Needs Help: Splitting:Useful Notes:The Americas

I feel that Useful Notes: The Americas should be split into Useful Notes: North America (Which includes the Central American and Caribbean countries, both usually merged with North America as a continent) and Useful Notes: South America. The other continents got their own separate Useful Notes (For example, there is not a Useful Notes: Eurasia. Instead, we have Useful Notes: Europe and Useful Notes: Asia), so why don't North America and South America?

Edit: I added Greenland into Useful Notes/The Americas, as it is also part of North America.

This feels to me like a definition dispute that a reorganization of the article would not add anything of substance. Right now it's basically a Useful Notes superindex for the countries in this region of the world. I'm inclined to keep it as is.

ETA: Also, since this thread was posted, Greenland has already been indexed on this page.

Nothing wrong with including Greenland in both. It's geographically North American, politically and economically European, and culturally both. In all honesty, this doesn't even sound like there's an actual problem here.

I added Greenland in to Useful Notes/The Americas index soon after I made this topic, I forgot to edit my post to mention it until now. Shall we move this topic to Projects, then? I also think splitting it into 2 different useful notes for each continent (Useful Notes/North America, which would also include the Central American and Caribbean countries, and Useful Notes/South America) would make them easier to manage and less cluttered, and there are separate geographic maps for each continent if we do split it: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/43/Location_North_America.svg and https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0f/South_America_%28orthographic_projection%29.svg.

There is no need for this to stay on TRS. It can go straight to Projects.

Thanks, Septimus. Now we just need to start a Useful Notes for North America, turn it into a index, switch it and the index for South America on, and add the geographic maps for the two continents.

Now all that's left it to add Geographical Maps, turn https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/UsefulNotes/TheCaribbean into a redirect, and do something about https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/UsefulNotes/LatinAmerica and https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/UsefulNotes/TheCaribbean.

Is there a reason why The Americas was offered up for a cut? A disambiguation would serve as well. Or just keep as is.

It seems pointless to keep it up with there both being Useful Notes for North America and South America now, though a disambiguation would work just as well now that you mention it.
