As mentioned on Flipping the Table, both tropes often go hand in hand. As long as it's clear that the character's frustration comes from losing in a game, I'm happy with having a table flipped in the image.

The pic on Flipping the Table doesn't have a game in it so any of these suggestions here are different enough that they'll work fine.
Still prefer 1.1 over Gaston. I don't think the mid-action still really works.
