Suggestion: Psychotic Smirk

Okay, so since the clock in the previous thread expired, and Morgenthaler proposed creating a new thread, I have gone and made this one to continue the replacement image discussion. Here are the suggestions that have been put up in the previous thread, along with some suggestions of my own:

I actually went through Psychotic Smirk's Image Links and liked these two◊ very much.

5.2 look good

5.2 gets the smirk right, but there's a clash in my head between "psychotic" and MLP...it's assuredly the trope name being too narrow, but still. I think this one◊ of Azula is the best overall.

I'll go with the Azula one.

How about something from Soul Eater: Medusa◊; The Moon

A Psychotic Smirk must be done with only one side of the mouth, so the former example doesn't apply. The latter is Slasher Smile.

It could be just my eyes but I thought one side of Medusa's mouth was higher than the other in that picture but I could be wrong.

The "Psychotic" really doesn't work, as it implies an insanity which doesn't always apply to the villain in question. Sly Villainous Smirk would be more apropos.

That's a more fitting name indeed

Or better keep it simple with Malicious Smirk. But that would be a discussion for Trope Repair Shop.

Crowner time?

I have made the crowner. Hollering.

Fun fact: there was another crowner for this trope, and I took one of the candidates for that one for this crowner as well (Son of Mine). I did not include examples of Slasher Smile or those where both sides of the mouth are lifted, as they do not match the trope.
