I always wanted to see a space-themed level in a Banjo game where the transformation was a moon rover. Like, maybe you're in some kind of moon colony, and going outside costs oxygen. There's a jiggy out there, but you can't reach it; you'd run out of oxygen and die before you got to it. So you had to turn into a moon rover and go collect that "soil sample."
So... It'd be nice to see something like that in Yooka-Laylee.
Hey, is it possible to upgrade your digital copy to a physical copy yet? Playtonic said they were working on it, but I've missed a lot of backer updates, so I don't know where we're at.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?WiiU version was cancelled for "technical reasons". Guess it'll be Switch instead.
Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence.Wow, that just keeps looking better and better. That's definitely my favorite looking stage so far, hands-down. And we got a release date, too! Can't wait to play!
'Yooka-Laylee cancelled for Wii U due to "unforeseen technical issues"'
:(
The Protomen enhanced my life. The reason they gave doesn't make sense because the Wii U version is the lead platform if they are having problems with it the PS 4 and Xbox One version wouldn't be able to be made. So they obviously started on the Switch version way before since it is the lead platform.
The technical problems is obviously Nintendo announced the Switch and that they're stopping production of the Wii U.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureI'm late to the discussion, but I was going to say that I wanted a sort-of casino/Macro Zone area and... how about that!
I'll also vouch for the above-mentioned Zeerust level, and... hmm. Maybe a magic library?
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaTechnical problems here meaning it isn't the Switch.
Sonic has taught me that casino levels are always fun. Gambling is also fun. I have a problem.

They're using Unity. That argument falls apart due to the engine's "build once, ship everywhere" setup.
It's kind of nice to see a level that isn't that very first one. I know we have that first level, an icy castle, and now the Cashino. Any word on the total number of levels we'll have by the end? And we have a release date!
I kinda want to see a Savannah type level. It's one of only a few real world biomes that neither BK or DK 64 ever did.
Welp... that's annoying. It doesn't help that I don't have a PS4 nor an Xbox and that my PC is crap. Now what am I gonna do...
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Wait for them to announce a Switch version on January 12th.
I will probably get the PS 4 version because I just purchased a PS 4.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureYeah, but for that I need to get a Switch first. And... y'know, money.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Since they had plans for an amiibo for the Wii U version and the Switch is going to support them as well, I'm thinking Switch version for myself.
I know they dropped it for Wii U, but no Switch listed as a platform? Wellp, least I have a PS 4 now.
So just when I think this is the only holdout of the explorative 3D platformer, Super Mario Odyssey comes along.
Are we on the verge of a revival of this subgenre? I hope so.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page. That would be awesome as hell if we get a resurgence of 3D Platformers this (Semi) Generation.
I could see it happening, so long as both this and Odyssey are successful. Mario 64 launched the N64 era exploratory platformers, after all.
Don't forget A Hat in Time coming out this year and Psychonauts 2 coming out next year. This makes me very happy
As expected, a Switch version is still coming. As if there was any doubt, but it is odd that the Switch wasn't listed at the end of the latest video.
Make something that involves manipulating gravity. Either a space station or some bizzare "inside a hollow planet" sort of deal. Just so you are not sent falling upwards infinitely into space.
Though I'm probably shit at level and puzzle design, so I don't have any more ideas for that one.
