As for what I can comment on in the meantime, as far as balance concerns go:

Creating full-sized tornadoes would be too powerful.

And I don't know what the Fluorite Octet is, so just saying that the hammer has a similar effect doesn't tell me anything. Or anyone else not familiar with Homestuck.

@Nagisa Stick: Alright, I got around to skimming John's entry on the character trope page; it was actually smaller than I was expecting, given Homestuck. His personality seems accurate enough; your sheet makes him sound way less powerful than he is in Homestuck but I'm assuming that's on purpose nerfing on your part since he's apparently a demigod by the end of Homestuck, and obviously I'm not going to allow that.

The only issue is that your description of the Vrillyhoo Hammer still doesn't tell me enough. "Pony Stampede", "T-Rex", and "Naptime" I think I can guess, that being summon effects and a sleep effect, and "Reroll x 2" is obvious, but with the others there's no way for me to know just from their titles alone.

However that doesn't really matter because I don't think I'll allow it in as-is anyway, because for one it sounds too powerful as an Infinity +1 Sword, and for two the rolling mechanic is not really workable in the RP context. Either I allow you to make the rolls, in which case there's no way for me to know that you aren't just cheating and making up what roll you got; or you have to wait for me to make the rolls, which would be inconvenient for the both of us.

I say you should just drop the random effect and have it be a particularly strong hammer.

• Story: Beyond the Boundary (shortly after the film)
• Name: Mirai Kuriyama
• Age, gender, and species: 16/F/Human
• Appearance: "How unpleasant."◊
• Personality: Mirai is a shy one, always reserved and often anxious. This does not mean she is weak—her philosophy in life is always 'keep moving forward'. No matter how bad things get, she refuses to give up. She does not trust easily, subconsciously assuming that everyone hates her...but the friends she does make, she will stay loyal to until the day she dies. She is a bad liar, always wiping her glasses when lying, but she keeps trying. Due to being poor, she is easily sucked in by offers of money.
• Back story: Mirai is one of the few remaining members of a cursed bloodline of Spirit World Warriors (people who can see monsters called Yommu and kill them for money) with the power to manipulate their own blood. This cursed blood has followed her like a massive, inescapable shadow her entire life. For much of her life, she has been as an antisocial recluse at best and a dangerous monster at worst. All this changed when she met Akihito Kanbura and joined the small and close-knit Literary Club at her school. Since then...well, let's face it, her life has still sucked. She has been through a lot of drama (including saving the world at least once) and is almost always broke. But at least she knows what friends look like and how to make them. This should serve her well here...
• Skills/powers/abilities: Cursed blood runs through Mirai's veins. She can mold her own blood into a sword, shield, lockpick and droplet projectile and use it as a potent corrosive acid, able to burn skin and (under long exposure) go through metal. Unfortunately, this gives her anemia after prolonged use or hard battles.
• Items: Just her phone, which she could theoretically blog from. Theoretically.
• Other: My favorite color is blood.

The one thing I can comment on so far is your note about blogging from her phone. She'll be completely cut off from her own universe, including any access to its internet. So... Who would she be blogging to?

@Too Many Ideas: Alright, sorry about the delay; I got caught up hanging out with my friends and doing something together that we haven't been able to in a long time.

Anyway, I read through her character entry; the sheet seems mostly accurate save for some big things I assume you left out as part of spoiler avoiding. The only thing really "wrong" per se is that you only mention her blood making a sword when her character entry makes it clear she can manipulate it into other forms as well, including a shield, blood drop projectiles, and a lockpick.

Also, I couldn't find any reference on the character sheet for how strong and acidic her blood is supposed to be. (Which also speaking of which, I'm assuming she's immune to her own blood's acidic effect.) If we're talking like, instantly eat through flesh and metals then I'm gonna have to say no to that; but I'd be fine with it eating through metals with long enough exposure and leaving burns on skin.

• Story: Undertale
• Name: Asriel Dreemurr
• Age, Species and Gender: A male boss monster (a type of monster whose soul can last a short while after they die) of unknown age; though presumably a child, for the most part.
• Appearance: Your best friend, for real this time.◊
• Personality: Kind and polite, Asriel's surprisingly mature for supposedly being a child. Even though he's come to view life more optimistically now, he knows everyone isn't nice and you can't always solve problems without some fighting. He can be a bit of a crybaby and is rather docile, but if it means doing something wrong, he will refuse or at least resist. He's willing to help others in need, cares about others and cares a lot about those he loves. Despite all this, he's rather lonely, thinking that nobody truly understands him, and can get clingy to his friends. He also feels really bad for the things he did while he was his "other self", Flowey.
• History:
  • The son of the king and queen of monsters in the Underground, Asgore and Toriel, not much happened in Asriel's life...until a human, the very first, fell into the Underground. Asriel found the human child and brought the child to his home. His parents ended up adopting the human and the two very much acted like siblings. Asriel considered the child the best even when the human wasn't and trusted him. So when his adopted sibling was dying and they wished to see the golden flowers of their home, Asriel absorbed their soul when they died. With their souls combined, their control over Asriel's body was shared. His adopted sibling picked up their body and they crossed the barrier. When they arrived at the village, the humans assumed Asriel had killed the child and attacked them. His adopted sibling wanted to unleash all of their power, but Asriel resisted. With no way to defend themselves, they were lethally wounded and went back. He died in his home, his dust spread across the castle's garden.
  • Next thing he knew, he was a flower. Confused and afraid, he called for his parents. Asgore soon comforted him but he soon found he couldn't feel anything without his own soul. He wasn't truly Asriel anymore. Now he was Flowey. After getting fed up with trying to feel anything from Asgore, he ran. The same thing happened when he met Toriel, except instead of going away, he decided to kill himself. That was when he discovered his ability to SAVE, the power to go back to a previous "SAVE point" and, by extension, changing everything. At first, he used this for good. But without any emotions, it didn't last long and he got bored. He then started doing other things, horrible things. But he got bored of that as well and the only thing left was to somehow gain the power of the human souls Asgore managed to get.
  • At least until the eighth human came to the Underground. He thought it was his adopted sibling and watched the human journey through the Underground, befriending and sparing everyone they met. He decided to use it to his advantage and after they literally did this, he told a certain skeleton to gather all of his friends to help "stop" the fight between the human and Asgore. The real reason he did that was to distract Asgore, letting him get the six human souls, and then absorb the souls of all the monsters gathered there. Flowey was restored to his original body and then started fighting the human. But the human persevered. They saved the souls within him...and saved Asriel from himself. Asriel had his emotions back. After asking the human for their name, he deeply apologized to Frisk for what he did and broke the barrier so the others so they could live happily. Then he went deep into the ruins, where he would turn back into Flowey and no one but Frisk would know. At least, until he ended up here.
• Abilities/Powers/Skills: Not much to note about Asriel, though he can presumably learn and use fire magic in the form of small fireballs like his parents. And, like any monster, if he absorbs a soul, particularly a human one, he'll become much more powerful. Though this is unlikely inapplicable considering the powers he had when he had absorbed souls and the form he took would need some nerfing before it can be used.
• Items: None.
• Other: Asriel is taken from right at the end of the True Pacifist Ending. For simplicity's sake, he won't convert back to Flowey for the duration of his stay unless something causes him to turn into him. I'm also considering him soulless because of that and since he released all the souls he had.

Hey, I did ask Yomegami if he was gonna switch and he answered he'd switch to that Xenoblade character so I decided to take over. Besides, I didn't have the heart—nor confidence to play him—to screw with Sans by playing Papyrus from the True Pacifist Route.

I've actually been having second thoughts regarding whether to switch to Melia over Asriel. At the very least, I feel I'd be able to write for Asriel better than I'd be able to write for Melia.

On the other hand, it's also very likely I'll switch to someone else entirely if I don't decide to just stick with Zelda. So if you really want to play Asriel, I won't stop you.

RIP Grimlock; you will be missed.

Edit: Uh. But isn't sans the only Undertale character who's around? (Yeah, I know there was Undyne and Asgore, but they're "not in the city" anymore or active).

There's just been a lot of Undertale in this RP in general; maybe not in the fact that there's been a bunch of characters from Undertale all the same time, but in the fact there's been constantly an Undertale character active not to mention all the references people are dropping. YMMV on whether it's a good thing or a bad thing.

While on the subject of signups, I think I've finally settled on a backup. I swear this will be the last signup I post until I actually use one of them.

Oh boy.

• Story: Mighty No. 9
• Name: Call
• Age, gender, and species: Female Gynoid of unknown age (Looks to be somewhere around mid-late teens)
• Appearance: Confirmed.◊
• Personality: Call is a robot, and for the most part she acts like one. She doesn't emote much and has a relatively straightforwards method of thinking. That being said, if something seems off to her she'll usually pick up on it and be relatively quick to comment on it. She's also not above the occasional snark from time to time. She's generally content to help others from the sidelines, but she's not afraid of combat and will get involved directly if need be.
• Back story:
  • Call is the creation of Dr. Soichiro Sanda, an accomplished (if somewhat cowardly and buffoonish) specialist in humanoid robotics. For most of her existence, she served as his personal assistant.
  • One day, a nasty virus broke out that drove robots haywire. Call managed to avoid infection by virtue of being offline at the time. After she was brought back online, it was decided that she would help assist Beck, Mighty No. 9, in bringing the chaos under control.
  • For the most part she simply served as Beck's spotter. However, there was a time where she and her creator were called upon to go find Dr. Blackwell in prison, which required her to protect the both of them as they sneaked past the security. During this time she discovered a few things about herself that were a little illogical for someone supposedly built to just be a secretary.
  • The mission on the whole was a success; the infection was brought under control, and the robots who weren't completely devoured were restored to full functionality. Call might have gone back to her normal role as Dr. Sanda's assistant, had she not been one of the "lucky" winners for a free trip to an inter dimensional city.
• Skills/powers/abilities:
  • Like all robots in her world, Call is made out of nanomachines called "Xels." As a result she's tougher than a human would be. She's also capable of reforming herself so long as Xels are present and her core remains intact, but in the city this doesn't matter too much.
  • She can generate a spherical energy shield around herself capable of deflecting bullets and blocking physical strikes. However, it's rather draining on the energy and as such she can't sustain it for long periods of time.
• Items:
  • She has a jetpack that lets her hover in addition to allowing her to dash quickly for a short burst.
  • She also has a bow that shoots arrows made of energy. The shots are relatively weak and cannot penetrate thick armor, but hit with enough force to knock things around.
• Other: Her character page mentions her having a motorcycle dog she can ride on, but this isn't mentioned anywhere in-game and as such I decided to leave it out of her signup.

Oh okay.

-sees Yomegami's new sign up- Wait, the game's out? -remembers- Oh yeah... ... Now I need to watch a playthrough of Mighty No. 9 so I can feel confident on playing Ray and have something to do instead of indulge in my urge to write another sign up not too long after posting one.

Alright, kind of forgot about this for a while and got distracted, but I have gotten to it before I went to bed!

@Shoutmon Z: As with all the previous times, I have not personally played Undertale or watched a full playthrough, but I have a lot of second hand experience and was able to collaborate with one of my friends who has played it through himself. He said this all seems accurate and it seems right from what I know as well.

As for the soul absorbing, well yes that couldn't work exactly like it does in Undertale since the first and foremost thing gained seems to be reality warping, which is a no go here. I could accept it temporarily beefing up what he normally does and acting as a general buff, but otherwise it shouldn't do much else. (Also @Full Moon though the topic hasn't really come up with Sans you should consider the same to apply to him.) Other than that, everything seems fine.

Asriel Dreemur is accepted.

@Yomegami: Like with Undertale, I have not played Mighty No. 9 nor seen a playthrough, and while none of my friends have played it either to my knowledge, one has seen a full playthrough of the game and helped me out here. (Although he did admit to having a significant bias against it.) The only thing he said seems wrong is that he doesn't recall her ever being snarky; so I double checked the character page entry which ultimately agrees with your sheet. Though it did seem to give the impression that she only snarks about people while they're not around. (I find it strange that the character page entry actually contradicts itself about whether or not she's immune to the robot virus, but that's not particularly relevant to the RP.) Anyway, it seems alright enough to me.
