If you just want to cut a page, you can submit it to the Cut List here. You don't need to post in this thread for that.
As mentioned on the Cut List page itself, cutting is generally seen as a last resort. If it's a Work page for a valid work, we may ask if there have been other attempts to save it. If it's a subpage, we may want to confirm that examples are being moved, not lost entirely.
Cut requests that don't have a reason will be declined.
Posts here may cover the following topics:
- Mod or engineer posts confirming that a cut has been declined.
- Challenges to save something that's already on the Cut List but hasn't been cut yet.
- Queries about recovering or restoring a page that's already been cut.
- Queries about next steps for pages where a cut request was declined (e.g. due to very high inbounds).
- General Cut List policy questions.

The first paragraph of the Cut List page itself is outdated. Firstly it mentions the form "on the right" when now it's below the explanation text. Then it talks about a wait button for challenges that no longer exists.
Can the text be changed so it references this thread in case someone wants a cut challenge?

Our The Fic May Be Yours, but the Trope Page Is Ours applies here. Once a page for a work or creator is on the wiki, we don't delete it just because the creator doesn't want it there.
As the page says:
In this case the creator's told you that he "feels uncomfortable with having a TV Tropes Page made about him" and you're asking for it to he deleted on his behalf, but the same policy applles.
It there are genuine grounds for deletion, that's something we can discuss on forums or an Ask The Tropers query.

You can just edit the page and type in [[redirect:(page you want it to redirect to, I presume Henry Stickmin Series Main Trio?)]]
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.
I went ahead and restored it just to save the history (and turned it into a redirect), but yes, is also an option in these cases.

They get a lot of inbound traffic from other sites and search engines - as with other Character-Specific Pages, is there a particular reason we're trying to cut them rather than redirecting to the new merged Characters page?
Ah, my apologies, I asked on the Character Specific Page cleanup and got a response they should be remerged. Rather than cultist, is it preferred I just make them into redirects into their now-parent pages?
How long does the cut list take? I made a request to cut a page I misnamed by mistake while trying to make an ensemble darkhorse subpage, Angel around Monday and nothing's happened yet.

I've declined the cut request for Characters.Little Mushroom Xiao Mo Gu as it's getting very high traffic from offsite visitors (3000+ inbounds).
We've turned it into a redirect to the new page instead.

We're uncomfortable cutting a page with 40+ Expy examples because you believe that none of them are valid.
If we're removing the page entirely, we want a wider consensus that all of these are misuse — or, if most are misuse but some are valid, we want some reassurance that the valid ones are being saved and merged into another page.
We have a dedicated Expy cleanup thread. It's worth discussing this there before any resubmission to the cut list.

Can I ask why the Fanworks subpages I sent to cutlist yesterday were declined? I'd understand if it was decided they didn't actually qualify as being too short, but I've already merged ~30 other pages of the same length before and they were accepted without any issue. This was actually the last batch of these that I just hadn't gotten around to yet.
The pages' contents have already been merged with their respective main pages (and one of them was already on its main page, making it redundant), they all had low inbounds, and I did everything the same as I've done with the other Fanworks pages I've sent to cutlist, so I'm just really confused here.

I propose the restoration of Awesome.Shattered Skies The Morning Lights, which I (under my previous account) cut in late 2021. I moved the one example there over to YMMV.Shattered Skies The Morning Lights because it was the only example on the page, but just because the page has one example doesn't mean it needs to be cut.
