Fixing the title so it can link to the page in question.

As for the suggestion, I am not really seeing the tearjerk well enough?

Here's a higher-quality image of the same scene, but I think a more iconic scene would be better for the general tear-jerker page.

I would avoid a tearjerker moment from any work that has it's own tearjerker subpage if possible.

Health sure is versatile. It's possible to be both light-headed and dim-witted. At the same time, no less.

Considering that almost every game has its own subpage, that doesn't leave a lot of options outside of super-obscure games that we probably don't even have pages for.

All this page really is is a collection of links to the various subpages, plus a handful of unsorted examples.

There's a folder full of examples for works that don't have their own tearjerker page.

At least a third of those examples do have their own pages, they just haven't been sorted yet. The rest are indeed either fairly-to-extremely obscure so a suitable image will be difficult to find, or really generous definitions of "Tear-Jerker".

I don't think The Munchables crying at the end credits would make for a particularly good page image, unless we're going for a comedic angle.

EDIT: I went ahead and deleted all the offending entries. Most of them were already on their proper subpages and just hadn't been removed from here yet.

Taking a page from TearJerker.Film, here are some images of video game characters crying that could work. The MGS3 image from earlier (3.3) could also work for this (I might be able to find a higher-quality version of that one, though).

I prefer 11.1, but I'm good with any of them.

[up] Definitely not 3 or 4 of Peach, since those are exaggerated and look more humorous than sad.

Actually, I think Princess Peach's over-the-top nature works to its benefit, especially for 11.4. Other suggestions such as 11.1 may be too subtle, while 11.4 clearly demonstrates a crying character in a way that could not be mistaken for any emotion other than sad. Add in the fact that Princess Peach is one of the more universally-recognizable video game characters, and you have an image that could work very well for concisely illustrating the idea of sad moments in video games.

When it comes to illustrating tropes, I'd take something that is "over-the-top but clear and concise" over something that is "more subtle but therefore open to misinterpretation or confusion". After all, is anyone criticizing the main and literature pages for having comically exaggerated images?

[up] I gotta agree. An image being over-the-top doesn't mean it doesn't illustrate it well, and Peach is clearly sad in both 11.3 and 11.4 and doesn't look humorous at all.

That and I personally don't like 11.1 because the sad event in MGS4 that the image is taken from is kinda ruined by Otacon's voice acting for me, which especially hurts because it was really good in MGS2.

I think 11.4 looks silly, in any case. The Super Princess Peach artwork in 11.3 might work (though I still don't think it's the best option), but there's no reason for it to be superimposed on a Super Mario 64 screenshot. I like 11.2 the best out of the ones suggested.

[up] Definitely agree with you on that. I do tend to lean a bit on 11.3 over 11.4, but 11.2 is the best of those suggested.

I like 11.3 or 11.4 more. They're, as mentioned, much more clear.

I like 11.3 the best, it gets the point across without being too over-the-top.

Here's a version of 11.3 without the Super Mario 64 backdrop.

EDIT: I went ahead and made a crowner.

All I can think of is something along the lines of "Not feeling so peachy" and nothing else.
