Putting aside the issue of whether it's off-putting or otherwise, it sounds really dull. It's not because I'm not into guys either; having entire episodes of someone lying down next to the camera and talking to it sounds mind-numbingly boring.

A+ quality staff for an A+ quality product.
It's like Training with Hinako but with bishies?
Okay, so let me guess the "types" that will be featured in this anime: 1. The moe guy a là Hakone (who apparently was really popular with Japanese ladies if Pixiv is any indication) 2. The yandere guy 3. The aloof guy that deep down loves ya, ya know 4. The Tsundere 5. The cynical guy who is reluctant about emotional attachment 6. The quiet introvert who is hard to read 7. The flirty guy 8. The really polite guy 9. The older, cool guy 10. The 2edgy DARK TROUBLED LIFE guy 11. The guy who is really dedicated to the heroine 12. The enjoyable jackass guy
There, I just wrote the series composition. $25 an hour please.
Sounds about right. Bad as otaku culture is with women, transposing their fetishes has proven quite easy.
It hardly sounds interesting in itself, but I can't help but think about the interpersonal problems of a society where this would be marketable.
Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years.I always thought that harems and reverse harems are pretty much the same thing. For example, if you gender-flipped Yona and added some fanservice, you get Vanadis. I guess it's just that harems are much more tolerable when filtered through typical shoujo tropes.
Symphogear GX might be aired in July 2015. There's currently little information available. I'm not sure if they going to change the date though.
They tend to have different dynamics. Harems are about sexually suggestive incidents, reverse harems are more about seductive character interactions. Those that are secondarily harems are likely more constrained by the actual story, so the two will end up more similar.
I agree that shoujo tropes are more tolerable. The only harem I like as a harem (as opposed to those I like in spite of being harems) is Watashi Ga Motete Dousunda.

any news on Jitsu Wa Watashi Wa 's anime yet?
Secret SignatureNot really, just the main cast and the day it starts (June 20th). And a few isolated pics.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Am I the only person who prefer the anime's artstyle to the manga's?
Possibly not, but it definitely lacks a lot of the manga's messy, rough-hewn charm. Smooth and pretty just doesn't fit that anarchic JWWW vibe.
What's precedent ever done for us?Well that, we will know when we get a preview.
Let's not forget that an anime is supposed to be… animated. Jitsu wa's artstyle is great, but adapted to a static format. Akane's =D expression, for example, seems kinda hard to adapt in anime: you can't have her moving around and talking with a Frozen Face. As is the shadow work that makes the reactions so delightful.
So we'll see how they deal with all that.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.True. I was expecting the faces to get toned down from the start, to make them easier to animate and keep on-model.
I couldn't conceive a dream so wet; your bongos make me congo.I personally think the JWWW characters look like Sonic characters. But the artstyle is far from my only gripe with the manga.
Sonic? Because of the noses? <.<
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo. Those are some conspicuously tight trousers on the promo poster.
Is that person on the right with the really tight trousers a dude?
Unclear, but whoever they are, there's something not quite right about their spine.
What's precedent ever done for us?And he has a severe case of Shinbo's Neck.
Whenever I see really tight pants, the only thing I can think of is that it's going to be impossible for that person to sit down without tearing his/her pants.
Give the God Eater game thread some love!Of the series announced thus far, I'm most impressed with the trailers for Gangsta., Akagami no Shirayukihime, Rokka No Yuusha, and Overlord. In the case of Overlord, I initially wrote it off as another wish-fulfillment show like SAO. After checking out the trailer and the manga, however, I'm really digging the darker and more visceral take on person-gets-into-a-game genre (almost reminds me of Dungeon Keeper or VideoGame!Overlord). Madhouse seems to be making a return to form, and about damn time too.

Together, we are one.>implying madhouse was ever out of form
also according to that link toriyama is writing the plot for this anime. so GT really IS defunct now.
