Yu-Gi-Oh! Wrasslin': A Very Original Interest Check

You can't build a city without workers, after all. And that is why having all this new talent is so important. To continue on our, admittedly short, legacy."

The woman in the wheelchair smiled as the reporter finished jotting down her notes. "I hope that helps."

The reporter flashed a big grin back at her. "Oh most certainly, Miss Zahn. I look forward to continuing this interview after Battlefield 4." The reporter's smile waned as she checked to make sure no one else was watching the room. "And, if you can, could you, uhh, get DJ Deadbeat's autograph for... my son. I— He's a big fan."

Miss Zahn laughed and nodded. "Of course. Now, if you don't mind, I have some other guests to speak to..."

Just outside the door stood a small group of rather interesting characters, all waiting to hear from their new boss. For they were the Newbloods and only time would tell if they would live up to the hype.

Well, it's been a while since someone made a ridiculous Yu Gi Oh RP. Sure, I have a full time job but psh, you don't need stuff like time and energy to run an RP, right?

Jokes aside, I have had this idea for a while. It started as a sortof kindof fanfic idea (which I still have full plans to write, just not now) but I figured why not make it an RP?

So a few quick ground rules.

1. No pushing, no shoving, no pulling of hair. That is to say, play nice with your fellow R Pers. This is not a competition but rather a co-operative experience to create a fun and breathtaking show. For those of you familiar with the trainwreck that is Arc-V, Entertainment Dueling is what we do. That said, heels are welcome but try not to overdo it okay?
2. No superpowers, no magic, no Duel Spirits. This universe's Duel Monsters are entirely non-magical. There is Solid Light but it is very weak and most of the heavy looks of the damage is due to the effective selling of the professionals. Your character can be all weirdly religious about the cards but there is nothing there.
3. No Qlipoths, no Nekroz, no Tellarknights. No meta decks. This is more of a case-by-case basis but please. Just use your common sense. We want fun duels not twenty turns of sending Valkyrius to end the Battle Phase.

With those core rules outta the way, I figure I should explain a little more about how this thing'll work.

I am GM of both the RP and the World Dueling Federation^TM. I'm in charge of booking who fights who and all that fun stuff. That said, I am open to in-character bouts and feuds, should they seem fun and interesting.

Each "night", depending on how many players we get, will consist of a certain number of duels. Each duel happens one at a time but that doesn't mean your character is useless during this time! You are off-camera so you can go talk to your co-workers and watch the current match! You are more than just dueling machines!

There are also opportunities to cut promos, should you so desire. Although doing so without running it past the GM could result in ~consequences~ so do so with care!

There's more but I'm tired and I just wanted to get this out there before I put any major thought into what this is gonna be.
