I've always been bothered by this image, in part because this is another page where the title, image, and quote are all the exact same source. I'm OK with a pull.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessThrow it in the briar patch (wait don't actually, just eat it).
I'm good to pull.
Pull it.
Regarding potential replacement images, I came up with these two after scouring the webcomics folder on Briar Patching:
From Cucumber Quest:
Version of the above without the middle panels:
From Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal (IIRC the wiki has permission to use full comics from this series):
Personally I think the third image is the best; I just came up with the Cucumber Quest ones as potential alternatives. That said, I'd be fine leaving this without an image, since it's the kind of trope that'd be difficult to illustrate in one pic.

Be kind.I'd be fine with the third image.
If, by any chance, we wanted to keep the old image, these are the next two illustrations in the book for better context: Fox tossing Rabbit into the briar patch◊, and Rabbit laughing over successfully tricking Fox.
Those still rely on the text for an explanation, so I'm not big on incorporating them.
Be kind.9.3 is the clearest. As a dialogue trope, this relies on the text and 9.3 is the most easily readable. It's also hilarious.

9.3 works.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes.9.3's in "just passable" territory to me, but it's got consensus so it's in and tagged. Caption?
The Joker gives a whole new meaning to Batman Gambit.

Be kind.Sounds pretty great to me.
That works.

It's added and tagged; locking up.

The page image (which appears to have been picked purely because it comes from an adaptation of the Trope Namer) doesn't showcase the reverse psychology aspect that's central to the trope. Without context, it looks like Br'er Rabbit genuinely doesn't want to be thrown into the patch.
Be kind.
