: me right now◊
Anyway, can I deem obnoxious autotuned vocals my musical pet peeve? Because they really, really are. The tune feels like it's trying a bit too hard to be all bubbly and fist-pumping as is, but the dispassionate machine noise masquerading as singing that accompanies it makes me want to tear off my ears and flagellate myself with my own cochlea. 2/10.
...also, fucking hell that image. It's like a conscious attempt to capture everything wrong with how women are portrayed in video games.

Tastes better on the way back down.8/10. I like Gorillaz and this song is pretty great. One of my favorite songs off their debut album.
Smashing Pumpkins-Appels + Oranjes
Electronica, in my Smashing Pumpkins? The fans may have lambasted it, but I personally think the Pumpkins would have pulled off the drastic transition better than anyone else were it not for the existence of Radiohead. The production is on point, the melody is strong, and Corgan, normally considered a whiny vocalist who worked best shoved deep into the mix, puts in a surprisingly good performance. 8/10
I shall now take a page from golgothasArisen's book and repost a song lost to the ninjas first time around.
Tastes better on the way back down.Sorry about that, I was short on time and could only rate one. Anyways...
6/10. Not one of Iggy's best in my opinion. It's just not very fun for me to listen to, and it gets way too repetitive.
Tech N9ne - Wither (feat. Corey Taylor)
Author.7/10. Dat Tony Hawk's Underground 2 nostalgia.
5.5/10. Rap Metal isn't my thing, but Tech's verses were pretty good, I guess. I couldn't help but wonder though, who the hell is Corey Taylor and why is he here?
@pointless: Let's just say I am really tired of people going "durr hurr christians r dum amirite" and leave it at that.
I thought the name sounded familiar.

To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."45/100 - The actual harmonies they use are fairly pleasant in and of themselves but their insistence on aimless repetition and tame melodic patterns keep this song from being much beyond background buzz.
8/10. I'm completely biased when I review LCD Soundsystem thanks to how much nostalgia hearing their music gives me. Screw it. I'm rating it anyway.
(Also I didn't know my handle would become a term)
Neutral Milk Hotel - "My Dream Girl Don't Exist"
"If you spend all your heart / On something that has died / You are not alive and that can't be a life"8/10. I really liked the guitar in this song. Jeff's voice sounds pretty good in this as well. I would say the sound quality is what prevents it from going higher. Other than that, it's a good song.

After I had discovered the list of Kurt Cobain's favourite musicians, I didn't really need to listen to Nirvana. I do care to admit this song is quite good though. It's just that there is a lot of truth in Cobain's words about how he and the gang took other bands' sound and made a stew out of it. (7/10)
Warning: the video below might not be suited for epileptics and also might give epilepsy to those who don't have it yet.

Nonsense is better than no sense at all.2/10. I can enjoy some Crystal Castles songs but this isn't one of them. Just a bunch of noise, really.
Cypress Hill - Rise Up (feat. Tom Morello)
Author.Cypress Hill and Tom Morello make a good combination. The rapping is nice, the guitar work is great, and and the beat is dope. 8/10
Tool-Schism

Tool keep this wonderful balance between alternative and progressive metal that I can't get enough of. This song is the prime example. It doesn not dip into sloppy angst like altermative metal often does, and it does not become a self-indulgent display - the reason why I don't listen to a lot of prog. Danny Carey's drumming is simply amazing, and the whole composition reminds me of a mechanism that slowly grows flesh and comes to life. (9/10)
Queens Of The Stone Age - A Song For The Dead
Nonsense is better than no sense at all.44/100 - Noisy, discordant, kind of grungey/punkish take on what sounds like psych/hard rock. Comes off as a bit jumbled; the constant rhythmic pauses for noisy fretboard fills and jaunty verse rhythms turn from off-kilter to inconsistent and a lazy way to communicate compelling rhythms. Meanwhile the backing vocal harmony turning into an extra layer of irritatingly distracting garnish.
…First half I was like "how is this music?" but it got better in the second half. The feel and instrumentations were somewhat clearer, and gave off a pretty convincing sense of chaos. Still not the kind of music I would listen to all day, but I can get the appeal, more or less. Those "vocals" are dispensable, though.
And now for something… lighter… ehem. >.>
Death Note OST - Light's theme
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Decent song. I really liked how it went from being calm at the beginning to being more grim by the end. It's really good. 7/10
Prince-Diamonds and Pearls

I prefer energetic Prince to balladeer Prince by a large margin. Sure, he still wrote ear-catching melodies and played a sweet guitar riff while going all sappy, but the problem... well, I've said it already - this track is sappy, with a nasty case of Eighties Production Syndrome to boot. 5/10
Tastes better on the way back down.10/10: A bright, blue-skied dance number on the sleek, eerie Homogenic. Fun fact: the first track I posted on RTSAY.
Another green world.63/100 - Really fucking weird; like an experimental mutant version of punk with some noisy avant-garde tendencies. To be fair I find the wailing guitar torture in the background to be somewhat out of place at points and at others disturbingly evocative.
2/10. I think I've already said the reason enough, this just isn't for me.
Living Colour - Cult of Personality
Author.8/10. Good song. I really like the guitar work. It's one of those songs that you don't get tired of listening to.
R.E.M-Shaking Through
I don't mean to offend, but are you religious by any chance? If you don't mind me asking.
