Cut. If you want to complain, you can do so in an intelligent and civil manner using reviews.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?I concur. Wallbangers is redundant with DMoS, and at least DMoS has regulations that posters must follow, not to mention the fact that there's also the review tab.
WB is little more than an authorized complainig page. IMHO, it should be cut.
Agreed, redundant with Dethroning Moment Of Suck, which has very solid and effective guidelines to prevent it from becoming pointless complaining, unlike this. It's not supposed to be linked anywhere, so it can be cut with little to problem. I see no reason to keep Wall Banger and would be glad to see it go.
I can live with keeping D Mo S and cutting Wallbangers.
Yeah, we can do without wallbangers. Cut it.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportVoting to cut, since it's basically a more complainy D Mo S.
Yeah, at this point, I'm in favor of cutting Wall Banger.
It's not only a redundant thing with Dethroning Moment Of Suck around, but unlike the latter, it allows for too much "freedom" with Complaining About Shows You Don't Watch. We're better off without it altogether and keeping a sharp eye on the D Mo S pages.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.Personally I'd like both gone, but if it's a choice between the two, at least DMoS has rules.
I guess the obvious solution would be to redirect Wallbanger to DMoS, but we could also turn Wallbanger into an exampleless Flame Bait definition page if people feel like it.

Just kill it entirely. If there are no examples, there's no point in keeping the page.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Hooked a crowner.
Keep in mind that this crowner is attached to two different threads and not all options are mutually exclusive, but some are.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanCalling crowner in favour of a complete cut of Wall Banger. Redirecting it to Dethroning Moment of Suck did not gain consensus.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanTo whit, the To-Do list is:
- Cutlist all pages here; moderators will then approve them.
- Add a note on the main discussion page.
- Dewick the main Related To page; locked pages should be handled here.
- Cutlist Wall Banger.
- When it's cut, request a lock on this thread.
Calling some interested people here and also to the other thread: ~Karxrida, ~Josef5678, ~Yasmin Perry, ~Willbyr and ~Berrenta (more than 5 notifiers don't work, apparently)
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanOkay, that sounds like a good plan. Is there anything in particular that you want me and the other interested tropers to do?
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows. If you have time and interest (or anyone else I messages) you could work on the to-do list I posted.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanOkay, #2 has been done. Will work on any dewicks/cutlists now.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportI argue that if Wall Bangers (a MASSIVE stockpile of information) is to be deleted, then Gushing About Shows You Like should be deleted in its entirety as well, as both reflect subjective opinions that many people may disagree with. There are flame wars that have stretched for hundreds of pages on other forums started by, say, someone complaining about some aspect of Star Trek: Enterprise, and an Enterprise fan responding with an angry rant. Or the other way around. I'd say that these audience reactions are intricately related to the works themselves, and deserve their own heading.
Furthermore, this decision seems like pandering to fans of controversial works, and is likely to contribute to Natter showing up on trope pages, since anti-fans will no longer have a designated space for detailing Unfortunate Implications-filled or Narm-y parts of works. In my opinion, it's better to have a designated place for negative aspects of works and negative audience reactions to works than to pretend that controversial works don't have these negative aspects, which is what this decision looks like to my cynical eyes.
Eh, negativity will still live on in reviews (which really need better visibility) and Dethroning Moment of Suck.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWe've cut it from every page save, time to cut list.
That's done. As there's nothing left to do here, I'm gonna lock this thread. Good work, everyone.

I've cut it. Thanks for all who helped here!

Crown Description:
What would be the best way to fix the page?
Spinning this off the discussion about Dethroning Moment of Suck so that we can have a tag on this page.
There has been discussion in the other thread about this being a complaining page and one additional issue I see is the complete lack of rules or even good style, including a large amount of natter. I'd favour a complete example cut here, myself.
To whit, the To-Do list is:
