Few Akuma have done more than moderately to severely inconvenience the citizenry, and fewer still affected a large section of the city- it's usually contained to a few blocks, or a single location. Really big things get corralled to the Convenient Stadium.

And again, the Spandex Girl puts back anything that ends up out of place.

Perfectly safe place to live, yes. The tourism industry must be booming.

In comic, American superhero actually tells Ladybug that their villains are bigger and much more serious the butterflies she has to put up with in France.

She does not. I doubt Hawk Moth could even reach someone all the way in America. Anyway, by third issue comics got just a bit... outside the box.

Honestly if word has gotten out that Paris regularly gets fucked by a magical butterfly terrorist, only to be unfucked by two teenagers dressed as a lady bug and black cat, all those Europeans who would be chasing storms if they were americans will come flocking.

All 6 episodes so far are out there in English dub.

Question, according to both wikis (Ladybug and regular) English version is called Robustus, not Robostus like in French. Is that right? I'm not sure if I sure rename episode in Recap page.

Hawkmoth really is awful at this whole choosing minions things. He gave this one the means to kill him. Though he's always been rather powerless in getting them to do what he wants in general.

[up] It's pronounced Robostus by all the characters, at least.

Is it? In every dub I looked it pronounced "robo" with both "o"s said the same way like in Robocop. But English?

It's more pronounced like word "bust".

Hawkmoth has an somewhat affected way of speaking, but even so that's still very clearly a drawn-out "ah" sound, as in "robot."

The character who most commonly uses the name is Robostus himself, and he also pronounces it like "robot," a lot clearer because he doesn't have an accent.

Episode 6 You know, I wonder if perhaps the Guardian doesn't know that much about how the whole wishing thing works. Since its obviously been done before, I wonder his old organisation knew of ways to spread out the equivalent exchange, or perhaps allowed the use of the power for certain preplanned actions

[up] I really wouldn't be surprised if he was missing information, but I doubt that he's wrong about equivalent exchange. After all, it's the combined power of destruction and creation used for the wish; perhaps destroying and creating something is what lets it happen

Sooo, episode 7 is out, in case anyone missed it.

I LOVE Hawkmoth's reaction when the akuma targets not the angry bodyguard like he expected, but the nearby crying baby :D . His few seconds of utter incredulity followed by "Fuck it, I can work with this" had me keeling over with laughter.

I especially liled his reaction to the baby stopping to play with the car. It's the perfect setup for a DM vs. Players joke.

Also am I wrong for feeling like this show is "fake" French sometimes. Like 70% of the conflicts are at or near the Eiffel Tower. That's like if it was set in New York and every action scene happened around the Statue of Liberty.

Uh, you know that it's actually made in France, right?

I know but it still feels fake French. That's the point. I mean cant an Akuma go and fuck up some other piece of historical Paris?

Light the Arc Dr Triomphe on fire. Blow up the Lourve. Do some Halloween bullshit in the catacombs.

There's been a couple of Louvre battles.

There are a few tropes covering that.

Gigantitan was the best episode Hawk Moth ever had. I know he has secret depth, but so far he was a really dull villain. Definitely, it made the best part of superhero section of the episode, but honestly, I found sub-plot to be more interesting and funnier.

Yeah, the show is still content to focus on Of The Week format, so far just trying to appease us with small revolutions, like Hawk Moth's identity, some details about his plans, Chloe promising to character develop (...Again), adding Kagami or that last episode thing. I hardly complain because episodes so far have been really good.

I mean, Dark Owl is one of my favorite episodes so far. Cons note are heavily outweighed by pros. note Also...note

Most fans assume that the transformation has a whole magical glamour built-in, that being the only justification for the Clark Kenting.

Apparently Netflix is waiting on them having a full block of 13 episodes ready to air, while the European networks are willing to take them as they come.
