harpoons - Take Off Your Sunglasses
Joke? Why are you calling it a joke? You drew a picture of two dudes hugging and wrote "I love hugs!" on it.A catchy folk-punk rhythm, some lovely Dylanesque harmonica playing and a ranting vocal performance that stumbles over itself in its desperation to cram as many words as possible into every bar add up to an enjoyable slice of slacker rock. One for sitting outside on a summer's day. 7/10
Red House Painters - Grace Cathedral Park
Tastes better on the way back down.Very soothing and melancholic at the same time. And I just love the voice. Honey for the ears. Not sure what the song is about though… Old age, maybe?
…Alright then.
Dream Theater - Octavarium, part I (Someone Like Him)
The part to review ends at 8:45. You can review the whole song if you want, but… yeah. 24 minutes.

Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.7.5/10. Pretty good. I really liked the different parts of the song. The singer is great and the guitar is pretty awesome. If there's one thing that prevents this song from going higher it's the length. Other than that, I liked it a lot.
I Mother Earth-Hell and Malfunction
Nice Alt Metal track. Keeps a good ratio of variety to structure to be enjoyable for such length, 4/5.
Kuniaki Haishima - Grain (Monster Opening)
Spiral out, keep going.8/10. A delightfully creep song. Perfect for a very dark anime.
Stone Temple Pilots-And So I know
For a post-grunge outfit, this is... mellow. Really, really mellow. So much so that the melody, sadly, starts to bring to mind elevator music after a while - though believe me, I would take this over Kenny G in a heartbeat. 6/10
The War On Drugs - An Ocean In Between the Waves
Tastes better on the way back down.Despite this technically being a rock song, it gives the feel of ambient music, in that it mostly serves to establish a mood. Nothing really happens, the present variety is superficial, and it ends abruptly. The dream-like atmosphere it creates makes it sort of an audio variety of Finnegans Wake: I suppose it can be made into an infinite loop and it won't lose anything, 4/5.

Spiral out, keep going.8.2/10 Tom Waits' performance is memorable, the arrangement is a sharp contrast yet amplifies the stressful mood. I guess you have to be in the mood for it.
Joke? Why are you calling it a joke? You drew a picture of two dudes hugging and wrote "I love hugs!" on it.7/10: I never really had much time for the National, but this is OK. Darker than usual.
Another green world.A strange blend of EDM and pop in the style of, well, disco music, 3/5.
Clean Bandit feat. Sean Paul & Anne-Marie - Rockabye
Warning: The music video features a pole dancer, but nothing really explicit.
Spiral out, keep going.God, Sean Paul's obnoxious. Something about the sound of his voice is just nails on a chalkboard to me, and he's not exactly spitting any clever bars to redeem himself with. Anne-Marie's more passable, but sounds like she's just jobbing for cash and not really invested in the song, which is at root a very generic beat made vaguely "tropical" via imitation reggae skank. 4/10
Tastes better on the way back down.7/10. A decent song. It's not my favorite Death Grips song but it's pretty cool.

Another win for neo-psychedelia: feels like Silversun Pickups with a side of Plastic Beach era Gorillaz, all under tons of Tame Impala sauce. These whimsical synthesizer rushes that bury the chorus overwhelm me just right, and the mighty bassline along with a touch of more traditional-sounding piano keeps it all from sliding apart. (8/10)
Nonsense is better than no sense at all.A bit heavier than usual, but still pretty standard Punk Rock track, 3/5.
Kärtsy Hatakka & Kimmo Kajasto - Main Theme (Max Payne 2 OST)
Spiral out, keep going.6/10: Pretty standard brooding Bond-type song. Cinematic strings, vaguely simmering jazzy feel.
Laurie Anderson - Walking and Falling
Another green world.Another entry in "Does that even count as music?" playlist. Whatever it is, Laurie's calm voice, detached intonations and the unnerving background "riff" makes for a quite an eerie experience, 3/5.
Viktor Tsoi (Kino band) - Kukushka (The Cuckoo)
Translated lyrics (source):
How many songs unwritten yet?
How many, tell me cuckoo…
Just say.
Where I should go, where I have to stay...
Whether I’ll fall down or rise up to the stars…
Which way?
Chorus:
Oh, my Sun, take a look at me.
Now my hand’s ready to fight.
And if there’s a fuze, give me a light.
All right.
Who will follow in lonely footsteps?
All the brave hearts left lying on the field.
They’re killed.
Only few there, who are still standing for,
Keeping their heads and struggling at will.
Like steel.
Chorus.
Where are you now, freedom of mine?
Who is with you, spending the night right now?
Don’t lie.
Someone is happy and I’m not so fine,
Fighting again and always about to die.
Good bye.
Chorus.
Spiral out, keep going.I actually quite enjoyed that! The tune didn't vary much but it was good so I didn't mind. I'd be happy to listen to that again. The vocals were good too. I've always liked that particular kind of voice, and it and the music go well together to give the kind of mood the lyrics are obviously going for. Nice. 4/5
And now, something that sat in the back of my head since the 90s until I heard it again and went "Oh hell, this thing!".
The last thing you hear before an unstoppable juggernaut bisects you with a minigun.A gentle, inoffensive pop-rock ballad with a Motowny electric organ part. Not bad, but I can't say it made me feel anything other than vaguely relaxed. 6/10
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
Tastes better on the way back down.7.5/10. A pretty good song. I remember this song during a scene in FLCL. Nice to hear the full version.

I always love a good melancholic ballad, so if you add a crescendo, I can't not like it. <3
Strangely enough, this is the first time I hear anything from the FF despite knowing them by name for years… A lot of energy and atmophere, and I quite like the singer's voice. It's all beautifully layered.
Yes, that's a guy dancing in a panda suit. Don't ask.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo. That was a really strange video.
Overall the song gets a 6.5/10. It has a nice sound and a cool chorus but it's a little too repetitive for me and I feel like I wouldn't come back to this.
Soundgarden-Superunknown
A pretty standard Hard Rock track, but the vocals, while passionate, become overbearing with time, 3/5.
Urge Overkill - Girl, You'll Be a Woman Soon
Spiral out, keep going.
Well, people have submitted really long tracks before (I myself posted 15-something song) and they were rated. People also have been posting different versions of a song with "rate whichever you like" note attached to it. I don't see why the combination of those two could be rejected.
Madness Mantra: The Song. Lyrically, musically and visually, 4/5.
King Dude feat. Chelsea Wolfe - My Mother Was The Moon
Spiral out, keep going.
