Needs Help: Male Might Female Finesse

This suggestion was upvoted in the Image Suggestion thread for Male Might, Female Finesse.

However, someone offered an objection:

Here's the definition of Male Might, Female Finesse.

In fiction, male-female fighting pairs tend to have the guys dealing damage from close range while the girls stay out of the front lines and dish out damage from long range either as an archer or a mage (or both) or heal up the guy doing all the fighting.

"Olivier Mira Armstrong" using a sword (close-range weapon) is Not An Example.

and offered this counter-suggestion:

I don't think this objection is actually valid and trying to narrow the trope down too much. For one thing, it's explicitly a Sub-Trope to Force and Finesse. The trope description also includes this bit:

For their fighting style, expect the man to be brawling with brute force while the female to be agile and graceful, with the woman tending to exercise She-Fu and/or Waif-Fu.

You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"

I think the Armstrongs fit the trope and are a much better example than the WALL-E and EVE pic...whose quality is crap to start with.

The objection is invalid because it doesn't take the potholes into account. The "girls stay out of the front lines" line is potholed to Guys Smash, Girls Shoot, and the objection is saying the suggestion does not illustrate Guys Smash, Girls Shoot. Which is a good thing.

This trope is more about an Unskilled, but Strong man and a Weak, but Skilled woman who fight together.

The Armstrongs fit — or at least illustrate the trope, imo — and so get my vote.

The Armstrong suggestion is miles better than the counter-example.

Olivier wields an elegant sword while Alex wields spike knuckles. Yeah, it fits.

That's enough consensus. The Armstrong pic's up and tagged; caption?

Might and Finesse have been passed down the Armstrong family line for generations!
