Duplicate Image: Ax Crazy

I know a thread on this picture has gone recently, which concluded on weak "keep" because the image is iconic; problem, it's also almost the same used on The Shining itself.

Usually I'm for selecting another work picture, but in this case maybe a more thorough research for a trope replacement might be more fruitful.

The first thing I think about with this trope is the movie In the Mouth of Madness; I've found a couple of pictures, though not of good quality: [1]◊ [2]◊

I like that first one...there's a very unsettling quality to it.

I think if we come up with an adequate replacement, we should try to avoid any pics where crazy characters are literally swinging around axes to avoid overlap with An Axe To Grind.

I like either 1.1 or 1.4. That being said, I agree with that images of crazy characters with axes might get people confused with An Axe To Grind.

1.4 for me.

6.1 is nice

I kinda like the current more than the suggestions.

Both of the Bateman pics are good. However, if we want to change the pic on The Shining, here's a coupla options: dA pic◊, poster

I could easily be seduced by 6.1.

I wouldn't mind if the work page picture is replaced by 9.2 in the same move, though.

I'm for either keeping the current and swapping picture on Shining's work page or using 6.1.

Since nothing else has gotten votes, I've called the crowner and put the pics up on their respective pages. I've left the old caption on The Shining. For Ax-Crazy, I was thinking one of Bateman's lines like "You're a fucking ugly bitch. I want to stab you to death, and then play around with your blood.", "I like to dissect girls. Did you know I'm utterly insane?", or some part of "Something horrible is happening inside of me and I don't know why. My nightly bloodlust has overflown into my days. I feel lethal, on the verge of frenzy. I think my mask of sanity is about to slip."

Amusingly enough, this line was actually shown (not said) in The Dark Knight, starring Christian Bale as Batman.
