Needs Help: Characters.The Owl House NEW CROWNER

Right this isn't for addititions but with it being a large covering, I'd thought I'd bring it here. I've not seen the show but why are there so many character variants for images? Some of these are just tweaking on clothing etc. Some I think should stay (as someone who's never seen the show) since there's a notable difference in them but these I think should go.

I'm fine with the epilogue images staying since there's a Time Skip so it seems (apart from a few which you'll see are terrible quality.)

Thanks to them is the last arc of the show when spoiler the Trapped in Another World premise is reversed and Luz's magical friends get stuck in the human world so I can see the value in having them as it also involves a timeskip of a month or so. But I could also see the argument for their removal.

It's worth noting that the Luz images had been streamlined by a previous IP thread.

However, it looks like Crosshot and Ghidorah Ultima added in a couple of images (and the former added back in the halloween and epilogue ones) despite the commented out note saying not to do so.

I don't think they need that much variants.

Emperor Belos' unmasked form should stay mainly because that form is far more well known due to his long silver hair, a rot streak across his face, and a bent nose thanks to Lilith punching him.

Personally, I think the previous Titan Belos has a far better silhouette than the current.

With the Titan, I managed to get a transparent image of him as a replacement?

I added the "Luz in her Hexside uniform" because there's also an image of it on the Hexside page. I figured that if we also had that image, it should go on Luz's main page. I didn't see the "don't add images" thing, and I'm sorry about that.

I changed the Titan Belos image because I think the new image is a lot clearer and you can see him much better. The original was basically a silhouette.

Definitely like that image.

As for the initial proposals, I do like some of them. Eda and Lilith's outfit changes (especially the former) probably aren't enough to merit a new image. I also don't really think we need the "Teen Lilith" or "Teen Eda" images because they just don't feel important enough. And on that note, I'd also propose deleting the Hexsquad's outfits in "Thanks to Them". They wore them for like, two-thirds of that one episode. That's roughly equivalent to two episodes of the main show, and I don't think that merits its own section.

However, I would like to keep Camila's other outfits. Possibly even delete her nursing scrubs because, honestly, she only wears them in a couple episodes, one of which was a hallucination. I think it would be best for her main image to be her Season 2 outfit.

If nothing else, maybe we could add the removed images to an image link page?

The current Titan Belos picture is just too busy and his main body is not even in the center. Honestly, I would just cut that and keep the current unmasked Belos instead since Titan Belos only appears in one episode just like Hunter Belos and Old Philip Wittebane whereas unmasked Belos appeared in many episodes and is generally how people see Belos without that mask.

Overall, I'd like to retain these images:

• Luz, Amity, Hunter, Gus, and Willow's Halloween costumes.
• Camila's casual dress throughout Seasons 2 and For The Future designs.
• Belos possessing Hunter and the Titan.

The others could be deleted though, and I think we could also delete Vee's Luz disguise and replace it with her normal human shape.

Fairs about swapping Camila's image if the current main isn't her most common appearance.

I really don't see the point of the Halloween costumes though.

The Halloween costumes were worn at the end of the show during the endgame. It's essentially the finale costumes, the apex of the characters' evolution. There's also the fact that they wore them for the equivalent of six episodes, which would be a large portion of the show.

I especially want to keep Hunter's and Amity's, since Amity's Hecate outfit is significantly different from what she usually wears, and Hunter's O'Bailey outfit shows a significant change to his appearance (his scars).

I'd pull the Halloween pics, but keep all of Belos' pics.

And also pull Eda and Lilith's season 2 pics, and Camilla third pic

Keep Hunter's Halloween outfit not sure we need anyone else's even Amity's but Hunter's change is plot significant

Uh I thini the general consensus are these?

• Keeps
  • Make Carmilla's season 2 image her main one
  • Keep Belos' images but revert the Titan form
  • Replace the Titan's appearance with 6.
• Removals
  • Remove all other images
  • Remove all but Halloween variants
  • Remove all but Hunter's halloween

More or less, though I would recommend getting rid of Titan Belos if we must.

Really, it's all about the likelihood of seeing these characters in their outfits. The reason why the Halloween ones matter is because they are all seen in them for three long episodes of Season 3.

I have an idea. Why we don't just create a The Owl House cleanup thread to discuss the images and several other things. End of story

This has not been closed yet because I mean to make a crowner for it. But the options presented so far don’t cover all the changes (and need links to pages) so I need time to sift through them. But I also have not had time/been in the mood to do that. So maybe this weekend.

Personally, as someone whose only exposure to this show is via TVT, I'm extremely unimpressed with all the images that are just "character in different outfit". In context they might represent character growth, but to a non-fan that's extremely unclear and they look redundant. The only one that looks sufficiently different is the Titan's humanoid form, so that's what I'm voting to keep.
