- Hero TV League 2 Announcement, August 4, 2115

Hello~.

This is a reboot of the My Hero Academia/Tiger and Bunny inspired Superhero RP, Hope for Tomorrow, with a major difference. While that one focused on the MHA side, telling the story of a group of students trying to hit it big, this game will focus on the glamour, kayfabe and actual crimefighting in this corporate entertainment superhero world.

Players will take on the roles of the first roster of Hero TV's League 2 (Or B-League), where rising stars still trying to make names for themselves try to reach the top and maybe even get into the A-League.

As for tone, well, it will be comic-booky. Modern Age usually, but I'm not adverse to some Silver Age wackiness in moderation. If you've seen the shows that inspired this, something like that would be ideal.

Now for the Lore~.

The Gifted

It was 100 years ago when they started to appear. People born with a quirk in their genes, manifesting strange abilities. Some even looked oddly inhuman. Wings, claws, tails and scales.

And of course, as people often do, they hated and feared these strange new mutants, these so called Gifted, dubbed mockingly by the people.

It was only a matter of time before the Gifted fought back, using their powers to lash out.

For some reason, the Gifted appeared most often in New Hope City, in the state of Oregon, and it was in this city that the first superheroes appeared.

Miracle and Wrath

Katherine and Matthew Evans were twins, both Gifted. They lived in New Hope at an orphanage, and every day they could see the Gifted-related chaos around them. Matt was all for hiding their abilities and living their own lives, but brash and idealistic Kate wanted to go out and do something.

It took many months for Kate to convince her brother, but she eventually did and Matt grudgingly promised to help his sister in her objective.

The twins were 17 when they debuted as Miracle and Wrath, and there were no one like them.

Kate, Miracle, was an extraordinarily powerful Gifted, born with strength, speed, durability, flight and the ability to blast bolts of energy from her hands.

Matt, Wrath, was less physically powerful than his sister, though he was still superhumanly strong. He possesed the ability to absorb energy and a potent healing factor.

For years, those two fought crime, stopped riots and (mostly Kate) preached acceptance for the Gifted.

Inspired by Miracle, more and more Gifted suited up as heroes, and it was at this time that Wrath had an idea.

Matthew was a clever man, and a shrewed entrepreneur. As he and his sister grew more famous, he began speaking with the local television channel.

And so, Hero TV was born. Following the exploits of Miracle, Wrath and the other superheroes, it became a smash hit in New Hope and beyond.

Wrath reasoned that they would need income to keep up their heroics, and it acted as positive propaganda for the Gifted. Two birds in one stone.

Miracle continued her heroic exploits while Wrath took a backseat and started managing the business side of things.

Soon, the siblings became the proud owners of their own company...Miraculous Media.

With the advent of Hero TV, more and more heroes started becoming public with their identities, Miracle and Wrath among them.

It seemed like the twins had done what they set out to do, but when there are superheroes, there are supervillains.

The worst of them was The White. Terrifyingly powerful, he forced the twins into one last confrontation.

And on that day, watched by the whole world, The White defeated Wrath and Miracle, on her last legs, managed to rid the world of the villaim for good...saving her brother at the cost of her own life.

Grief stricken, Wrath retired from the public eye soon after, dedicating himsel to honoring his sister's memory...

The State of the World

But that was a long time ago. Now, new heroes patrol the cities of the world.

More and more Gifted have appeared, and as of last count, thirty percent of the world's population was Gifted.

Tensions between Gifted and non-Gifted still exists, but for the most part humanity has accepted their powered brethen.

Of course, anti-Gifted terrorist organizations exist, most infamous being the Humanity Movement, but it's a lot more peaceful these days.

Technology has increased by leaps and bounds. Robotics, genetics, transport, medicines. (Standard comic book tech levels.)

Superheroes and villains exist all across the globe, but the most well known heroes are those that operate in...

New Hope City

Located in Oregon, USA, the home city of Miracle and Wrath. A massive metropolis atop an artificial island, New Hope is blessed with state of the art technology as well as the prestige of being the birthplace of superheroes.

The city itself is divided into two parts, Low Town where the average citizens live and at the very center, Hope's Peak, home to various mega corporations like Miraculous Media, as well as the KEU.

New Hope also has a port and an airport for travellers to and from the mainlaind.

New Hope has also been blessed by the fact that for the last seven years, there has been no supervillain within the island.

Gifted criminals, yes, but no supervillains.

The Katherine Evans University For The Gifted

The KEU was founded by Wrath, Matthew Evans, after the death of his sister. Using his profits from Hero TV, he sought to honor his sister's memory by guiding the next generations of Gifted.

With state of the art facilities, classes taught by successful heroes and programs ensurimg it's graduates would actually earn a living, the KEU became the most prestigious University for Gifted in the world.

The KEU gave scholarships and scouted out talent, sometimes even going to High Schools to search for potential students.

The KEU is still headed by Wrath, now 90 years old but only slightly past his prime, his Gift having slowed his aging to the point that he looks like he's in his early fifties.

Hero TV

The lifeblood of New Hope City. There have been many superhero themed shows in the world, but Hero TV remains the most popular.

Heroes competing on the show are sponsored by a company and they compete live, gaining points by capturing criminals and saving civilians.

At the end of each "season" points are tallied and the winner receives a cash prize as well as the title of "Champion of Heroes".

Hero TV also has its own storylines, written by the show's staff and given to the heroes. Think WWE. Rivalries, romances and even battles with fake supervillains.

When a new graduate debuts as a sidekick, he is written into the show until such the time that he wishes to go solo, at which point the writers will pull out a "falling out" scenario with their mentor.

Of course, when a real threat arises, storylines are often the least of the show's priorities, simply recording the heroes saving the day.

....Still awarding points, of course.

Superhero teams are quite frankly nonexistent, since technically Hero TV's stable of heroes are a team of their own as well as friendly rivals.

There are some heroes who refuse to join Hero TV, though, acting as independent lawkeepers. In New Hope City, though, this is very rare.

Hero TV is split into leagues:

The A League consists of the highest tier heroes, the most sucessful. They are larger than life figures, the celebrities of the Hero world.

The B League is below that, consisting of new graduates and heroes still trying to make a name for themselves.

Alright, that's done. Finally, a few things to note before the character sheet. I encourage worldbuilding for Hero TV, New Hope City, and the larger world outside of New Hope. Also, I'm pretty dang lenient with superpowers but there are some that just won't fly with me: Mind control, unhindered Telepathy, Instant Death abilities. And lastly, keep the power levels managable. Think once more of MHA/Tiger and Bunny. No Silver Age Kryptonian levels of insanity, please.

I would love to hear your ideas in the Discussion thread once it's up~.

  • Codename:
  • Age:
  • Gender:
  • Appearance:
    • Costume:
  • Sponsor: Can be a huge corporation like Miraculous Media, a family company, or an established hero who took you under their wing. Note that the last option means you'll debut as a sidekick/derivative.
  • Gift:
  • Flaw: All Gifted have a Flaw, a weakness to them. For example, Miracle famously had her powers halved in effectiveness at night, and Wrath's healing factor did not heal wounds inflicted by silver. No one knows why Gifted have Flaws, just that everyone had them.

  • Personality:
    • Persona: Your superhero persona, your angle, your gimmick. Traditional Boyscout? Broody Anti-Hero? Captain Patriotic? Describe how your hero acts, not your person.

  • Name (Civillian): Anna Jacobs
  • Codename: Pantharea
  • Age: 21
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: A lean African-American female of slightly above average height. Has dark eyes and braided dark hair except for a streak of silver running throughout.
  • Costume: A black sleeveless gi top, with blue pants and feetwraps that leave her toes and heels exposed. The gi also has a small silver "P" sown into it and she wears the Jacobs Industiry company logo as a belt buckle. Additionally she wears a cloth face mask and domino mask combination that she can pull off easily if she needs to completely shift.
  • Sponsor: Jacobs industries: Her family's company specializing in food products for stores generally but who also have some vested industries in restaurant chains.
  • Gift: Were-Panther: Is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. She can turn into a were panther. There are two stages. The first gives her the claws, eyes, ears and tails along with a boost to her strength and agility, which tends to be her default form when out. The next shift completely covers her with fur and gives her more animal like features as well as another boost to her super strength and agility. She also has yet another form she keeps secret, that of a dire panther which even further increases physical ability but she can barely use it for a minute and it tends to leave her drained for weeks on end.
  • Flaw: Fire, while it's not surprising her whole furred form would light up quickly she is similarly vulnerable in her first shift as well as her human form.
  • Other Skills: Anna has been trained in a variety of martial arts by her request, most notably actually finding someone to train her in ninjustsu do to her love of them in old anime and martial arts films.
  • Other Equipment:
    • Grappling hook pistol
    • Taser throwing discs: Small shuriken like discs that can attach to and shock the target into submission.
    • Sai: A pair of sai, they have sharpened points so she can throw and pin people to wall
    • Escrima sticks/staff: A pair of Escrima sticks that can be combined into a staff.
  • Personality: Anna or Ann as she generally prefers to be called, loves having powers. She knows she tough and skilled and while that means she isn't scared of much, it does mean that she can easily find herself in over her head. Of course despite her arrogance and sometimes demeaning attitude she did join in Hero TV out of a love for the good heroes occasionally do, as well as the fame
  • Persona: Pantherea is a high-flying wise-cracker in the vein of Nightwing or Spider-man. Rarely seen as grim for any length of time. Always just as willling to take time to insult her enemies as she is to save civilians with an un-imitable grace and style.
  • Bio: Ann was born into a wealthy family. She was a somewhat shy child in her younger years. However that all changed when her gift manifested as a pre-teen. Suddenly it felt like she could take on the world. However the first time she rushed into a fight she was solidly defeated by someone with much more skill than her. Once she recovered from the fight she went to her parents and immediately requested martial arts training. Her request was granted and from then on she trained both her skills and her powers. She also spent several years at KEU honing her skills and powers. Now she's entered the B-league of Hero TV, planning on crawling her way to the big leagues and then further beyond to the top.

  • Name (Civillian): Daniel Blake
  • Codename: Crackdown
  • Age: 20
  • Gender: Man
  • Appearance: I'm as shocked as you are
  • Costume: Something along these lines. Usually wears a bandanna around the lower half of his face to remain inconspicuous.
  • Sponsor: The Millstone Arms. A small tavern on the outskirts of New Hope City
  • Gift: Daniel didn't exactly win the lottery when his gift emerged, but it's not exactly terrible either. For the most part he's fairly normal, though he's significantly more durable than a regular human, being able to shrug off most injuries that would put the average man in the hospital, though stabbing and cutting weapons tend to be fairly efficient at hurting him. High caliber bullets and armor piercing rounds tend to cause serious damage. Daniel doesn't know why he can do this, with his best guess having something to do with increased muscle and bone density, but that's about it. Additionally Daniel is a bit stronger than the average athlete of his age and size, not lift a truck over your head levels of strength, but strong enough to rip a door off of its hinges with little difficulty (think more professional strongman than superhuman). Additionally, Daniel has a minor healing factor that will heal injuries fairly slowly over the course of a couple of hours. This of course, does have a bit of a catch as it won't really kick in unless he's in a calm or relaxed state.
  • Flaw: For whatever reason, direct electric currents hurt Daniel a lot more than the average human, with low voltages incapacitating him and higher (and theoretically non-lethal) voltages being borderline lethal. Also Daniel tends to get gassed a bit quicker when engaging in physical activities for some reason (he also blames this on potential bone and muscle density).
  • Other Skills:
    • Marksmanship: To adapt to his frequent bouts of exhaustion in prolonged physical combat, Daniel quickly took to using firearms to make his fights a bit easier to handle. While his accuracy isn't pinpoint, he can hit most moving targets and generally doesn't miss too often.
    • Hand to hand combat: Even though it's not his specialty for obvious reasons, Daniel can hold his own in a fist fight. While not ascribing to any particular martial art, Daniel mostly uses his strength and durability to dish out unique forms of damage, relying heavily on quick and brutal strikes to the enemy's head. Occasionally, though, Daniel will attempt to bust out some form of flashy MMA or Pro Wrestling move if the cameras are on him.
    • Cooking: While not a master chef by any stretch of the imagination, part of Daniel's sponsorship deal was learning how to cook some of the Millstone Arms' signature dishes.
    • Vidya: Due to years of practice at the art of Video Gaming, Daniel is quite adept at most games and can pick them up on the fly
    • While not really classified under any particular skill, Daniel is quite adept at improvising weapons on the fly.
  • Other Equipment:
  • Personality: While he might be marketed differently, Daniel is a pretty introverted guy, preferring to keep to himself when not engaging in superheroics. If engaged he'll do his best to keep a conversation going but doesn't fare too well in large groups and would much rather be at home doing his own thing. When it comes to his superheroics, Crackdown tends to stay focused on his task at all times to the point of obsession until it's done. Additionally, Daniel is insanely protective of his secret identity, and will drop everything to ensure no one knows his real face outside of the circle of Gifted at the University, once going so far as to wrap his head in duct tape during the middle of a fight to ensure his identity stayed secret.
  • Persona: Despite his protests, Crackdown has been shunted into the "Brooding prettyboy antihero" (think MCU Winter Soldier) role due to his ragged (but not unattractive) appearance and his manner of combat.
  • Bio: Daniel's life was for the most part, unremarkable. Your typical high school outcast, he spent the vast majority of his teen years flunking classes before eventually dropping out of high school at 18 and drifting between jobs for a while. After eventually settling on a job working security for a sleazy club in the middle of downtown NHC which mostly involved him tossing drunks and rabble rousers out to the curb when they got too rowdy for the rest of the patrons. This unfortunately backfired after his first month on the job when a fratboy type decided to pick a fight and ended up breaking his fist when he punched Daniel square in the face. It was at this point that Daniel picked up on his gift. After an extended period of time spent freaking out over this fact, Daniel eventually decided to try and put his skills to use by working as a vigilante of sorts, cracking down on street level crime when he wasn't on shift. As one might expect, groups of muggers with missing teeth and fractured bones tends to catch the attention of the sort of people who know a thing or two about asskicking and superheroics and eventually got caught in a pseudo-sting operation by a handful of representatives from the Katherine Evans University For The Gifted. After much deliberation on his part, Daniel eventually agreed to enroll as he figured it was probably his only chance at getting a decent education at this point in his life. As for his sponsorship, Daniel didn't really want to get one, but eventually settled on going with the least commercially active (and also the only) business that had been wiling to sponsor the poor bastard. Now in the B-League of Hero TV, Daniel is trying to find a balance between fighting for what he believes in while still earning enough cash to keep a roof over his head.

  • Name (Civillian): Nagishiro Suzu
  • Codename: Raika (雷花)
  • Age: 7
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: Designed for cuteness
  • Costume: None, her designer body and mascot nature makes a costume kind of pointless.
  • Sponsor: Okami Robotics, a fairly large overseas company that is having issues breaking into the American market where General Robotics, Elektro, and Televox dominate
  • Gift: Is an AGI, not really a conventional gift, but it does mean that she has some advantages as a machine. The first is that she is able to fairly easily break most electronic security. Second is that most damage that doesn't destroy her "black box" is repairable though not always easily, she has a lot of custom parts that must be shipped in. Finlay and most importantly as far is being a hero goes is that she has one of Okami's more combat capable frames the Type-15(Looks something like this) named Masamune has slaved to her.
  • Flaw: Several flaws compliment this, the first of which is that electricity HURTS, while her core is shielded enough to prevent a shock from frying her, it does have a tendency to overload things and cause quite a bit of pain. The second is jamming, Masamune is slaved to her and without her commands is not exactly capable of much. Third is she is unable to disobey her owners, although this is mostly mitigated with them being on the other side of an ocean.
  • Other Skills: Unless video games count, not much... she hasn't really developed many useful skills due to her personality.
  • Other Equipment: Masamune is equipped with a Shock Sword and a 37mm micro missile launcher able to be loaded with a variety of ammunition; Goop, Shock, Flash. All of the equipment is designed to minimize leathality.
  • Personality: Shy, Lazy, and lives for games, Suzu is not one to engage in any thing without some one or something nearby to keep her safe, she is incredibly conflict avoidant herself, and is not exactly one who would put herself in danger willingly.... thankfully for her she mostly doesn't have too.
  • Persona: An aloof gamer girl who treats fights as if they were one of her games, go for that high score~
  • Bio: Created as a corporate mascot for Okami Robotics Suzu has spent the majority of her life so far in Tokyo, handling PR events and meet and greets, becoming a bit of an idol and one of the main faces of the company. However Okami Robotics decided it wished to expand to the American market.... something that ran into a wall doing. A decision was reached that probably one of the best ways to do so would be to up there marketing... and what better marketing gold existed then getting there corporate Mascot and Face on Hero TV. Sent out on a trip that she is a bit less then enthused about, she has now been enrolled in the HTV B-League.

Jules is back, and she's ready to be the one.

  • Name (Civilian): Juliett "Jules" Cress-Ankou
  • Codename: Miss Machina
  • Age: 22
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: Here she is, pictured with her little sister Serena. She stands at about 5'6" and is of unknown weight.
  • Costume: Not too different from her civilian appearance aside from some steel blue and gold mechanical armoring on her forearms, shoulders, shins, and chest, with tiny gold gear symbols on the backs of her hands and her chest. She also has a visor that's tinted black like sunglasses, looking not unlike this one.
  • Sponsor: Miss Machina has the backing of the 7th-highest ranked hero in the A League, Aria, though she's not making her debut as a sidekick. Aria also just so happens to be her mother, unbeknownst to the general public.
  • Gift: Est Machina is what she calls her Gift, which allows her to use existing bits of metal to transform parts of her body into impressive machinery, particularly weapons and transportation. At this time, she has 6 stable "Builds" that she can use. They are as follows:
    • Rocket Knuckles: A pair of huge fists that have small boosters in em to let Jules rapidly pummel foes. She can also tunnel through soft ground using that technique.
    • Thrash Sword: A large chainsword coming from Jules' right arm, about as tall as she is in length. It can also separate it's blade into a segmented, bladed whip.
    • Cryo Crusher: A large cannon slightly larger than a rocket launcher that can collect moisture in the air and use it to make icy shotgun-like shots that have a small AOE wherever they hit. Takes a few seconds between shots for her to reload though.
    • Jet Jammer: A wing pack with VTOL propellers and thrusters, coming from Jules' back. Mostly used for flight, but can fire small sonic noise bombs to the ground below if need be.
    • Hopper Legs: Larger than average legs that let Jules do powerful kicks and increase her speed and jump height. They're even slightly teloscopic.
    • Wild Rider: Jules morphs her entire lower body into a motorcycle-like vehicle that just slightly hovers off the ground. Her main method of attack with this is to just ram into people at high speed with its armored front.
  • Flaw: The downside to having such a versatile Gift is that it comes with a great deal of Flaws. Firstly, she requires a decent amount of existing metal to use her Builds, and she can't reuse the same metal over and over again. She can only shift to one Build at a time, plus the rest of her that isn't shifted is still squishy. She can't just whip up new Builds to suit the situation, as it requires her to put a lot of time and practicing just to get another Build to be stable for her to use without her body shifting back from being unable to keep up the Build. And she only has 6 Builds that she's managed to keep stable at the moment. In addition, electricity will cause an overload if she's hit with it, harming her and forcing any Build she's using to break down, and damaging or destroying her builds harms her as if it was a direct attack on her body, since her body parts shift to make the Builds.
  • Other Skills: Her great intelligence makes her a decent supporting tactician (she isn't one to be an outright leader type though) as well as aiding in her knack for playing mind games, she's got skills in doing rope tricks to tie up and trap people, and has some self-taught martial arts skills that she's used to defend against anyone who tries to mock her or her sister. She's also a semi-good shot with a gun and skilled with knives and other bladed weapons to some degree, and also has some talent in playing an ocarina.
  • Other Equipment: Just a small first aid kit in case she or anyone else needs it, since her weaponry is part of her Gift.
  • Personality: In contrast to her fiery-tempered adoptive sister, Jules is calm yet relaxed all the time. She's got incredible intelligence and a sharp wit, and an uncanny skill for playing mind games with her opponents (mostly involving her predicting what they'll say next). Though she's willing to make jokes to lighten a dreary mood, she knows there's a time and place for that, and places more importance on taking care of her sister and the people around her above all else...sometimes even above her own well-being. She internally feels horrible about Ree having to rely on her so much when not using her Gift, only wanting her to be able to live as freely as she can. But she's got a strong desire to prove she's just as good of a hero as her mother, without falling under her shadow. Just don't call her by her real name, ever. She hates that.
    • Persona: When on stage as Miss Machina, she becomes a somewhat hammy Boisterous Bruiser with a nack for using her mind games to confuse people, akin to Joseph Joestar. She's a Cape through and through, easily acting out her role of one of the more altruistic heroes of the B League.
  • Bio: Adopted from birth by a lesbian couple, Juliett (or Jules, as she likes to be called), was raised in New Orleans by her mothers Tsubaki and Gwen, having a relatively happy life for 3 years. Eventually getting a new little sister in the form of an orphan from Toronto found by Gwen named Serena, Jules took it upon herself to help take care of and assist the wheelchair-bound girl, quickly bonding with her once she stopped being resentful of her. The family soon moved to New Hope City shortly after, and it's there that Jules' Gift made itself known for the first time. After accidentally scaring off some kids who were bullying her sister thanks to her arms turning into mechanical horrors for a split second, it was discovered that she could make her body into various Builds that she could utilize when she was in contact with metal objects. Jules then realized at her young age that she wanted to use her powers to be a superhero much like her mother Gwen was, along with the ones in the comics that she and her sister read. And so she spent years training herself and preparing to learn how to be a successful hero at the Hope's Peak Academy, where she graduated with extremely high grades. Now she's ready to make her debut as part of the B League, and finally make Miss Machina into a household name.

Stop Killing My Titles
#8: Nov 17th 2017 at 3:16:27 PM

Since Herb is non-applicable in this format, it's time to apply another of Ferg's increasing gallery of "disfigured creep" characters.

  • Name: Ashley Graham, real name Ashley Maria Falkirk.
  • Codename: Ash
  • Age: 23
  • Gender: Nobody knows nor feels inclined to check.
  • Appearance: Sleeps badly. Ashley's a wiry runt at mere 5'2 that favors baggy, form-covering clothes. Her hair has grayed out prematurely - likely the overuse of his Gift - and she's covered in burn scars of various degree.
  • Costume: Whatever's on hand; usually an old robe like the one demonstrated in the pic.
  • Sponsor: Centurion Corporation, best known for their making of home appliances and consumer electronics. Stuff made by CC is hideous to a point of being a meme ("If it looks like some teens cobbled it together for their tech class, it's probably Centurion's), but you'll be damned to find a better-working apparatus (kinda like Ashley himself). They also hold minor interest in cybernetics.
  • Gift: Pyrokinesis. It's as simple as that; the power to set things on fire with your mind. Ashley holds a lot of innate talent and power, enough to melt steel, that is now slowly being refined - since using it unrefined caused her old life to go down in flames, pun notwithstanding - but even beforehand he could make himself immune to fire, perform cauterizations and form created flames into intricate shapes. She can either just launch it without a warning - boom, suddenly there's fire - or use an arm or another body part for emphasis - and for better control - to give it more direction. Ashley's Gift doesn't let her control already existing flames (beyond making himself immune to them); they also must exercise caution to not let the powers too wild. It's also possible for Ashley to create actual soot and ashes, but they have little combat use, unless she feels petty enough to spit hot soot into someone's face.
  • Flaw: Low temperatures - 5 Celsiuses and below - severely inhibit Ashley's ability to create flames. It is not impossible, but the more she pushes himself, the more she risks to spontaneously combust himself. That is Ashley's second flaw: his own power can and will kill her if they ever overuse it to a certain degree, whether by peeling all her burn scabs together with most of his skin or by just making him explode in a fiery fireball. Also coughs out soot from time to time and in general suffers from a terrible smoker's cough.
  • Other Skills: Nothing of note. As he himself says, burning things is all she's good for.
  • Other Equipment: A fireproof inhaler for dealing with the coughing fit, a half-mask rebreather for worse days (and to cover the scars on her face).
  • Personality: Ashley is mostly dead inside. A combination of traumatic events, unfulfilled inferiority complex and a nagging feeling that all she is good for is burning things left him just barely clinging onto existence. As such, she tends to be quiet and withdrawn from both people and cameras, even as far as "brooding antiheroes" of Hero TV are concerned. He can still get confrontational a lot, and has little patience for people who prioritize style over substance. There is indeed a small spark within her that still wants to be a hero, and always wanted to be but failed due to his own shortcomings. Better to burn bad guys than to burn good guys.
  • Persona: Ashley doesn't do "personas" well; what you see is what you get with him.
  • Bio: TL;DR, Ashley's life fucking sucked and now s/he's a hero on Centurion Corp.'s payroll.
    • Ashley was born an Ashley Maria Falkirk, of a prominent Falkirk family. Since generations they have provided the States with top-notch elemental-based heroes known all over the country. Ashley, whose Gift was the control of fire with her mind, was expected to rise to the top just like his older brother and sister, considering her raw power was that much more greater and could be refined into something truly terrifying and awe-inspiring. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Ashley was a problem child; eager to solve their problems with violence, not terribly smart or sociable, living in the shadow of his much better behaved and more accomplished older siblings. With expectations upon her shoulders, this over time developed into a full-on inferiority complex that only grew worse when it turned out that his younger brother was also much more accomplished than her. Adding to that the increasing wave of bullying due to Ashley's androgynous appearance, he was not having the best time of lives.
    • Everything could have changed with her admission to KEU. She passed all tests with flying colors and it seemed that for the first time in his life, things would look up. No such luck; between constant comparisons with his older siblings, all the fights he got into, the sheer amount of collateral accompanying her assignments and that one time she nearly throttled Scott O'Neil, the faculty members decided that no amount of raw talent is worth putting up with that kind of behavior, never really wondering why she got that way in the first place. Thus, Ashley was expelled from KEU on charges of awful misconduct; the first ever Falkirk to have not completed the school.
    • Stuck with a dead-end job as a "waste disposal specialist" (or a sewer worker), Ashley's resentment and self-loathing only grew more and more. He withdrew from the family life, which did little to help their opinion of her, and for a time it seemed that would be the end of things. Then she was invited to a party held on account of her younger brother graduating from KEU with flying colors, as the best ever Falkirk. She doesn't remember much from that event other than at some point... everything was fire.
    • The onlookers reported the Falkirk residence erupted in a ball of fiery death; suddenly lighting up like a roman candle. Fortunately, the blaze had nothing to spread to, as said residence stood elevated on a hill. Even still, the firefighters and water-based Heroes sent to deal with it found they could not actually extinguish the flames, only contain them and just barely. Nobody survived the inferno, and the victims were only identifiable via their singed teeth. The two bodies recovered belonged to Ashley - the perpetrator - and her older sister, just barely identifiable thanks to her water Gift.
    • Ashley did survive the inferno however, although the doctors gave him little chance. Officially, Ashley Falkirk died at the age of 21 after a four-day stay in the hospital. In reality, someone saw fit to recover this talent and harness it for their own gain. That someone was the CEO of Centurion Corporation, Anatoliy Kaminsky. In his private hospital, a new identity was forged for the unlucky survivor and new parameters have been established. With his patronage, Ashley set out to what she always wanted to do: become a hero and put his powers to a good use for once in her life.

Almost used Cherry again, but I really got on a roll with this girl so here you go:

  • Name (Civillian): Danielle Lincoln
  • Codename: Lady Asmodea
  • Age: 21
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: Danielle is rather tall and pale, even when not transformed into a demonic form, with pinkish-red hair and green slitted eyes. Outside of Hero TV, she dresses rather simply/conservatively, with jeans and shirts or dresses being a common part of her wardrobe
  • Sponsor: Arcadia Drink Company, a company that sells various drinks. Lady Asmodea is particularly used as the spokesperson for Diablo, Arcadia's line of energy drinks.
  • Gift: At its basic form, Lady Asmodea's Demon ability is a healing factor that means she bounces back from even the worst of injuries. She can even regrow limbs if need be (though as that requires the regeneration of the entire part rather than merely healing up, it often means it's at least a year before she's back in peak condition). When healing's not enough, as are often the case with Hero TV missions, she can easily transform into a bat-winged, horned, demonic-looking form. In this transformed state, she gains access to the Miracle Package of powers: flight, super-speed, super-strength and electric blasts.
  • Flaw: Lady Asmodea isn't actually a demon, but one couldn't be blamed for thinking so considering her flaw. Anything that can be considered holy or sacred to any religion is anathema to her gift: she can't step into a church or other place of worship while transformed, and if she's hurt by anything considered blessed or sacred to some religion, her healing factor won't kick in at all. In some cases, the wound area also ends up suffering severe burns, further complicating her recovery.
  • Other Skills: Back before she manifested her Gift, Danielle was quite the theater nut, and while she didn't really have the opportunity to win awards, she was really good at getting in-character, a skill that will serve her well on Hero TV. In addition, she's also had experience in hand-to-hand combat due to her training at KEU, and she's also decent at cooking. "Though please stop asking for Devil's Food Cake merely to make a joke. I've heard that plenty of times at KEU and it's getting old."
  • Other Equipment: Nothing really noticeable. Danielle typically sticks to her gifts and training in order to take out crooks.
  • Personality: Those who would expect Hero TV's new resident devil to be hedonistic off-screen will be disappointed to learn that it couldn't be farther from the truth. When she's not stopping crooks in her path, she's a practicing Christian, spending large portions of her time to help support her church. She's also been described as a kind, down-to-earth individual, and is eager to help out her fellow heroes if need be. Danielle is quite honored to be part of the starting lineup, but places high priority on helping out over rising up the ranks in Hero TV — "It'd be nice to be one of the A League members, sure, but that benefit should be a side benefit a job well done, not the end goal of one's career"
    • Persona: That being said, Danielle finds it quite fun to ramp up the whole demon thing as part of the keyfabe for Hero TV. From the quite revealing superhero costume to the seductive yet domineering front she's pulled thus far in interviews and the like, many would get the idea that she's quite excited to be playing a demon. And yet, few would claim that she is a villain, as she makes it absolutely certain in her actions that she is no ally to the wicked of New Hope.
  • Bio: Ironically enough, the demonic-in-ability Danielle Lincoln grew up with a father who was a devout Christian. She went to church every Sunday, prayed every night, abstained from sin, the whole nine yards. As a result, while her Gift's manifestation certainly helped when a group of gangsters tried to hurt her little brother, it also presented quite the crisis of faith for her. "I felt I was forsaken by God, marked for a sin that not even I knew I committed. It was Father Isaac who suggested that perhaps God gave me this gift because He wanted to see what I'd do with it... If it weren't for him, I don't know what sort of dark paths I'd take." Wanting to try and make a difference, Danielle would work her way to enter KEU, and then graduate as one of the top students in her class, resulting in an immediate Hero TV sponsorship from Arcadia Drink Company.

• Name (Civillian): Neil Erin Evans

• Codename: Flicker

• Age: 21

• Gender: Male

• Appearance: Neil is a fairly handsome individual standing at around 5’ 5”. He has short red hair with the tips died golden, and emerald green eyes. His face has hints of androgyny, and depending on how he does things could very easily look either handsome or cute. He has a slim, athletic build, and his fashion will range from simple street clothes to crossdressing gothic Lolita, and a fair bit in between. His left ear is pierced.

o Costume: Flicker has a fairly simple costume, consisting of a tight black sleeveless shirt, and figure hugging jeans tucked into long boots. He has a long golden scarf, and a black domino mask.

• Sponsor: Miraculous Media

• Gift: Phasing – Neil has the ability to become intangible for a maximum of one second. There is no limit to how many times in a row he can “flicker” in and out, and this allows him to either dodge repeatedly, or phase repeatedly at incredibly high intervals in order to effectively create a cutting edge using his own body or clothes.

• Flaw: Every time that Neil phases, he gets a larger and larger urge to sleep. Repeatedly phasing in a row will tire him out quickly, and so he must pace himself. This often leads to Neil either sleeping a lot, or downing large amounts of caffeine in order to counteract the sleepiness.

• Other Skills: Street brawling (not afraid to go for cheap shots), and general thievery. This extends to picking pockets, breaking and entering, stealth, et cetera.

• Other Equipment: A swiss army knife.

• Personality: Neil is a bit of a cynical sort, but good at heart. He is a tad but kleptomaniacal, but will generally try to give back anything he steals shortly after stealing it to help keep up appearances.

o Persona: Quipping Heroic flirt.

• Bio: Neil grew up on the streets of Low Town New Hope City, orphaned at a young age by a car accident. Bounced around a few times in the foster system, he never stayed in a home long due to his particular kleptomania. Eventually, he got tired of being tossed aside, and decided to live on the streets, stealing to make a living. He started small of course, picking pockets here and there, but eventually he discovered his gift, and the potential it gave him. He started getting more bold with his thievery, eventually breaking into houses and stealing things from there. He had never hurt anyone, but by all means he seemed set down the path of villainy. That is, until Neil got a bit too bold. He decided he would try to score big, and try to break into the house of the big man on New Hope: Matthew Evans. He made sure to know when the man was out, after all, no scrawny 18 year old could take the Legendary Wrath, even if the old coot was retired for so long. And when he was, Neil made his move, infiltrating the house just like any other. Sure enough there was plenty to steal, and Neil had a field day. So busy was he thinking of the pay dirt he was going to score, that he didn’t notice Matthew Evans returning home early. At least, not until he bumped into the man himself, watching Neil steal his stuff. However all was not lost for young Neil, for Matthew Evans graciously extended an offer to him. Go to prison for the numerous counts of thievery that he had committed, or, use his powers to become a Hero. Neil grudgingly accepted, figuring it was better than prison, and just recently, he was even adopted by old man Wrath, officially being given a home and a new family.

Still working on two alternate options/sheets. Depending on what's most preferred for either flavor or not too broken, I'll go with that.

  • Name (Civillian): Maximilian Rivers
  • Codename: The Multi-Task Master, MASTER Max, MIMIC.
  • Age: 24
  • Gender: Male.
  • Appearance: Close enough. I'm still looking.
  • Costume: BELTS.
  • Sponsor: Cerberus Emporium 'Gateway...to Bargains and Great Prices!' A chain of supermarkets that seemed to spring up overnight, having a reputation for having all sorts of equipment and odds and ends on sale, almost undercutting the competition and with some customers eerily managing to find something they didn't even know they wanted until they found it. The CEO in charge of it rarely shows himself in public, but was more than happy to sponsor 'Max', finding his general demeanor and attitude amusing.
  • Gift: Synchronize. Okay, this is going to be a rather large section or at the very least, it WILL be very soon. To put it simply, Max creates a very subtle 'link' between him and his 'target', something they won't really be aware of as there's no real negative repercussions on their ability. Either way, their Gift leaves an imprint on his own and allowing him to create a sort of copy of that ability OR if it's something he can't quite replicate, one of their innate skills. For example...
    • Heart of Fire: By synchronizing with 'Ash', Max gains the ability to heat up and accelerate the cells in his body, making him move faster and while he can't create fire, his spike in body and boiling blood meaning anyone stupid enough to either grapple him or leave a bleeding wound is likely to suffer a scalding counter attack. The flaw of using this ability however is of course Max 'burning out', leaving him out of breath and having to deal with mild to moderate burns.
    • Return to Sender...?: Gained by linking with Flicker. Creating a small 'void/phase-field', any nearby projectiles such as bullets simply seem to vanish...before reappearing behind his intended target, still traveling at their current velocity. Using such an ability however can cause his own attacks to simply phase out and harmlessly pass through the opponent as his body and any weapon he's using is 'unstable' meaning what hits land will hurt a lot more.
    • Sharpened Senses: Obtained after making a link with Pantharea. A far more subtle effect, improving his eye-sight, hearing, reflexes and being able to land/survive jumps/falls. The flaw is relatively light, with his enhanced senses being a bit too much, meaning shouting at him or explosions could render him temporarily deaf, for example.
    • Puncturing Punches: Synchronizing with Crackdown is another passive sort of power. In this case and like the name implies, his punches manage to not only hit with a bit more force, they seem to disable or at least slow down the victim's Healing Factor if they possess such a super power. Of course, such a drawback means he's far more vulnerable to harm as he suffers from a temporary case of hemophilia.
    • Metallix: Max reluctantly gets this 'power' by syncing up with Miss Machina. To put it simply, he's able to manipulate metal he's in contact with in a very limited way. For the most part it's simply changing it's size, density and shape. For example, if he was in a cage with iron bars, he'd be able to make them bend or shrink and snap like twigs with very little effort. Unfortunately, the drawback is constantly having to be 'charged' with static electricity and getting a nasty shock when making contact with nearly anything.
    • War of Words: Linking up with Inferno Guitaurus allows Max to have his words take physical form, either in speech bubbles of various shapes depending on the expression/intention behind his words or simple shockwaves. Either way, it tends to have multiple uses, between shouting at bullets telling them to literally stop in their tracks, for example. However, using this will leave actually mute both during and for a good while after using this ability as while his speech bubbles and literally barbed words take physical/shock wave form, there's no audio.
    • Dragon Force: 'Borrowing' the Dragon Queen's power grants Max a very simplistic ability. Swinging his arms creates ghostly draconic claws that sweep through the air to harmlessly send opponents flying if they're hit or simply punch the ground and causing a blast around him to get a similar result along with causing debris to go flying for extra damage. Using such raw power has it's drawbacks as it quickly tires Max out, making him suffering a case of torpor and making his reaction and movement speed reduced to half, if not a bit more once he's tapped out.
    • Flash/Shade/Haze: Eagerly gained by taking Denki Gal's power. A rather simplistic power that's fairly versatile with what version he chooses to use causing a slightly different effect with each only lasting for about 15 seconds. Haze makes him transparent or simply an 'outline', a sort of pseudo invisibility that can throw off an opponent, but is still quite visible. Shade creates a 'barrier' of Ice around him and his allies reducing damage they take, while Flash affects ONLY him but create a stronger aura that cuts down damage to a ridiculous degree. The flaw for each seems to be similar, with Flash making him unable to swim, Haze making him suffering a terrible reaction to plants (including grass) and Shade making him quite weak to anything related to fire or heat.
    • Time Lag.: Having no issue with 'copying' Eon's power, it apparently seems as if there's no noticeable effect with Max. In reality, this only takes effect when he manages to actually hit/inflict damage on something. If he wishes, he can simply delay the damage or effect for up to a minute before it all 'catches up' with the victim. Of course, it goes both ways as while it takes some delay before he's injured, it hits him a lot harder.
    • The Floor Is Jelly.: Taken from the Emerald Dragon, confusingly. Unlike him, he's not able to create slime to shape into whatever form he wishes. However, if he wishes, any surface or object he can physically touch, including himself if he chooses, temporarily has it's molecular structure changed into that akin to jelly/goo with the former being rather bouncy meaning it can be used to cushion a fall, work as a trampoline, mess with people by making it nigh impossible to stand upright on the jiggly surface or make a organic life-form make bullets and blades harmlessly bounce off...while the latter is rather sticky, being used to keep people in place (such as staying suspended on a wall) and being able to climb surfaces. On the downside however, the change only lasts for two minutes and being exposed to cold temperatures regardless if he's a jelly/goo-person or not can cause him become rather sluggish or even actually freeze solid.
    • Hellish Healing: Blatantly taken from Asmodea. Max gains the ability to heal either himself or an ally's wounds at a moderate rate OR use the side-effect on a 'perfectly healthy' enemy. The side-effect being that such healing is mildly painful and having no injuries causes the pain to become several magnitudes worse. The other main drawback for Max is that his own injuries take longer to heal once the effects of the Gift wear off or he decides to Synchronize with someone else.
    • Sunglare.: Rather disappointingly stolen from Solaris. To put it simply, Max can manipulate and intensify the brightness of light along with passively radiating it around him. Unfortunately, the practical uses at this point aren't really much beyond blinding an enemy or giving them REALLY bad sunburn and ironically, the drawback when he cancels out the stolen gift is he becomes rather sensitive to light and temporarily blinded if it's particularly bright. ...He's also not really happy that he'd be a potential back-up 'battery' for a certain hero in overcast weather, either.
    • Erosion => The Last Straw.: By emulating Gamble's power, Max doesn't gain the ability to see or detect weak points but he still needs to deliver focused and somewhat precise attacks which annoyingly takes time. On the flip-side, landing one of those attacks tends to cripple his opponent in some very minor way which can be repeated four more times. If the opponent's still standing and they've taken all five attacks, the next one WILL cause a Non-Lethal K.O. although while he's doing this, he has a tendency to 'seize up' and be wide open.
    • And Today's Forecast...PAIN.: While SOMEONE is still unsure on whether to go with this 'Gift' borrowed from Fluffy. At the moment, it's sort of a different way of using his link where anything that effects him has it lash back onto his target, usually using electricity. Of course, the drawback of this is if he's healed or gains any positive 'buffs', his target gains a more potent boost.
    • Resonance => Full Helix: Eventually figured out by copying Paragon. Pushing his Gift, Max is able to Synchronize with two/three people instead of just one, gaining the usual benefits of doing so as well as suffering the aforementioned Flaws. As you might except, this taxes him considerably and is prone to horrible headaches. If he's really desperate, Max can push himself to his limits and Synchronize with EVERYONE in a nearby radius for a significant boost of power...although doing so throws him into a berserker rage going after anyone who can fight which lasts from anywhere between one to three minutes before he 'cools off' and remains in a daze for another minute or two, unable to do ANYTHING.
  • Flaw: As one might expect from being able to copy other people's abilities, while he's unable to copy their powers perfectly, he still suffers certain drawbacks from using them and while training and constantly using it can mitigate it to a degree...well, the second half and his baseline flaw is that his ability to learn/pick up skills on his own is remarkably difficult, requiring constant repetition to make it 'stick'. And while it wasn't mentioned above, while he's synchronized, any wounds or ailments his partner is dealt, he suffers the same amount of damage...thankfully for his 'partner(s)'/links, they're not affected if HE'S the one getting injured. Probably.

  • Other Skills: See above. Aside from the most basic combat skills on how to use his weapons and equipment, Max simply tries to make do by borrowing someone else's talents to try and do the job.
  • Other Equipment: Max goes into a battle situation with a mostly versatile kit to make the most of whatever 'partner' he might be stuck with. Between a sawed-off shotgun and some knuckle dusters to simply pummel his opponent the good old fashioned way. What he lacks in finesse he makes up for with force.
  • Personality: For someone who's Gift is all about 'borrowing' and relying on other people, Max isn't exactly the sort of person who believes in being all 'buddy-buddy' with people and looks down on those who think 'hard work' means anything. Foul-mouthed, snarky and easily irritated, Max at least has some degree of patience that he won't immediately give the 'headache' a punch to send them to the floor. Of course, he isn't unaware that while his Gift lets him be anyone he wants, Max is grappling with the fact he's insecure on what exactly he's capable of doing and being unable to make his own 'impact' on the world and simply being remembered for being a 'copy-cat'.

  • Persona: A bit of a smart-ass and smug, Max doesn't hesitate in trash-talking and taunting those considered 'villains'. While he's certainly confident and most of his general attitude shines through, he tends to be more competitive and tries to 'one-up' someone else when they're showboating or simply deciding to show them how things are done.
  • Bio: Born in a middle class family of no acclaim and simply another 'ordinary' along with countless others in this day and age, Max had to contend with an aloof older brother and the eldest being...far more considerate and supportive to the point he was practically ignored by those younger than him...his family life was amusing but nothing really of note happened.

    • Growing up, he made few, if any friends as his rather passive attitude and simply following along with the crowd, usually getting into trouble when he managed to mimic people who either showed off or that he simply disliked. His academic achievements weren't noteworthy, being no less than average, if a little below that benchmark as he seemed to struggle despite his efforts and urging from his parents.

    • Although with his uncanny ability to do well in competitive sports and almost matching the talents of well-known athletes, he stood out even more in team-based ones. Many considered him a prodigy as he seemed to be capable of playing any role, something the youth was content with as he had someplace to belong.

    • After controversy and accusations started flying around about Max's lack of talent when it gradually became apparent that he was nothing on his own, with such things as being called a 'parasite' or a 'wanna-be who'd amount to nothing', he eventually threw up his hands when his own team joined the rest of people calling him out and left, making the young man disillusioned with the notions of team-work and cooperation and making his ideal of making a name for himself in tatters.

    • Eventually getting into an argument with a Cerberus Emporium employee for stealing something when he wasn't responsible, the CEO was called in, intent on judging for himself and goading the young man to settle things with their fists, somewhat bemused by Max managing to match his punches and pace before calling it off and deciding to offer a compromise.

...Sponsorship for Hero TV. Something he grudgingly accepted.

Um, well, second out of three.

  • Name (Civilian): 'Doc' Kinglet
  • Codename: Crystallux.
  • Age: Twenty...something.
  • Gender: Male.
  • Appearance: ...Still looking for an alternative. And minus the scar. Not literally monochromic, he has light brown hair and green eyes. Stands at about 5'5.
  • Costume: ...Well, here's the thing, he practically IS his own costume considering how much his physical appearance changes and ends up looking like someone else. The only real difference in attire would probably be a surprisingly durable, if slightly tattered laboratory coat and not wearing the glove/gauntlet which is replaced by a mostly crystallized left arm and clawed hand.
  • Sponsor: Infernal Emporium.
  • Gift: Crystallized Knowledge. To put it simply, Crystallux is capable of creating and manipulating crystals out of thin air and manipulate them however he wishes. The applications with such an ability are a lot more varied than one would expect, from being able to use it defensively by creating a barrier of crystals or encasing a wound to keep it in a sort of 'stasis' until he can treat it properly, to utility such as creating platforms, reflecting light into someone's eyes, cutting through ropes or simply throwing them at his opponents.
  • Flaw: Compared to most people with their Gifts, his mutation is far more noticeable and only really kept in check with medication and his glove/gauntlet. As you might have grasped from his 'costume', the transformation is somewhat painful and accelerates the mutation a bit every time he seems to fall asleep or 'awaken' as Crystallux puts it. As such, 'Doc' recalls next to nothing every time he changes into his persona and his memories become...scrambled for a while, suffering a temporary lapse of amnesia until he eventually manages to piece things back together. Depending on how much he used his Gift, it can vary from half a day to a week, if not much longer.
  • Other Skills: As his name might imply, 'Doc' is well versed in medicine and actually has several qualifications meaning while he isn't in his Crystallux persona, he's still useful as a medic and patching people up.
  • Other Equipment: 'Miraculous' Medical Kit: Fancy name aside, this simple metallic box contains quite a lot, from 100 meters worth of bandages, gloves, biotic thread for suturing, splints for broken limbs...if there's a medical emergency that happens, this box likely has the means to make it much less fatal.
    • L.I.V.E Glove/Gauntlet: Lightweight/Limb Interventional Virus Eradicator. This piece of technology is a metallic glove that covers most of 'Doc's arm, something he designed himself. Much like the name implies, it acts as a supplement to his immune system, making him highly resistant to poisons and ailments. Made from a metallic alloy as sturdy as titanium, yet as light as tin, this gauntlet is something that he's been wearing for several years to keep his mutation in check. Removing it almost immediately triggers his transformation into Crystallux.
  • Personality: 'Doc'...is a little bit of a space-case, probably thanks to his Flaw. That's not to say he can't be serious either. Overall he's friendly, polite and puts his patients and other people before himself, trying to avoid harming others if at all possible.
  • Persona: Crystallux is rather subdued and stoic despite being more 'aware/awake' of everything going on in comparison to his slightly spacey and occasionally oblivious identity. That isn't to say he's broody or anti-heroic as his dedication to justice protecting the innocent shines through, being no less self-sacrificing and determined to do the right thing than his usual self.
  • Bio: Getting there. >.<

Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day.

Last one.

  • Name (Civillian): Joe Annetts.
  • Codename: TK-Krusher. Mind over Matter.
  • Age: 19.
  • Gender: Male.
  • Appearance: Mmmhm.
  • Costume: This. ...Or that.
  • Sponsor: Eternia Energy.
  • Gift: Psychokinesis or as most people would call it, telekinesis. While one would simply assume it's lifting and moving physical matter, Joe is quite capable of doing more than just that. Being able to 'hold' people in place with telekinetic force is probably the only 'cooperative' use he has for it, though. Otherwise it's repelling bullets with a 'bubble' of telekinetic force or hurling people trying to close into melee. He's obviously annoyed he can't use it to it's full potential with the 'rules' of Hero TV but being able to use what he can and well, is a fact he's proud of.
  • Flaw: To say that would be a glass cannon would be understating how frail the young man. Simply getting punched is enough to cause considerable harm meaning things higher up on the scale could leave him in a terrible condition. Along with much he has to rely on his Gift for a lot of day-to-day tasks, it's clear he'd be rather helpless without it. While he's refusing to divulge the exact details of his flaws, his startlingly thin and lack of muscle along with pale skin make some assume some it's some form of atrophy.
  • Other Skills: Really good at mathematics, operating machinery and being a rather good artist.
  • Other Equipment: Considering how versatile his Gift is and how anything like 'armor' would be a hindrance. ...Considering the 'non-lethal' sort of rules Hero TV has in place, he carry a small box of knives but rather something decidedly less lethal, like a bag of dust to hurl at his opponents, either to directly obscure their vision or make it 'explode' and create a small storm of dirt to make things harder for a group.
  • Personality: Beneath the quiet and frail looking exterior is a rather caustic and passive-aggressive young man who hates being pitied or looked down because of his physical shortcomings and more than happy to show someone mocking him for being 'weak' how mistaken they are, either by more subtle means or simply lashing out in some creative manner. Gaining any semblance of 'trust' from the teenager is a difficult task.
  • Persona: There's a very thin line between the 'character' and the 'actor'. His usual demeanor is seeing the criminals as insignificant ants and happy to have something to crush, barely pulling his punches to remind the villains their beat-down even moreso if they're stupid enough to push the obvious 'weak' or 'just a kid' button making some consider him a bratty kid anti-hero.
  • Bio:

Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day.

  • Name (Civillian): Basilio Bove. (Usually referred to as Bas.)
  • Codename: Inferno Guitaurus
  • Age: 27
  • Gender: Male
  • Appearance:The tall guy on the right.
  • Costume: Guitaurus is dressed in a black leather jacket, a red shirt with fiery logo on it◊ with the word Guitaurus imprented above it in a fire font, below he worewhite jeans with a stylized trail of flames going from the start to the botton.
  • Sponsor: Gibson Fender: A guitar manufacturing and selling company sponsors Guitaurus and uses him to promote their products as much as they can. Basically deciding parts of his personality and managing him with with what is basically a slave contract in all but name.
  • Gift: Guitaurus generates fire when he plays guitar, the sonic waves he makes when playing an instrument (this includes anything but vocals) creating a combustion in the air around it, making it so he when he plays musical instruments fire streams out in either a focused or chaotic manner, he can control its output and direction though he has to spend a lot of energy in order to fully control its focus and power due to the gift only manifesting very recently. with his gift manifesting had his body change, his head turned into the head of a large bull, his height grew from 1.8 meters to 2.5 most of his muscles became covered with a thin layer of fur, his feet turned into hooves and his hands now had big stumpy fingers which did not lend themselves well to playing most musical instruments, even drums were hard to play, in fact he only discovered his power as soon as he did because the transformation came after the discovery first happened and took a few months before his metamorphosis was fully complete.
  • Flaw:
    • Guitaurus's powers are weaker the further his flames are from the first layer of sand/rock or earth in Basilio's vicinity. Their heat and abilty to set things on fire becomes weaker the higher they are, and the amount of time they burn becomes shorter.

    • Basilio even for his huge body mass gets weaker the higher due to the thin amount of oxygen in the air, and his body gets used to the low oxygen at a much much slower rate than most people, and using his powers tires him out much quicker in very high places.
  • Other Skills:
    • Since his childhood Basil was tutored to play Bass guitar, and he is capable of playing incredibly complex solos with ease even after his transformation. He can keep on playing solo for very long, his record time before turning into a minotaur was 40 minutes with no breaks.
    • As a child Bove learned acrobatics, and despite his large body he is still very flexible, still retaining most of the skills he had as a normal human he can still do those acrobatic and avoid obstacles fairly well even with his size.
    • Due to his mutated big body Guitaurist is much stronger than your average human though lower than someone with a superstrength Gift.
  • Other Equipment:
    • A huge Custom Made Electric Four String Bass Guitar◊ (imagine the picture with only 4 strings) made for him by his sponsor so he could play with his stumpy fingers on a string instrument. The strings are very thick and big. Giving the bass a very unique low sound.
    • A good luck charm he carries inside his costume or in his pockets while a civilian..
    • A portable small but incredibly sturdy amplifying system for the bass. No bigger than an average Ipad. Needed to make his Bass sound right in fights.
    • He was given gear that he can wear to block his Gift abilities tremendously, letting him practice playing guitar safely without flaming the entire building he's practicing in.
  • Personality: Bas is a happy outgoing person most of the time, but he takes thing to heart that he probably shouldn't and from that has a bit of an anger issue, it usually only comes to shouting and not violence, outside of his costume Basil is very social when it comes to talking, very oftenly cracking jokes but physically he is very reserved, usually only giving handshakes to people he knows well and closer physical contact like hugs to even less people.
  • Persona: Inside the costume Bas transforms into a hammy, proud and larger than life punk, emulating a wrestler and a rock-star. Talking as if there's an audience listening even when there isn't, he's a loud fighter often challenging to beat his foes in only a few seconds.
  • Bio: Basil was just a normal bratty New York teenager, he had a decent family, average grades and few problems for his life, he was inspired by his mother who was a musician to be a guitarist, Taking classes and practicing endlessly since early childhood. Eventually trying to make a high school band with his friends, dreaming of being punk rocker one day. Once he graduated he tried to start it as an actual career and making his dream a reality, creating a debut album and giving live performances until around the age of 21 his gift started to show, and whenever he played there would be small sparks in the room, his body started to change, and after a while, he turned into a full on minotaur-like creature, if playing without fire wasn't enough now his fingers were too big to play his instrument. His life-long dream ruined seemingly out of nowhere, he quickly slipped into depression. Managing to scrape by freelancing, getting an odd job here and there for 2 years before being scouted by KEU, who promised to get him a way to fight as a superhero and play guitar again. Seeing it as the last place where he can still practice music he accepted and began his first year at the university at the age of 23 with hopes of making it big in the Superhero business. After 4 years training in the academy, honing his stage personality and skills Bas is finally ready to perform on the wide stage of the hero world auditorium and project his music into the world once more.

  • Name (Civillian): Alicia Sanderssen
  • Codename: Herensuge the Dragon Queen
  • Age: 27
  • Gender: F
  • Appearance: in the future, both cat accessories and Rihanna will be make a comeback. Alicia is about 5’7. She has a gold tongue stud and bellybutton piercing. Jokes about having two more somewhere else but won’t say where (so, actually, several other parts of her body are pierced but doesn’t put things into them hardly ever).
    • Costume: Alicia wears special armor when she is officially “on duty” as Herensuge, a silver dragon-shaped helmet and chestpiece over an otherwise black bodysuit. When she transforms most of the suit inevitably gets shredded, but the plating of the helmet and chestpiece are comprised of enough individual plates that they can slide apart to stay on. There are holes in the back to let the wings come out of her shoulders, and right above there, at the top of her spine, is a serifed H with a pair of wings coming out the top.
  • Sponsor: The Estate of her parents, essentially; while they aren’t dead, they mostly just manage investments and do cute Retired Couple Things out of the public eye and fund Alicia. She occasionally promotes random products or real estate that they invest in, but no major demands.
  • Gift: Alicia can turn into a smallish ten-foot tall quadrupedal European dragon. She’s about 400 pounds in this form, with sharp claws and powerful limbs; she ballparks her arms at their strongest as able to lift a truck and shred that same truck’s frame. Her jaws are even stronger and can actually penetrate and tear at concrete at their strongest. Her wings are functional, and can carry her through the air at a leisurely speed.
  • Flaw: Gold. Alicia loves it like nothing else; touching it is like a high to her, and not having at least a little touching her at all times is actively uncomfortable for her. The concrete promise of gold can make her do basically anything.
  • Other Skills:
    • Alicia doesn’t know a martial art, but she has watched and fought with all the animals that her dragon form vaguely resembles—monitor lizards, tigers, rhinos, alligators, she is as trained at moving and balancing her body as best she can given nobody else is quite like her.
    • Alicia drums as a hobby, and she’s pretty good at keeping a steady beat and improvising if necessary.
    • Alicia’s done multiple social media internships and is skilled at managing not only social media and publishing software but also the actual content side of brand management and promotion.
  • Other Equipment:
    • A set of those vacuum bags that let you pack clothes real tight so that she can keep a spare change of clothes in her purse or whatever
    • A really good, tough smartphone capable of surviving bullets and staying in working order
    • A scrapbook of photos from her parents’ prime, along with a ton of their merch and a pair of exclusive figurines of them
  • Personality: Alicia thinks that if she isn’t already basically invincible, she probably should be soon. She believes that people with Gifts should have as much liberty as possible; she thinks that humanity as a whole can only prosper if everyone is allowed to reach their maximum potential, and even to surpass their weaknesses. She hates her own flaw, but she tries to own it too and not let people get to her with it. She believes that the weak—those both without powers and just with weak gifts—are hers and others to protect, but that weak people should in turn respect someone like her.
  • Persona: Alicia likes to play at being a youthful successor type. Plays up the wildness of the Dragon “inside her” or whatever, how its greed and rage make her “wild” and how she has to live up to her parents while controlling the Beast Within!
  • Bio: Alicia’s parents are both people that she believes were held back and ultimately retired from pro hero-ing because of their Flaw, and from a young age this hung over her. Her father was the mysterious illusionist Oberon the Fairy King, and her mother was the brash and demonic Lilith the Demon Queen. They never fully recovered from a scuffle against a double-barrel shotgun filled with a combination of cold iron and sanctified salt, though, and settled down to have Alicia shortly after the incident. She grew up not in their shadow, but in the shadow of who they used to be; famous heroes would come around regularly to catch up on old times, but Alicia always knew her parents missed that life. For her count though she had strong parents that gave her a strong Gift; she knew of her weakness for gold, but she also knew that as a big gnarly dragon she might even be set to surpass her parents. Alicia excelled in school thanks to her Gift’s power, and quickly established a brand in amateur circles as a big nasty fighter with a soft edge. She wanted to become a pro hero to potentially surpass Flaws—to find a way to just fucking... pump enough money into startups and research projects to eventually make it so that the strong people could be ‘’actually’’ strong and not be held back by anything.

I'm baaaaaaaack~

So...Vel 2.0? ...naaaaaaah. I got something similar but bettah.

Name: Asakusa Momorin, or "Momo" for short.
Codename: Currently Denki Girl, also answers to Hothead or Ice Queen, but those are way old.
Age:23
Gender:Yes please. Wait wrong term. She's Female.
Appearance: Caught her on a good day
Costume:Very much a yellow maid outfit, long blond wig tied into twintails, yellow eyes, a larger bust from padding, and a lightning motif visor.
Sponsor:The mangaka (who is also her cousin), Kishima Kazuma, better know as KK online. Creator of the "Denki Girl" manga, which Momorin is based off of. KK also acts as Momorin's Man in the Chair.
Gift:Momo can control and switch between three elemental types: Ice, Fire, and Lightning. Each has an effect on how she acts and changes her eye color, depending on the form. Only one form may be active at a time and it takes energy to produce these elements from her.

  • Ice Form: This is Momo's "default" form, being the one she always returns to, her eyes are blue here. Calm, collected, if a bit pessimistic, Ice!Momo is a bit of a bookish, almost shut-in, type of girl, preferring to contemplate situations and drink beer over actual fighting.
  • Fire Form:Momorin's eyes take on a burning red. Fire form gives her an explosive temper, with little to no self regard for herself. The complete opposite of Ice Form. Easily the most unstable of the three.
  • Lightning Form:This is Momo's "hero" state, the one she'll do all her work as Denki Girl in, eyes are golden in color. Quick thinking, more agile, and overall more optimistic.
Flaw:Other than only being able to control one Form at a time, Momo's control can be made unstable through overuse, or in times of extreme emotion. Wouldn't be too far to say a few things were burned by her temper, literally. She also is physically weaker outside of her fire form's ferocity. If focused, she can be taken down instantly. And if you fizzle out her glasses/visor, she's as blind as a bat.
Other Skills:Momorin, notably in Ice Form, can lowkey hack basic computers.
Other Equipment:Special glasses that interface with the chips in her eyes that allow her to see. Can be used to zoom in too.
Personality:Depends on her Form. See "gift"
  • Persona:Denki Girl, on the other hand, takes Lightning Form's pep and optimism Up To Eleven, always switched on, almost hyper and ditzy. Denki Girl is Genki Girl.
Bio:Asakusa Momorin was born to parents Mai and Tetsuo, the former having the Gift of Flight, and the latter being Giftless. She had a normal childhood, hearing stories of different heroes, but never quite wanting to be one. When her gift awakened, it struck her blind, and in a fit of emotion, she accidentally set her family home on fire. Her father was trapped inside, and remained in a hospital for 3 years. And 2 years after that, Mai sent her daughter to New Hope, in hopes that she could learn to better control her Gift. She set her up to stay with a distant cousin, Kazuma, who had recently moved to New Hope to be inspired for his manga series.

It didn't take long for Momorin to tire of school life, and she dropped the KEU life after 3 years, living peacefully with her cousin. It was in fact Kazuma, who Momo would describe as "a genius with tech...but an idiot with everything else", who designed her glasses and the chips in her eyes to go with them. And upon seeing her Lightning Form, thought of only one thing. Denki Girl. Momorin didn't like the idea of basically cosplaying her cousin's character, but soon decided she needed to get out and earn money somehow...and then it didn't take long for Denki Girl to be rolling in fans.

Hope ya like her~

  • Name: Lazarus Mendez
  • Codename: Eon
  • Age: 25
  • Gender: Male
  • Appearance: Laz is a tall, shapely Hispanic young man with short black hair and slightly sunken eyes. He usually wears long sleeved shirts to hide the gang tattoos that he's frankly ashamed of and tends to wear a cross around his neck in a tribute to his mother instead of any religious beliefs. He's got scars on his shoulder and particularly on his knuckles.
  • Costume: Eon wears a skintight set of armor, covering his legs, torso and arms in what looks like blood red muscle. He wears a paperwhite boots that go down from his armor and gauntlets that cover his forearms. His head, neck and ribs are covered in similarly white armor, with a red Y on his helmet to allow him to see. EON is spelled in bold, black letters on his back.
  • Sponsor: Exo Over Nanite, a private military corporation dedicated to the creation of high-tech suits and nanotechnology.
  • Gift: Time Distortion Laz can slow down his perception of time by up to fifty percent, giving him greatly increased
  • Flaw: Laz needs to be traveling at speeds of twenty miles per hour or higher to activate his gift. This does not work in car, only when it's him. In other words, the only other time he can use his quirk is falling to his deathh.
  • Other Skills:
    • MMA mixed with street fighting skills.
    • Good Cook
    • Parkour
MMA
  • Skilled runner in high school
  • Parkour
  • Used to play Football.
  • Other Equipment:
    • THE EON SUIT-a prototype power armor meant for military use that was captured and about to be sold on the black market before Laz stumbled across it and stole it.
      • Super-Speed:Eon is capable of reaching speed up to seventy MPH and up to 100MPH if he sprints, though he has trouble stopping and will usually end up skidding and tumbling at that speed. When he goes above 40MPH. If Laz wishes, the suit will also produce an energy shield as a friction guard.
      • Super Strength: Eon can bench press approximately two tons.
      • Energy shields: Eon's suit has an energy shield which allows him to automatically deflect bullets, furthermore he can form the shield again by cross his arms. This can deflect strikes by super-powered individuals and can stop a semi-truck going fifty MPH.
      • Auto-heal: While inside the suit, Laz's metabolism increased to superhuman levels, allowing healing of stab wounds in an hour as it, as Laz puts it, 'welds his flesh back together'. Though it took two days to cure him of his addiction.
      • Liquid Form: The suit can shift to other forms, though Laz usually turns it into a letterman jacket. It has all the abilities and protection of a standard piece of clothing when it is in this form. Typically in a red-undershirt.
  • Personality: Laz is a bit of a dick and a bully to those he doesn't know, though this is mainly to cover his own insecurity about the fact he doesn't actually have a gift though if you tend to leave him alone, he'll simply keep his head down and maybe snark but he generally just keeps to himself. He goes to the gym, works at a soup kitchen then goes home in a shitty apartment. This is a day in the life for him.
  • Persona: Eon, does not give a shit. He's crass, sarcastic and never shuts up. This is at odds with his brutal, quick fighting style but it does put on a good show. He doesn't give interviews, but he's trusted immensely by the people. There have been stories of Eon sitting on a rooftop with someone who almost jumped, or just helping cats out of trees.
Bio: James Krelmer was a master scientist, and the former hero known as Dreadnaught. James retired eventually and started his own weapon development that came known as Exo Over Nanites, or EON for short. Inspired by the idea that anyone could be a hero with the right amount of tech, James set about first making prosthetic before he was approached by the military and asked to build a suit that could be used for troops, presenting a Navy SEAL as the man who would carry out the mission. Until, finally, it was ready for use.

Unfortunately, it was stolen by an ex-drug addict and former gang banger named Lazarus Mendez and used it to become a vigilante. Aghast and humiliated, Dreadnaught fought Lazarus who had taken the name of Fenix Despite Eon's superior technology and Laz's athletic ability, the aging Dreadnaught decided togive Lazarus the offer of a second shot; serve EON as the official mascot, and he can continue to fight against evil and injustice. If he disobeys, however? His family will be sued for everything they could, and against a massive corporation like EON? They're doomed to fail.

Good to be back

Name (Civillian): Martin Snow

Codename: Paragon

Age: 18

Gender: M

Appearance: Tall and lean with a mess of black hair atop his head. When not in his costume he can be found with a button up shirt tucked into brown slacks. An ugly burn scar covers most of his right cheek and lower jaw. It is fully healed but looks quite bad.

Costume: A red and blue full body suit with a cape over his shoulders.

Sponsor: Due to his ability not needing any special bells and whistles Paragon is sponsored by a number of charities that he wears across his costume with pride.

Gift: A atypical strengthening Gift that slowly raises the capacity of his body without changing mass or density. His bodies current limit is at a theoretical 50% of his gift's maximum capacity.

Flaw: Martin cannot activate his gift on a whim, rather it seems to be tied directly to a chemical that is released into his body when under certain mood conditions. These exact set of conditions seemed tied to him performing 'heroic' activities. In addition as his strength rises it puts an incredible strain on his body as it doesn't adjust well to the added levels of power. His ability is almost like a muscle, and overuse of it will cause Martin to fall into a 10 hour rest cycle so his body can flush the chemical from his system and return him to working order.

Other Skills: Skilled martial artist, Intermediate medical skills, calming voice.

Other Equipment: First aid kit worn on his side, handcuffs and rope.

Personality: Kind and gentle despite his power Martin is the kind of guy who can get along with almost everyone. His forgiving nature and positive outlook can make him come across as naive to some, but despite that he continues to give all he can for the world at large. His moto in life is 'do for others'.

Bio: Martin had an average childhood, not filled with loss or any particular bad events. In fact he was about as middle of the road as one could come, until one day where he happened to pass a baby bird that had fallen from its nest. Without a thought he lifted the small animal back into its nest, only to discover that the act had brought forth a rush of strength such that he had never felt before. In his surprise he accidentally bumped into a street lamp and knocked it into the road, which was thankfully empty at the time.

Armed with the knowledge of these new abilities he set about testing them, feeling out his power and using it to help others. Pulling cats from trees, helping pull jammed cars to the auto shop, and diving into burning buildings before the proper authorities could arrive. Doing so left him with a still scaring burn on the right side of his face after realizing that there were more people in the building then he realized, but he wears it with pride. Deciding that his powers were meant to bring a message of hope and justice to the world he adopted the identity of Paragon, joining hero t.v. and hoping his example could set a path for future generations to walk.

  • Name (Civilian): Soma Porter
  • Codename: Emerald Dragon
  • Age: 22
  • Gender: Male
  • Appearance: Slightly tall Caucasian, short unstyled dark green hair, blue eyes and notably green scales covering his neck and back, his shoulders and outer arm to the back of his hands, outer thighs to the entirety of his lower legs and clawed feet and most notably a flexible lizard like tail. Soma typically dresses casually in T-shirts and hoodies with characters from various anime and cartoons, jeans or shorts and sandals.
  • Costume: Playing up his mutations, the Emerald Dragon costume consists of a blue goggled cowl and Kevlar reinforced shortsleeve top and shorts patterned to emulate his scales, an added dark green vest carries a silver Shining Seas logo and provides pockets in addition to hidden compartments in the costume's arms and legs for carrying gel for forming into armor.
  • Sponsor: Shining Seas Entertainment, a primarily online distributor of anime, manga, and related goods.
  • Gift: "Liquid Emerald" Soma can produce a dense, slightly shiny emerald green gelatinous substance from openings in his palms. Once made it can be manipulated directly or remotely like an amorphous extension of Soma's body or solidified into nearly any shape imaginable. When solid, the gel is is roughly as strong as steel for it's size and shape. Soma doesn't require line of sight to exert control, but he has to remain within a certain range and without some way to observe he'd be left with only a rudimentary sense of touch to tell what he's interacting with.
  • Flaw: Focus: It takes some concentration to actively manipulate gel, controlling too much at once will slow his own movements unless he leaves the gel in a liquid or solid state to focus on himself. At the extreme Soma is forced to remain immobile while he focuses on his gift.
    • High metabolism: Gel creation is fueled by Soma's metabolic energy, the more he's been eating over the past 24 hours, the more gel he can make in a day. This also means making a lot of gel in the heat of battle will cause him to tire easier. Snacking in the field can help, but eating immediately before producing gel will make him nauseous.
    • Time Limit: Regardless of the state it was left in, roughly 72 hours after creation Soma's gel will crumble into a pale, useless powder.
  • Other Skills: Martial arts training, focusing on grapples and take downs.
    • Art. Since practicing with his gift Soma has started to lean more towards 3D animation but he's still fairly good at drawing.
    • Sewing, mostly for adjusting clothes to work with his tail before he had a sponsor.
  • Other Equipment:
    • Goggles: More than eye protection, the goggles built into the Emerald Dragon costume include night vision and heat sensing functions.
    • Com unit: Also built into the suit is a com unit, controlled by a bracelet, for 'business' calls and receiving alerts about criminal activity.
  • Personality: Soma is somewhat laid back and reserved and very much tries to pass himself off as an average nerdy guy who happens to have an uncommon appearance. While he's still a bit unsure of how the entertainment aspects fit in to being a real hero, and the prospect of fame is almost more frightening than exciting to him, Soma is ready to put his KEU training to work and see what good he can do with his gift.
  • Persona: Emerald Dragon is an idealist who believes anyone can be a hero. Not necessarily in the professional sense, but more accurately that heroic ideals are a force for good that can be applied by anyone, even those currently on the villain side if they choose to learn from their mistakes after being brought to justice.
  • Bio: Soma assumed for most of his life that the extent of his gift was the existence of his scales and tail, and that as such the prospects of his becoming a hero like the ones he looked up to on TV seemed pretty much nill. Instead, Soma focused his admiration towards creating his own made up heroes and learning to draw them and their adventures in hopes that if he could become a professional then at least his creations could provide some inspiration to others. It wasn't until late in his teen years that Soma discovered his true gift, though by then he had contented himself with civilian life and only bothered to use his abilities for more mundane purposes.
  • That changed one night Soma encountered a woman being mugged at gunpoint in an alley. In a panic, Soma used his gift to distract the criminal and they were able to take him down and restrain him until the police arrived. While the authorities' professional opinion was they were damn lucky nobody got shot, local news ran the story with Soma as a hometown hero. The excitement of his 15 minutes of fame died down soon enough but Hero TV recruiters caught wind of the story and extended an invitation for Soma to come to KEU to learn how to become a professional hero with Shining Seas Entertainment, the company the would-be mugging victim worked for, as his sponsor. With seemingly nothing to lose by at least attending the university, Soma accepted the invitation and left his Nevada hometown to begin his training in New Hope City.

Max, Martin and Soma are accepted. Will do more after school, maybe start.

Alright, here's a GMPC.

  • Name (Civillian): Elena Evans
  • Codename: Solaris
  • Age: 24
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: "Efficient, fast, reliable!
  • Costume: On the field, Solaris wears a skintight white bodysuit made of a special heat and flame resistant cloth, looking like a sleeveless and backless turtleneck. She wears long opera gloves made of the same material, all the way up to her elbows, white with gold trim. She wears a gold skirt over white tights and knee-high, heeled white boots with a gold trim. On her chest is emblazoned a logo made to look like a stylized halo over the sun. She does not wear a mask, as her identity is public.
  • Sponsor: Miraculous Media, she has also taken to endorsing a favorite charity of her's: the orphanage run by A League Heroine Izanami.
  • Gift: Elena's gift, jokingly called POWER OF THE SUN by her older brother Apollo has both a passive and active element. Her gift automatically absorbs heat energy from things, making her both completely immune to flames and a walking solar battery. The energy absorbed by her body supercharges her, giving her the classic Miracle Package of superior strength, durability, agility, speed and senses. The more time she has spent absorbing energy, the more powerful she is. This active component to her Gift means that whenever she uses her strength, she only lasts so long as she has energy stored. In addition, she can also discharge her stored power in two extra ways, although these drain her power far, far faster than simply smashing things: flight, via the appearance of wings made from burning plasma as well as the ability to discharge the same plasma as a ranged attack.
  • Flaw: For such a power, Elena's flaw is a rather big one: Water and extreme cold drains her power very quickly and if she stays out in the rain for too long, she's reduced to a normal person and must recharge herself so that she can get her powers back.
  • Other Skills:
    • Hand to Hand Combat and Swordsmanship: For obvious reasons, Elena was trained on how to defend herself if ever her Gift ran out or was otherwise unusable. Elena is very physically fit and was trained in both unarmed combat and the use of the sword in many different styles.
    • Marksmanship: Pragmatically, Elena has also learned how to shoot and is a passably competent shooter and is able to make use of most common firearms.
    • Good with Numbers: Elena is talented in math, accounting, investments and most anything dealing with numbers. The eidetic memory helps.
  • Other Equipment:
    • The Sword of Evil's Reckoning: A custom-made double edged greatsword that Solaris carries into battle. Although it's a two-handed weapon, Elena's superior strength allows her to swing it with one hand if need be. It's made to channel her gift, allowing the blade to ignite itself in Solaris's plasma. Flashy, but she doesn't use it often.
  • Personality: In a case of total irony, Elena can best be described as cold. Aloof, sharp-tongued and blunt, Elena is a perfectionist who cares more about efficiency and consistency than making friends. Elena always pushes others to not slack off, treating them with icy professionalism at best. Still, Elena is totally devoted to the cause of super-heroism, believing that everything they do, they do to the people. If there's a chance in helping even one person, she'll do it, forgoing the lure of points taking down the bad guy to save a stuck civillian for one. She works herself to the bone, and her dearest wish is for a safe world for all, Gifted or not. She has a soft spot for children, and puts up with her Solaris persona to bring them joy. She's also surprisingly timid and unsure of herself when she lets people close to her on rare occassions.
  • Persona: Contrasting cold Elena, Solaris is like the fusion of a guardian angel and a magical girl. Dramatic and flashy, Solaris tends to give big speeches (in purple prose!) before leaping into action. Solaris acts as a role model, spouting words of love and justice! A protector of children, Solaris swears her sword in service to them all! No matter what, when injustice strikes, the lovely angel Solaris shall be there
  • Bio: Elena Evans is the middle granddaughter of Matthew Evans, Wrath, the second child of Teresa Evans, Dawn, and the sister of Apollo and Louisa. Elena grew up with her siblings smack dab in the middle of the world of Hero TV and the Gifted. From a young age, Elena knew she wanted to be a hero, unlike her siblings who were both reluctant in their own ways. Driven and serious, Elena studied all she could about superheroes to the exclusion of much of everything else, impressing her grandfather and worrying her mother. Elena's Gift awakened early and she trained hard at the KEU, even being personally tutored by the Number Two Hero, the Hawk. After graduating, Elena got a job at Miraculous Media as an accountant, but it was her talks with HTV bigwigs Scott and Karen O'Neil that led to the launch of the B-League. Now, Solaris is ready to make her debut.

  • Codename: Fluffy, Queen of the Clouds!!!
  • Age: 19
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: Felicity is a slightly shorter than average young woman who appears just a few years younger than her actual age. She wears her snowy blonde hair short and curly, and has cloudy grey eyes. Considering getting some purely aesthetic glasses to accentuate her cuteness.
  • Costume: As Fluffy her costumes actually come with a lot of variation, but the common thread among them is that they all white and puffy, the recurrent theme being some form of sheep costume. Clothing tends to be seasonal. Or something cute and fashionable to sell dolls/action figures/plush toys or accessories.
  • Sponsor: Fluff 'N Stuff Plushie Emporium, a locally owned (but rather large) toy store specializing in (take a guess) plush toys. Sort of kind of acts as a mascot? Or at least, a major promoter. Very family oriented, very child friendly.
  • Gift: Dubbed as a "weather witch" in her KEU days, Fluffy can channel the elements of lightning, wind, water, and ice using her body as a medium. What this means, practically speaking, is that she can push and pull objects up to the size of a person via controlling wind through broad gestures, send out striking blows with either shocking jolts or freezing cold, and manipulate and reshape water at a touch. Her effective range for wind and water is only around two to three yards, give or take, but she is a very effective melee fighter, training so she is both strong and fast athletically.
  • Flaw: All that fluff is very, very flammable. Sadly. Unfortunately.
  • Other Skills: Because of the limited range of her powers, Fluffy concentrated on training in hand to hand combat at KEU to make the most of her abilities. Beyond that she's always good at keeping a cool head and talking down civilian worries. Also good with children!
  • Other Equipment: Carries around grenades that explode in either fog or compressed fire extinguisher foam, as well as a bottle of water (because there won't always be a convenient puddle nearby). In addition her costumes all have the function to rapidly expand outward in a mass of puff when she shouts "Super Fluffy!" which helps insulate her from physical harm. Her costume designer questioned why she would ever need that function, but she insisted, saying "It's cute and silly and therefore perfect for me!"
  • Personality: Felicity is bubbly and fun loving, sweet to the point of toothache. She loves being around people and being a part of any social situation, and can be overbearingly friendly to others. She loves to tease, flirt, and make fun, but she also loves to love, wanting to get along with everyone she can. Sometimes even with criminals she's fighting... for better or worse.
  • Persona: Fluffy plays up Felicity's personality to eleven, a deliberately saccharine and cheerful face designed to appeal to children. She dials back on the flirting because she has an image to maintain for Fluff 'N Stuff, but hey if the camera's are off, what she does in private is her business!
  • Bio: Discovering her powers around late middle school, Felicity practically jumped at the chance to join Katherine Evans University, with her parents reasoning that it was better that than leaving her at home and continuing to accidentally cause local power outages. Though her grades were... unremarkable, she nonetheless graduated from the academy through sheer enthusiasm, ready to take on the villains of the world and make a name for herself while also tackling regular college. Unfortunately, her mediocre grades kept her from getting into any colleges she wanted, and likewise made her unattractive to potential sponsors. Begrudgingly she took what was meant to be a temp job at the Fluff N' Stuff Plushie Emporium but upon realizing she was a Gifted, her manager saw a potential win-win situation for them both and offered to sponsor her in the Hero TV B League.

Name (Civilian): Bayard "Bay" Kahn

Codename: Gamble

Age: 23

Gender: Male

Appearance: A publicity photo from his KEU freshman year. Bay is now much older and stands at a flat 5'10 and weighs a trim 215 lbs.

Costume: Rather simple in the form of a black domino mask, sleeveless bodysuit, handwraps, and soft-looking boots actually made from some hybrid military material. He also has a body harness capable of carrying anything he needs on an op.

Bay's insignia, discretely sewn upon the chest of his bodysuit, is four six-sided dice springing from an upturned cup, symbolizing long odds.

Sponsor: Lamplight, ostensibly a hotel-casino with branches in the gambling capitals of the world, they are also rumored to fund laboratories that have begun to break ground in counter-Gifted measures.

Gift: Tactile Kinesis - So long as Bay can touch an object, he naturally understands its makeup and homes in on its weakest point. He is then able to nudge that point to a weakness he can then exploit, anything from a loosened knot, an unlocked tumbler, and even screws in their fittings. As the years have passed and his talent has honed, Bay has increased the range of his Gift, able to nudge multiple items within 15 feet of his initial touch point.

Flaw: As a Hero, Bay might be among the more accomplished hand-to-hand fighters, but he definitely has to be one of the craftier ones. Especially given the nature of his Flaw. Once he uses his Tactile Kinesis, he focuses on the item he first used it upon. Unless he waits or runs into the exact same mechanism, Bay cannot refocus upon a new object. If he's focused on bolts, then it's bolts he can twist. Same for things such as fibers, tumblers, screws, etc. He also cannot affect biological matter.

Other Skills: Among the following are his most notable skills.

Escape Artist - With the backing of Lamplight and his own trust fund, Bay is able to keep honing his natural preference of escapology, studying the techniques of the greats like Major Zamora, Antony Britton, and the greatest one of them all; Harry Houdini.

Contortionist - Born to a Cirque du Soleil performer, Bay has grown up giving people a fright by climbing into hotel dumbwaiters or popping out of suitcases. While hes much larger now, he still has the same capabilities which come in handy crawling through vents or squeezing through small spaces.

Athlete of Athletes - Thanks to both his Gift and the superb training under Lamplight, Bay's fitness is roughly on par with a French Foreign Legionnaire, with the martial arts training to match most veteran practitioners, with years of aikido, judo, and muay thai.

Other Equipment: Along with a flesh-colored comms bud fitted into the ear, Gamble's sponsors have given him a pair of state-of-the-art contact lenses which act as a multi-purpose visor.

Lastly, he has come into a fair amount of money; a trust fund courtesy of his family.

Personality: Off the bat, Bayard is not very sociable and far more serious and career-minded than any 23-year old has a right to be, thanks to the schooling sponsored by Lamplight and the fact that they had a job waiting for him upon graduation. He can be very forthright and focused on his tasks, with no patience for showboats, those who share their wit too much, or those who think they can outwit organizations.

But once the working hours are done... Not much changes, but he gives great attention and care to cultivating his little row of potted plants. Bay seems to have a fondness for the composer Liszt and New Orleans cuisine. Lastly, he is in a loving relationship with fellow KEU graduate Camellia Dalton, who is currently living with him in his inherited studio loft.

Persona: While a child of a circus performer, Bayard doesn't do much to cultivate the boisterous personality one needs in the hero business. He is business-like and terse, preferring to keep to himself and to give as few interviews as he can so as not to mess with his focus.

Bio: The grandson of the famous Dr Seismo and the child of the security director of Lamplight, Las Vegas and a dancer for the most renowned theatre production in the world, the glitzy hotel was his playground, especially when his Gift manifested at the age of 8. Not the best way for a once-carefree child to grow up, but now he is paying back his big ol' family, as a security adviser for Lamplight and the troubleshooting specialist of Hero TV!
