A recurring question: When is it long enough to split off a subpage?
While answers varynote , we can usually tell when a subpage is not long enough. Bring any candidates here and we can discuss whether or not they were properly split off and agree on whether or not to merge them back.
Here's one to start off discussion: Pun-Based Title.Webcomics. Merge back to Pun-Based Title?
Forgot about this
Proposing merging back all the work-specific subpages of Completed Fic, with the possible exception of CompletedFic.My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic
Yeah, absolutely.
Unfortunately, it's one of those tropes that attracts essays.
TheXOfY.The Camp Half Blood Series is waaaay too tiny.
Looks decent to me.
Extremely tiny indeed

Yesterday, I did a soft-split cleanup on Draft Dodging. Its "Real Life" page was split off back in September 2022, and has since been greatly reduced... and with its current size coupled with the main page, the total would only be about 65,000 words, far below the limit for splitting. Merge it back?
Until next time...

It's gone. Rather than try to squeeze indentation onto the Camp page, I just split them back to the individual book series.
Some of the Early-Installment Weirdness subpages seem excessively short. The ones I'm most inclined to think should be re-merged are the following:
- EarlyInstallmentWeirdness.Wonder Woman
- EarlyInstallmentWeirdness.Spider Man
- EarlyInstallmentWeirdness.A Song Of Ice And Fire
- EarlyInstallmentWeirdness.Discworld
- EarlyInstallmentWeirdness.Redwall
- EarlyInstallmentWeirdness.The Wheel Of Time
- EarlyInstallmentWeirdness.Age Of Empires I
(The Literature ones were all split by a single troper last may — EarlyInstallmentWeirdness.Harry Potter was also made, but that one seems long enough to be worth keeping.)
A lot of the Western Animation ones also seem needlessly short, although I'd need another go through them to properly tell which ones.
Hi all,
I was kindly directed here from ATT:
I noticed that the main page for the character trope English Rose has had its Anime & Manga and Literature examples split off into separate pages by troper Deerhornsaresopretty. With these sections and all other media example sections included, this trope’s page is only a light 48k bytes, so it is in no danger at all of triggering an overly-long page warning any time soon. As this split seems unnecessary from a technical POV, and is a more fragmented user experience, should these sections be merged back into the main page? (I can see no edit reason, either, but please advise if I'm unaware of the policy).
Thank you,
Lex.
merge back
Those subpages all are too short, IMO. Might consider keeping them only if the works still had installments getting released.
Perhaps one of the reasons for the split was to get the image onto the Anime & Manga subpage. I wouldn't object to merging back and sticking the image on Image Links if it isn't there already.
thank you both - with that in mind, I’ll merge these back
I did some cleanup on ContinuityNod.Sonic Generations, where some examples seemed to fit a Mythology Gag instead of a Continuity Nod. As such, the MythologyGag.Sonic Generations is bigger (a little over 9K bytes), but now the Continuity Nod page for Sonic Generations is smaller (around 4K bytes). I'm guessing it would be safe to re-merge the ContinuityNod.Sonic Generations page with the main game after this?
I'm also going off the logic of what counts as a Continuity Nod being something story related or within canon while most gameplay elements or references seen in Sonic Generations are things that don't actually happen in their games (an opening movie pose for example), so before re-merging/cutting take place, double check.
Have done so now, and cutlisted the subpage. (At least, I think I have - it wasn't showing up on the cutlist page.)
Until next time...

ArtisticLicenseHistory.Dunkirk only has six examples on it, and even after I just added a bit to one of them, the text of the page, heading and all, is less than the full height of my browser window.

Merged and cutlisted.
Maybe we could just wait a few more days until it becomes a month after the Season 1 finale's release date and we could expand the list?
I can think of Zestiel, Emily, Molly, and Missi Zilla
They're not on screen for long, but they've caught fans' attention

So, should I merge them back?
