THE TIME IS OCTOBER 22, 1963. THE CITY IS 「BERLIN!」

IN THIS CITY, MANY SECRETS WILL SOON BE REVEALED ON THE ROAD OF YET ANOTHER BIZARRE ADVENTURE!

It has been two years since the construction of the wall dividing 「EAST」 and 「WEST.」 The proximity to both countries has turned Berlin into the optimal place to move things across this division. The forces of these two opposed coalitions have begun to utilize the border city as a hub of 「secrets.」 There are heroes on both sides of this war as spies live and die by their ability to stay alive, stay dangerous, and stay covert. Outside of the law, contraband has become a big hit as well. You can’t just sell the location of a warehouse of chocolate meant for soldiers—should you be able to smuggle it over the wall, you can net quite the tidy profit!

Among these events, there are a few with 「special」 talents - the mysterious power known as a 「Stand!」 Sought after by both sides, their abilities are in steep demand, for only a 「Stand」can defeat another 「Stand.」 Whether these people get involved freely, or are dragged into it against their will, they will certainly become 「intertwined」 with these events!

Two independent agencies have arisen to meet the needs of both sides. In the 「EAST,」 「MARCH」 has a squad of valiant souls ready to venture across the wall and report on the activity of their neighbors, led by the stunning presence of a Stand User known only as 「Legacy.」 In the 「WEST」 the equally valiant 「JAM」 stands ready to oppose them, led by the wily and outspoken Stand User 「Gold.」 Supplementing their forces are heroes who have also mastered Stands, either granted to them at birth or perhaps given to them through the highly dangerous and mysterious procedures of the 「Stand Needle Procedure」. Stranger, still, the ancient arts of 「Hamon」 and 「Spin」 have both collided in this world, and their practitioners walk the streets as well.

This is the story of those heroes, and their BIZARRE ADVENTURE: SEEKERS ADVANCE!

So yeah, It’s another stab at making a Jojos Bizarre Adventure RP! If you haven't read the manga or watched the new anime, don't worry—any questions you have can probably be answered either on the wiki, the TVT page linked above, and for some good essentials to the show this 5 minute video is a pretty good resource. This RP, however, is going to be a little different. My Co-GM Krika told me about this setup, and I think it could work really well. Essentially, each parcel of time that passes is set up in "turns.” Sorry, I mean 「turns.」 Each 「turn,」 we give out a bunch of prompts to write a story about taking place during a particular timeframe. Players elect to put their characters into these prompts, then write them separately in a Google Doc and post them into the thread. Essentially, we create a shared storytelling space with multiple things going on at once. Then, depending on what happens in the stories that get written, the world will evolve and change. Next turn, there'd be a new set of prompts. Here’s an example given by Krika himself:

Like, for instance....hmm, let's use Jojo part 4 as an example - Jotaro and Josuke would write the "opening story", and then we'd have someone want to jump in as Koichi, so Jotaro, Koichi, and someone who signs up as Oyakasu do a story together that has Koichi end up with a Stand. The GM uses Oyakasu's brother (with Oyakasu's permission) as a disposable character to set up an overall villain for the big arc, and Koichi gets a Stand so he can be more involved (thanks to graduating from NPC to PC). Then we get a story with The Lock person and Koichi, maybe Jotaro and Josuke encounter the Aqua Necklace guy in approximately the same timeframe so both of those happen...not necessarily at the same time, but because there are no shared characters, they just have to happen after the last stories their characters appeared in.

In this way the RP moves forward in meaningful short arcs contained to small groups of characters, not unlike a real arc of Jojo. If you need more illustration on how this works, me and Krika will have an example of the setup of this RP in the first post of this thread. If you’d like to propose a problem or conflict for JAM or MARCH or even both of them to face, let me know too and I’ll add it to my notes.

If you’re interested, please oblige us with the character sheet below! If you’ve never read Jojo but you’re still interested in this, just PM me any questions you have about the setting. We’re probably going to accept around 12 players maximum, so move quick!

  • Name and Codename: Please just don’t have a name that can be shortened into “Jojo.” We don’t want someone trying to be a Main Character. Brandos are similarly off-limits, for the same reason except with Big Bads.
  • Age: Minimum age should be 15.
  • Gender:
  • Appearance: Go outrageous and detailed here. I’d prefer description to pictures, but I’m not going to ban pictures either.
  • Goals: Outside of the missions your character should probably have something that motivates them. Stands are only given to those with a 「will」 to control them, after all.
  • Allegiance and Position: List your affiliation to either ‘’’「JAM」’’’ or ‘’’「MARCH,」’’’ as well as your character’s job within the organization.
  • Gear: List any equipment or tools your character uses regularly, in addition to their living conditions. Guns and other overt hardware are extremely regulated, but crazy spy gadgets less so, especially if they have some synergy with your Stand.
  • Bio: Doesn’t have to be particularly verbose, but it should have some good hooks in it and explain why they came to work for the agencies.
  • Stand:
    • Name: Musical references are encouraged but not mandatory.
    • Appearance:
    • Stand Type: Can be Power-Type, Long Range, Automatic, Suit, Bound, Ability, or something else! Hamon and Spin users are also welcome, as are those without any powers at all!
As a last note, PM your Stand’s Power to me so that we can look at it and approve it without spoiling what it is to everyone else!

Alright, I want to post a few...not rules, exactly, but observations and guidelines for this kind of play style. Hopefully this will help everybody get used to it smoothly, and answer some questions you might have.

First of all, please keep in mind that this is ultimately a collaborative, shared universe that we’re all writing in. Nobody is going to “win” this story, and there are not going to be any “losers”. A lot of the prompts and the stories will involve two players whose characters are on opposite sides of the JAM/MARCH divide, and they’ll be competing against each other. Obviously, nobody wants to write their character losing (well, maybe you do. Most people I think would rather not). Sometimes you’ll be able to resolve a situation so that both people get something out of it. Sometimes you can’t, and one person wins while the other loses. And that’s fine. If everybody won all the time, it’d be a boring story. This is a point I don’t think I can stress enough, and I’ll probably mention a few more times in this post. Each prompt is not about one side winning, or one side getting something over the other - it’s about a situation, and how it’s resolved. It’s about life in the crazy, noisy, bizarre town of Berlin in the early 60s - and life has its ups and its downs, in equal value.

Secondly, while the various Stand powers in play will start out as hidden from other players, please don’t expect that to last. If you’re writing a story with someone, them knowing what your character can do is important because two people writing with each other, as opposed to against each other, will make a much better story - you’ll be able to come up with more fun things to have happen, and it’ll make resolving the prompt easier if you’re not constantly trying to one-up each other. And really, half the fun of Jojo is how the crazy Stands interact with each other - and hiding your Stand’s powers from the rest of the players means you have less chances to have your character shine, and less fun moments for them.

While I’m here, let me bring up a point of player versus character knowledge - as a player, you will undoubtedly know significantly more than your character since you’ll be reading every response to every prompt (or I assume you will). I know this is kinda an R Ping basic rule, but please try and keep it separate.

On the other hand, you as a player can look at what characters not your own are doing, and maybe you’ll think “oh hey, I think my character X and this other character Y would play well off each other”. Good! This is good. Every character has a story, everybody has goals and motivations (which is why it’s on the signup sheet). Other players can exist to help push your character’s story along, and conversely you can help other characters advance their story. Maybe you and another player agree to have your characters know each other due to a pre-existing relationship (they met in the past, grew up on the same street, are bitter rivals, had a one-night stand {pun not intended}, that sort of thing). This is awesome, because having a past makes character interactions all the better, and nobody exists in a vacuum. Every character here is going to be colliding off of others, and you can work that to your advantage! If you have a particular arc in mind that you want your character to go through, please share it! Your fellow players can offer advice, have their characters come in to be actors in that arc, and help advance it. Character interactions are great - don’t shy away from opportunities to have them!

Digressing into my role as co-GM here for a minute, please don’t try and hide information from us about your character - goals, motivations, abilities, whatever. First of all, it’s bad faith and makes it feel like you’re trying to play against us, when we’re here to help make this as fun and enjoyable an experience for everyone involved (including us - we’re going to be writing with and alongside you guys). If you hide something from us, that’s one less thing we can use to make this game more fun.

Finally - length. We’re not enforcing a minimum word count here, because ultimately what we want is a good response to the prompt. However long it takes for it to be resolved is how long it takes to be resolved. That being said, if a four paragraph response is submitted, that’s going to be frowned upon simply because it’s lazy. This isn’t to say that a four paragraph response can’t be good and answer the prompt well, but that I don’t think it’s likely that anything that short can resolve the prompt in a satisfactory fashion. For the record, when I wrote for the RP that I was in the prompts that would come out from me and other person were generally 5 - 10 pages long in Google Docs. Which isn’t to say that’s what you should aim for - again, you should aim for what feels right and resolves the prompt. If that takes 4 pages, that’s fine. If it takes 20 pages? Also fine.

  • Name and Codename: Alicia Torres, aka 'Spider'(or Spide, for shorter version)
  • Age: 28
  • Gender: female
  • Personality: Contrary to popular belief of a typical black belt master, Alicia is actually warm and friendly to her students, foregoing all martial arts discipline, half the time during her classes she would joke about with her students if her time permits, as she rather not waste time drilling discipline when that's the drill sergeant's job.

    • Out on the battlefield, though, well...one could describe her as elitist, cocky, bloodthirsty and a bit dumb, and they could be right, but what she really want is a fight, a test of her own martial arts ability against any situation that she was given. Fueling that was the rumour of the ancient art of 「Hamon」and「Spin」, if she got into a fight with the blokes who mastered both of them, it'll be a win-win situation, if she win, of course she's gonna still prove that her martial arts are the best, if she loses but lives, she gets to see why these two arts are powerful with her own eyes and either learn from the practitioner or try to see if she can counter them. If she dies, well...she's always ready for death.
  • Appearance: Alicia has an athletic build to her, with noticeable abs, deltoids and arms to her body but the main draw to her body is her pale skin, which was unusual in Brazil where she came from. Keep in mind that she had already spent quite some time under the sun. Beyond that, she also sported short black hair styled in a simple pixie cut. She's 6'0" tall.

    • If her body doesn't catch your attention, her outfit certainly will. Specifically, her gi. She wears it everywhere, even on days where she was supposed to be resting and in matches where gis are optional. That doesn't mean she's not fashionable, though, opposite of it, actually, and the evidence is her choice of gi itself. The one she wears the most is the black gi covered in Japanese Irezumi dragon art all over it, with the only thing cleared was the on the back to make way for the black and white Gracie Jiu Jitsu logo. Her pants is no different, albeit simpler, with black dragons rising from the bottom up. Should her gi comes off, which is basically every grappling showdown ever, the audience would have a wonderful view of her simple yet elegant checkered rash guard.

  • Goals: Oh, it's very simple: to master every martial arts she's interested in up to black belt level and to fight with her own two fist until she's dead. And she got Hamon and Spin in her hungry eyes.
  • Allegiance and Position: Come on and slam and welcome to the 「JAM」. Her main job is to teach the agency blokes fundamental martial arts skills of strikes, grapples and groundwork.
  • Gear: Her fist. Her gi. Her boots. That's all she brings and will refuse any weapons the agency gives her. She also lives in a humble 1 room flat, half of which are filled with mats and training equipment.
  • Bio: Alicia was your typical bored princess of a rich family centered around the fashion industry, with her mom being one of the top fashion designer of Brazil and her dad the CEO of the Brand New Clothing Company. She tried everything to alleviate her boredom throughout the years Ballet, violin, piano, sewing, waltz, football . All of which she tried for a couple years each at best and then her interest dropped completely and move on to the next.
    • And then she overheard the jock of her highly prestigious school talking about the Gracie challenge and how dumb it is that the Gracie family declaring such a daring boast that their style of jiu jitsu will help overcome any opponent, especially one bigger than them. Alicia was interested in such claims, seek out a gym that teach an art and learn from it. There, her neck was choked, her limbs were bending like lollipop sticks and played around as if she was bullied by her own siblings. And she gets to return the favor shortly after. She felt alive.
    • The most fun Alicia had was in her vale tudo days where she get to not only fight against various martial artists but also learn them as well, after all it helps to be well-rounded. She mainly learn wrestling to learn more techniques of taking the opponent down to the mat and kickboxing and tae kwon do to supplement her strikes. It's such a surreal experience fighting under a completely different metagame. Of course, she had been elbowed and kicked to oblivion but those 6 losses of hers cant compare to the 17 wins she had gain. This is where she gets her 'Spider' nickname, by the way, since her most favored guard is the spider guard and the infamous armbar or triangle choke will eventually follow up.
    • The number of belt rankings may be small but holy hell, do the blokes make you work for it but eventually, Spider have managed to gain her black belt, passed down by none other than Helios Gracie himself. This is, without a doubt, the best day of her life. "But the journey isn't over," he said in private in his own office. "It is not enough that we prove our prowess in a match, we must prove it in the battlefield too. Against Hamon. Against Spin. But the practitioner of such arts are also stand users and normal people like us wouldn't stand a chance against them. Well, us except a select few..." He then proceeded to stab Spider in the neck with a needle. Spider, as if she was bug sprayed, had a brief but intense seizure on the floor for a while but it eventually stopped.
    • "Good, you have the will to survive. And die by the cause. That is good. Also, I've set up a contract with JAM, you're basically going to live a fluffy life of teaching willing minds the awesomeness of Gracie Jiu Jitsu but you're also obligated to be out of the battlefield and fight the stand users if ordered to do so. Pays well too. So you in?" Why does he even need to ask when Spider already have a grin on her face. Just one question that she asked. "Why didnt you sign one of the Gracie's to go up against the Hamon and Spin?" "Our family's purpose is here to preserve BJJ the best as we can and spread our knowledge around the world. It's much too important to risk even one of us dying. I hope you understand." She does and accepted the contract without much hassle.
  • Stand:
  • Name: Tigers Jaw
  • Appearance: Hey, remember that dragon irezumi all over her favourite gi? Now imagine that but all over her body, from the very tip of her chin down to her ankle. It has so much more color and features themes from Japanese and Brazilian culture; samurais running through the favela on her left thigh, geisha celebrating a festival on her right arm, so on and so forth. And her whole back is taken up by a Gracie Jiu Jitsu Logo.
  • Stand Type: Suit

Alright, finally done, though I'm kinda scared that the stand might be too bullshit in terms of origins but in any case, I'll just have my backup story in mind. In the meantime, maybe I should start watching Jojo now to get the feel of the show.

  • Name and Codename: Eric Jameson A.K.A Hearts
  • Age: 25
  • Gender: Male
  • Personality: Eric is an extreme thrill seeker with a nasty greedy streak. Gaining a stand has increased his enjoyment of life or did briefly before he was recruited. Nowadays he just seems very depressed to the casual observer.
  • Appearance: A skinny bastard with sharp features and light blond hair. Wears a simple black and white suit with distinct playing card cufflinks and a metal collar around his neck.
  • Goals: Eric does not actually work for 「MARCH」of his own free will so his goals also include escaping, wrecking the place on his way out and maybe making some money while doing it.
  • Allegiance and Position: 「MARCH」 Where Eric is an "expendable force multiplier". i.e. Someone who is sent on suicide missions.
  • Gear: A pack of playing cards which he replenishes on a regular basis, a small sack of poker chips and a wrist watch with a communicator built into it.
  • Bio: The scion of a rich New England family who refused to take the family business or life seriously. After flunking out of college for the third time and a host of other indiscretions (some of which required large amounts for bail) his parents sent him to Europe on an extended trip so they didn't have to see their failure of a son every day. While he was vacationing, Eric found he had a particular talent for gambling and played everywhere he could. One time while playing poker with some less than reputable people in West Germany he won an old arrowhead on a hand and due to a slip of the hand cut himself with it. Not long after he passed out from the strain of his stand awakening and when he came to he had been dumped in East Germany and captured by the police there. From jail he was forcibly recruited by「MARCH」to do the jobs they deemed to dangerous for their standard agents.
  • Stand:
    • Name: Charlemagne
    • Appearance: A large angular white humanoid with red tron lines up and down its body, a heart symbol on its back, a crown and glowing red eyes
    • Stand Type: Power-Type

So I realized I always hate writing Personality fields in RP's and that I can veer off suspect bad RP'ers entirely from a Goal and Bio, so I've removed that field. Use it if you want but if not that's no big deal now.

Here's my character.

  • Name and Codename: Veronica "Vera" Winslow, AKA "Dreamfinder"
  • Age: 17
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: Vera is a teenaged girl with brown hair and blue eyes, standing at about 5'1" tall. She's commonly seen wearing a black beanie cap with three pink star-shaped pins, a black sweater over a white shirt with a rose-colored bowtie, black shorts over black and white tights, a black and silver sash, a pair of pink and white bracelets, a watch, and nice black shoes. She looks like this.
  • Goals: Find her missing mother Lillian, who was last seen fighting for the 「JAM」 side in Berlin.
  • Allegiance and Position: 「JAM」, serving as a scout and reconnaissance trooper.
  • Gear: Her instant camera that she swiped from the Speedwagon Foundation upon her arrival in Berlin, which also has a hidden compartment containing several tiny smoke bombs in case an escape is necessary, and a black backpack to store anything else she gets. While she lived in an average suburban home in New Orleans in America, her current accommodations are a nice little hotel room in Berlin, the fees for which were paid for by her father.
  • Bio:
    • Born as the elder of fraternal twins to a Stand-user named Lillian Winslow and her husband Mark Winslow (who just so happened to work for the Speedwagon Foundation), both Veronica and her twin sister Valerie have had Stands for as long as they can remember. Vera was always the more mischievous, outgoing, and playful of the two, liking to play tricks on other children in her neighborhood with her Stand, Enter Sandman, when they were younger. As she got older, she eventually gained a propensity for sneaking into places she really shouldn't have been in, though she was occasionally caught and had to be bailed out by her family. Despite this, she's always had a good heart deep down and cared deeply for her sister and her parents. So when her mother left to go to Germany on some kind of "important business" several months ago, she was rather worried and a bit upset by it.
    • Unfortunately, all contact with her mother ceased about a month ago, as she was reported missing with her last known whereabouts being in Berlin. While initially upset by the possibility that her mother died, a letter arrived one day addressed specifically to Vera herself. It told her what her mother was really up to in Germany: fighting for the 「JAM」faction of a little secret war, and that Lillian actually was a spy working for them. As part of a contingency plan set up by Lillian herself in case she were to ever go MIA, Vera was asked to come to Berlin in order to take her mother's place in the group.
    • Wanting to go find her mother, Vera begged her father to let her go to Germany so she could look for mommy dearest, without specifically telling the detail of how she was basically invited to go be a spy. While he was initially adamant on not letting her go because of her age and inexperience, he eventually cracked and managed to get her a way to get to Berlin on behalf of the Speedwagon Foundation, though he made her promise to keep in touch with him and her sister via letters. Now having arrived overseas, she's joined the same faction that Lillian was a member of, and hopes that she can find her mother as soon as possible.
  • Stand:
    • Name: Enter Sandman
    • Appearance: This Stand resembles a feminine, noseless humanoid seemingly made almost entirely out of rose-colored sand, with a bit of both an angelic and demonic look to it. Like this.
    • Stand Type: Power-Type

Alright, this is my....well, I'd have to say my GMPC, even though that acronym has bad connotations to me. Eh.

  • Name & Code-name: Martin Chander, "Seeker"
  • Age: 29
  • Gender: Guy
  • Appearance: Soft features, with a brilliant pair of green eyes that seem to actually sparkle in the right light. His dark hair is slicked back and tied in a very small bun at the back of his head, with a small compass hanging off of the tie. A sheer black trench coat over bright purple slacks and a brilliant red shirt. The shirt has a map of the world spread around it, with Europe most prominently on the front of it. The cuff-links on his trench coat and buttons on his slacks all look like compass roses, and his trench coat has small images of globes pattered around the bottom edge and along the collar. He constantly wears a massive pair of sunglasses (even indoors).
  • Goals: Try and find the person who killed his older brother - even though it’s been more than 10 years since then.
  • Allegiance and Position: A field agent for 「JAM」, and expert in tailing and tracking people down.
  • Gear: An improbable number of knives (mostly throwing, but a few more suitable for hand-to-hand combat).
  • Bio: Born during the lull between the two World Wars, Martin’s first real memories growing up are of the increasingly bad conditions of Germany during the second War, and the impression that they made on him never really left him. His father had died in the war, and his old brother had to work to take care of him and his mother, and they were as normal a family could be under those circumstances. When he was old enough to start working, he started trying to do his part to support their household, taking odd jobs around West Berlin. One day when he was 17, his brother was accompanying him on his courier rounds (it was his brother’s day off, and they wanted to spend some time together), helping with some packages and heckling him in the way brothers do. Martin went to deliver a package to a house down an alleyway while his brother waited out in the street, and upon leaving the alley, he saw only two things: His brother’s dead body, and a figure with blood on its clothes dashing away. The police never found the killer, and he vowed that he would do what they could not, with the strange power that had manifested as he cried over his brother’s body - his 「Stand」. After about a year of amateur sleuthing, and an occasional bit of vigilante justice, he was tracked down by 「JAM」and given an offer to put his talents to work in a way that while being only vaguely more legal, had more purpose and goals. He gladly accepted, and the rest is history.
  • Stand:
    • Name: 「Man with a Mission」
    • Stand-Type: Close-Range Stand
    • Appearance: A humanoid stand that is completely blank, with smooth featureless skin across its entire body, pattered a mottled blue and green. There are two exceptions to this - the eyes on its head, and a compass embedded into the back of each hand.

Hearts and Charlemagne are approved.

Dreamfinder and Enter Sandman are approved.

Annnnnd here's my own GMPC.

  • Name and Codename: Asir Tinova—Codename Jackal
  • Age: 20
  • Gender: M
  • Appearance: Jackal is a fairly fit young man with a runner’s physique; he is exactly 5 feet even. His hair is black and arcs back and up in three distinct prongs, with the rest staying fairly closely cut to his head. He wears a black bomber jacket with a huge white fluffy collar; both shoulders have a patch with a white jackal silhouette on black. The jacket is always partially zipped down to about his ribcage, showing an image of 20 sticks of dynamite in bright red ordered across his chest. His pants are jeans that hang very low and loose on his hips and are decorated with small brass pins of shattered glass patterns. He wears professional-looking black wing-tip shoes.
  • Goals: Try to keep the Cold War as Cold as possible by maintaining a strict balance of power, maybe even sabotaging his own people if it means keeping the peace.
  • Allegiance and Position: MARCH, forward field investigator.
  • Gear: Jackal always carries a shitload of ping-pong balls hidden in secret pockets all over his body. He lives alone in a fairly well-kept upscale apartment in a neighborhood of students.
  • Bio: Jackal was raised by his father, a scholar of the history of the Soviet Union, and from him learned about the movements of the world, and all of the times Russia had gotten the shit kicked out of it before hitting back just as hard. He was raised in the immediate aftermath of World War 2, and his memories of childhood are entrenched in the hardships the post-war Soviet Union gave its citizens. He did not have to agree with the people running his country to know that he needed to help its people in any way he could. When he heard that intelligence agencies were cropping up in Berlin, Jackal shipped out to help any way he could. He balanced academic investigative skills with a gradually improving physique, and when he heard there was an experimental procedure to make him an even more effective agent, he volunteered immediately. His will proved strong enough, and he only recently awoke to find The Touch ready and willing to fight for him.
  • Stand:
    • Name: The Touch
    • Appearance: The Touch is a pair of blocky, oversized muscular arms connected at the shoulders to a central head with a muzzle and ears like a jackal. The arms are black with white lines along them, spidering like cracked glass. The central body is white, seemingly with no eyes, but with a black outline of teeth running down the muzzle.
    • Stand Type: Long Range

Finally done. That took way longer than I thought it would. -__-'

  • Name and Codename: Lucas Schwartz, AKA Eleven
  • Age: 24
  • Gender: Male
  • Appearance: Pale skin. Dark black hair, somewhat wavy and unkept. His blue eyes are hidden by dark sunglasses with two long scratches on each lens resembling an X. He also wear a red shirt and a black bomber's jack, the latter of which has a patch on the right side looking like an x-ed out eye. In addition, he wears blue jeans and a set of black combat boots with blue accents.
  • Goals: Currently, Lucas's only goals are to not get fired and to get enough money to pay the bills and save up for retirement. There's nothing saying that he won't aim higher later on, but having been unemployed for months have left him more concerned with not messing up this one chance.
  • Allegiance and Position: 「JAM」, Investigator.
  • Gear: Currently, the only major gear he has with him is a special gun that he can take apart should he need to carry it across the border. Otherwise, he depends on his wits and his Stand ability to resolve situations. He currently lives in a one-room flat, which he attempts to keep clean, although he's stored several items under the bed.
  • Bio:
    • Lucas was born in a small town not too far from London to a sheep herder and his wife. The boy often felt alone in the close-knitted community, though, as he was the only person in the village with a Stand, and the other villagers didn't believe his mentions of a mysterious grey mask. Over the years, however, the boy found he had a knack for finding stuff that was hidden, and ended up deciding he would be a private detective. He would end up leaving for London at the age of 18 to get a job at a private investigator agency.
    • For the next five and a half years, Lucas ended up solving several cases given to him and working his way up through the agency. However, approximately six months before the start of the game, things took a turn for the worse. What should have been a simple fraud case went south as the suspect set off an explosion to keep Lucas from following his trail. The doctors say he was lucky to still be alive, but with his eyesight completely gone, Lucas didn't feel that way. Even if he could compensate by seeing with Castle of Glass, he knew he wasn’t going to get his job back because no one would go to a blind man for help with any sort of case. He would have probably been sent home a broken man had it not been for a job offer from a man working for Jam – assuming Luke was willing to go to West Berlin, Lucas would be hired as an investigator for various Stand-user related cases. Wanting the chance to start over and get his life back on track, Lucas accepted the offer.
  • Stand:
    • Name: Castle of Glass
    • Appearance: A plain, grey-ish mask. Where eyeholes should be, though, there's just red X's
    • Stand Type: Suit/Worn Type

Name and Codename: Jack Osbourne Codename Gremlin

Gender: Male

Age: 19

Personality: Jack is a down-to-earth person and while fairly good-natured, he also has a nasty temper that has gotten him into several street fights. Jack also tends to be quite blunt when speaking, which can make him come off as rude or tactless at times. Although he isn't an easy person to befriend, Jack is loyal and fiercely protective to those who have gained his trust.

Appearance: Jack stands at 5'11 and is built like a swimmer. He has short brown hair that is trimmed shorter at the back and sides, sharp amber eyes, and lightly tanned skin. Dresses in a dark red shirt, brown work pants, a tool belt and a bomber jacket. Jack's hands carry the faint smell of machine oil, and he bears a prominent scar on his left forearm.

Goals: Apart from being interested in learning more about「Hamon」, Jack's primary goal is really to lead an accomplished life.

Allegiance and Position: 「JAM」, Field agent and sabotage specialist.

Gear:

  • Toolbox: A metal toolbox used to store the majority of Jack's tools, as well as some miscellaneous items such as duct tape, spare parts and loose change.

  • Wrench: A large adjustable wrench made of stainless steel. Perfectly good for either dealing with stubborn bolts or cracking skulls. Jack keeps his wrench on his tool belt when not in use. Jack can channel Hamon into the wrench for his Overdrive attack

  • Residence Jack lives in a small two-floor garage/safehouse provided by the agency. The lower floor has all the necessary tools needed for his work and has enough space to hold 2 cars. The upper floor is an office that Jack converted into his living quarters. It contains a bed, dresser coffee table and a chair.

Bio:

  • Born in Canberra, Jack's family emigrated to Berlin after the war and opened an auto repair business. His early childhood was fairly normal if one disregards him discovering his Stand when he was five. Due to being the son of immigrants (who were from the Allied side, no less), Jack had to deal with local bullies harassing him at school as he grew up, and had issues making friends with people his age. One of the few individuals he managed to befriend while growing up was Wilfred Strauss, a JAM veteran and Hamon practitioner who had taken an interest in the boy and his Stand, As the years passed, Wilfred became a family friend of the Osbournes, and began training Jack in using Hamon when he was 15. A few years later, Jack was given the offer to join JAM, in return for the agency providing financial aid to his family. With his parent's blessing and his mentor's approval, Jack accepted the offer and became their sabotage specialist.

  • Name and Codename: James Weber; Lion’s Roar (Lion for short)

  • Age: 17

  • Gender: M

  • Appearance: A young man with a rough beard, and long brown hair in serious need of a coming. Often dresses in rags when on a mission to appear homeless, and blend into the background. When not on a mission usually dresses in a leather jacket, striped blue and white t-shirt, jeans, sandals, and a green baseball cap with his long hair tied into a ponytail. Rather tall and lanky, standing at 185 cm.

  • Goals: Rescue his father from JAM

  • Allegiance and Position: MARCH, scouting and surveillance

  • Gear: A backpack with one jar of scorpions, and one jar of bees in it. A rat he keeps in his pocket named Herr Cheese. A German Shepard named Rocket. Then a falcon named Sunny which has been trained to follow him from a distance. Finally he has a small tape recorder, some duct tape, and a small knife.

  • Bio: When James was a young teen growing up in the big city of Berlin, he dreamed of becoming a traveling musician when he grew older, just like his dear old dad. However when he was 13 his father told him that some men where after him and that they needed to move. James asked what he meant, his father simply told him there was no time, and that he had to take this flute to the city of Dresden, where he would meet with him in a few days. James left for Dresden and waited for his father, however he never showed up, and he was instead greeted by a woman who would only refer to herself as Legacy. She informed him that his father had been captured by an organization known as JAM, and that the only people who stood a chance of rescuing him was her own organization MARCH. She told James that years ago his father worked for her, and that she believed that with the right training he could become a great agent like he was, and maybe even rescue his father from JAM. So he has spent the last 4 years training, and with the help of the stand inside of the flute his father gave him he hopes that he will be able to help rescue his father from JAM's clutches.

  • Stand:
  • Name: Jungle Boogie

  • Name: Eleonore Fuchs, a.k.a. Vanilla
  • Age: 26
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: The term "beanpole" comes to mind. A tall, thin woman standing at 6'2", with a thin body and generally no muscle definition. Her face is round and small, and her skin pale from lack of exposure. Her hair is a bright white (she refuses to answer if it's natural or bleached) and kept at an unkempt ear-length cut. She carries herself very meekly, and often tends to look away when speaking, though she insists it's not because of shyness. She has dark brown eyes, and oftentimes that's all one gets to see of her face due to her choice in clothing. No matter the season, she wears winter gear. It gets lighter in the summer, often down to just a coat, but in the dead of winter she often wears enough to where everything but her eyes are covered in thick amounts of scarves and insulation. The clothing's generally drab in coloring and isn't especially flashy or fabulous in construction, unlike many others' choice in attire, but it carries a unique air of its own due to its out-of-placeness and doesn't attract much attention in the winter.
  • Goals: To get over the Wall along with her entire family in one piece, alongside finding her father and figuring out where he was for the last 15 years.
  • Allegiance and Position: 「MARCH」, Field Agent
  • Gear: Decidedly low-tech, if only because of the ease of her niche. She often finds herself performing evidence destruction duty, and with the forensics of the day all you need is bleach, gasoline and a lighter to make a good portion of incriminating things unincriminating. Otherwise, she doesn't carry any weapons on her person aside from a concealable flare gun. She lives with her family home, not a terribly spacious place but at least it's warm. They are kept in the dark about what she currently does for a living.
  • Bio:
    • Eleonore was born into the Fuchs, a moderately wealthy family who were known for their Berlin-based book publishing business, on November 1st, 1937. Due to the actions of the German Student Union some four years before her birth, literature that wasn't directly produced or in praise of the Nazi party seemed to be dangerous property, and the general attitude towards those who make books was one of suspicion. The Fuchs establishment managed to evade the wrath of the government by kowtowing to their demands and producing state-approved literature. Though they weren't inwardly supportive of the Nazi regime's policy on printing, they knew it was the only thing they could've done to keep themselves alive. In 1940, a clerical error in the Reichskulturkammer allowed a small print run of H.G. Wells' War of The Worlds to be made. Though it outwardly had no particularly anti-Reich issues in the book, it was still written by a Briton and therefore considered verboten. It would take a whole year for the government to catch this mistake, and by that time the Fuchs had already sold the entire run. For the crime of printing anti-German literature, they had their printing license revoked and their bank account frozen. The judge considered it the lighter out of two sentences he could've given.
    • Now without a source of income, and barely anything left in liquid assets, the Fuchs family had to scramble to support their four children, along with relations displaced from their homes during fighting on the eastern border. The early life of Eleonore, second youngest of the children, reflected the mood in Berlin at the time: though they had less to go around, she didn't particularly mind it much. As the general outlook on the war worsened, she didn't particularly care and kept her disposition sunny. In 1945, her father, Martin, was conscripted into the Volkssturm. Though they got through the Soviet invasion without losing anyone at home, Martin never returned from the Battle of Berlin, and almost everyone in the family assumed him as dead. Eleonore took this particularly roughly, and seemed to withdraw inward.
    • On the matter of her power, it was evident at a very young age. Being the time that it was, she was pleaded with desperately to make sure that she never used it in anywhere but the most private situations, for fear that the party would take notice and spirit her away. She found the nature of having, from a young girl's perspective, an imaginary friend very entertaining, but as she grew older and realized that there were pretty much zero applications for its ability in day-to-day life she tended to ignore that it existed.
    • As their home fell on the Eastern side of the border, Eleonore's mother, Minna was obstinate about trying to pass over into the West. She always claimed that it was because Martin would return, and he would never be able to find them if they moved. Eleonore didn't understand it at the time, but she eventually came to believe it was just because Minna was extremely stubborn to any change she didn't approve of. The family eventually found a kind of uneasy stability without the father, and her older brothers would step up to take the responsibilities of work. Eleonore didn't particularly suffer, having no memories of the upper-class lifestyle, but she remained emotionally stagnant as time passed on.
    • One night two years ago, recently after the erection of the Wall, Eleonore found someone on her walk back home from work. It seemed a chance meeting, but in that dark December night she could make out her father's face. They talked for well over an hour, though he refused to explain where he had been all of those years, and she spent most of it answering questions on how life had been since they had last met. After a long time of very emotional reunion, Martin bolted ahead of her. She wasn't sure if he had somehow timed it perfectly, or how exactly he had done it, but he managed to make it over the wall without being spotted. Eleonore felt bewilderment at what had just happened, sadness that the one she barely knew had just gone...but deep inside, she felt the pangs of 「resolve」. Long ago, she had resigned herself to live on her own side of the wall, that nothing could be done to fix what. Her father's action showed her that if someone like him could do it, risking his life for a better world on that side, then she would only be wallowing in her own grey life if she never tried to do it herself. Also, she was pissed to all hell that her dad would just up and leave without explaining anything like that. Trying her damnedest to find a way over, she was eventually contacted by 「MARCH」 agents for her ability. She found out through them that getting one person over the wall was easy enough, but getting her entire family wasn't going to be so simple. So, she works with them in the hopes that they either find a foolproof way, or in more of a pipe-dream thing to topple the entire government on their heads.
  • Stand:
    • Name: 「Ice Ice Baby」
    • Appearance: A tall humanoid made out of some kind of crystal, which changes from an opaque iridescent to transparent depending on unexplained factors. Its head is made of one large, featureless crystal and it has more jutting out at various points, giving it a spiky appearance overall.
    • Type: Power-Type

Lion and Jungle Boogie and Fuchs and Ice Ice Baby are approved. It actually brings the numbers up to 5 on JAM and 4 on MARCH, and I'd be comfortable starting once we get a 5th for MARCH.

  • Name and Codename: Johan "Teckno" Popov
  • Age: 32.
  • Gender: Male
  • Appearance: Standing at a lumbering 6'2" with broad shoulders and well-defined muscles, the horn-rimmed glasses and lab coat he wears seem odd by comparison. Intense grey eyes look out from behind the glass, waiting to absorb any and all information they can. His blond hair features the occasional streak of jet black, all of which have been cropped to keep out of Johan's sharp, angular face. Adjusts his glasses in a multitude of ways, none of which people would call normal.
  • Goals: To fully understand the universe, including these perplexing 「Stands」.
  • Allegiance and Position: 「MARCH」's own personal scientist.
  • Gear: Due to usually staying at 「MARCH」's base of operations, Johan often has access to a plethora of scientific equipment but also often co-ordinates with field agents via short-range telecommunicators. On the occasion Johan takes to the field himself, he brings a few small notebooks to write down field observations as well as pteri dishes to take any interesting samples he might find back for further study.
  • Bio: Born in a small village deep in the Motherland, Johan's childhood was not uncommon for one growing up in the Soviet Union. His parents were secretly devout, hiding their displays of religious love from the communist government. Johan, having propaganda convince him that religion was a road of false lies and watching as his parents' health deteriorated, worried for his parents and informed a Soviet Officer that they were possessed by a cruel religious fever. Not long after, his parents were taken away 'to be helped', while he was put into an academy to focus his mind away from such things as family. Unlike with most, this worked wonders on Johan, who took to his studies with a fervor that outstripped even his parents' own feelings for religion. With an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and learning, Johan traveled all over the USSR, studying everything he could. Finally, he arrived in Berlin, where they figured his scientific mind could help win the front. Having heard about 「Stands」before, Johan leaped at the chance to acquire one for himself, hoping to learn even more about the world from it.

Stand:

  • Name: 「Cruel Angel Thesis」
  • Appearance: When activated, a purple halo forms around Johan's left wrist, seemingly constructed from some sort of feathers.
  • Stand Type: 「Ability」-type
